Most profile views?

11) Simply being an active member for a decent period of time?

The OP is certainly very active - not in a sense of post numbers as it does not add up with the views and the duration of being a member.
There are members with more post per day yet very little views and also members who have been in GTPlanet for much longer and more posts but considerably less view. Anyway, he might have made a world record of most view in the shortest time frame.

I've been a member here for less than 6 months, with more than 500 posts, yet only 7 views - I must be very unpopular.

Toronado
Yeah. That's what I thought. That's... a lot of GTP members, then. Around 1/9th of GTP's total membership finds swara interesting enough to investigate further.

Maybe not. One person could've visited 27,000 times...

No, they can't. I just logged out and tried viewing a member's profile page. You can view profiles on Forzaplanet, but here at GTP you have to log in.

We hold a higher standard of profile viewership here at GTP, over at Forzaplanet anybody can view it.

Anyone would like to add ? :O and I hope I am not making a post that rack up views:crazy:

I get a few because I'm "That Crazy opelgt1969 guy" and for my wheel diagrams I have in my pictures>

Look at this thread to help with G25/G27 tips. Lots of older tips about the G25 when it was first released. Yes most is related to GT4/G25 but will help with GT5P/GT5. Also look at my G25 pictures for some diagrams for the G25.

How ? By using another account then keep hitting F5 on the profile page ?

It wasn't meant to be taken literally, it was just saying how if people visit more than once it still counts, unlike Toronado was suggesting with his percentage of users checking out the guy's profile.

I started thinking of how do people rack up views, and I've got a few already just by summarizing what I've seen everyday in the forum :
1. Offering Drag tunes, Drift tunes, or any general car tunes
2. Being a fool with posts that borders of violating AUP - the usual textspeak, insults/verbal attack and pure ignorance of AUP
3. Pretending to be a girl
4. Being a troll
5. Debating Mods by making interesting claims
6. Criticize certain game vehemently in every opportunity
7. Opposing the general view of the forum about drifting and drag
8. Discussing about not using driving aids in GT5 and pointing out that ABS is brake aid - guarantee will results in a lot of discussion + more views.
9. Making great claims
10. Making a heated discussion on GT5 vs Forza threads

Anyone would like to add ? :O and I hope I am not making a post that rack up views:crazy:

Yup, done a lot of that.:D

Another one is just using the Visitor Message system a lot, Carbonox and I worked out that only Mattythedog and Ross have been using it more then us since the start of the year.(yes I was bored so needed to do something)

Just shy of 2,500 which explains my wall with a decent amount of viewing, if I managed to get out of the Racing Series forum more often I'd probably have a lot more, as I generally talk rubbish.:D

2,561. I'm willing to bet that half of those views are from the same member.

Where is this on your profile? I don't see it on the Statistics or About Me tabs, and that's the only play I could think it would be at.

You've been here more than 7 years and you never noticed that profile feature? Shows how much of a crap you give about it.

12. Who's that PITA Mod who doesn't fit the first 10 criteria?

I have never heard of that, probably you worked it out yourself in reality. :dopey:

I'm just wondering, does any other couple (I use that term somewhat loosely) have a longer VM conversation than me and akmuq? Apparently the aforementioned two do, and wow, they've been spamming each other for an eternity. Makes me kind of jealous :boggled:

I'm just gonna post here and then edit in what number I am

577, I feel unwanted

Probably folk looking to see who has just given them a warning or infraction...

A friend on this site once tricked me into artificially bumping his profile views. I won't go into details, but I managed to get him about 500-2000 views every couple of seconds.
It was stupid and the friend obviously tricked me to do it as I would never do something so sill.
Nope, not me. :dopey:

Anyway what happened was the site went a bit funny after a few tries. I tried to reload the friends profile and I'd get a (database?) error. It fixed itself eventually and the profile could be loaded again.
However I did get a message from Jordan (:nervous:) the day after explaining that he saw something strange happened, looked into it and found out I visited my friends profile a couple thousand times in about 5 minutes...

Not only did I risk getting banned, but as Jordan so kindly explained to me, the site host could have thought it was an attack on their servers. :ouch:

It was when I was still a new member and I'm definitely never doing that again, that's for sure.

I never did such a thing 👍

Hmm…I've got a VM convo of 3872 with my mate, does that top it? :dopey:

Looking at it like that, my 4,978 views suddenly "makes sense".
