Dodge: Challenger 70',Viper SRT-10, Viper GTS
Ford: 2000 Cobra R, 04 Mystichrome Cobra, 95 CobraR, Ford GT, GT-40, Boss 429
Plymouth: Cuda
Pontiac:Trans Am WS6 package, GTO(classic and late model)
Saleen: S7, S281, S351

Another wishlist, I appreciate your a new member but in future could you use the search first and you'll find Johns message to new members at the top and usernamed's thread about GT4 which is also at the top very useful. Welcome to GTP.

There's only one "muscle car" that I truly want in the series and that's the Buick Grand National. My other fav, the Cuda, is already in it. 👍

I only see maybe 3 muscle cars in that whole list. You didn't even name one Chevy muscle car. I am not being a jerk, but I just want to clear up a muscle car was a full sized family car with a big engine for low money. The Corvette is a sports car. The Camaro is a pony car, but it was cheap and did have a big block so this is considered by some a muscle car, not me, but I will give you that one. The Chevelle is a muscle car. It is also in screenshots for the game.

Yeah I forgot some, but you get the picture. I can't believe I forgot the chevelle. :dopey:

I'd like the '71 Ford Mustang BOSS 351 to make an appearance. Ain't gonna happen though.

It should happen!!!!!That is a classic!!Maybe if they get rid of that sorry ass capochino car, maybe they could put your car in the game.

Someone said that someone should close down this thread. My response... hold your horses! This is more like a wishlist if anything else. I'm not a serious fan of muscle cars, but I am an auto enthusiast. So in the past, I came up with a topic Eagle didn't happen to scoop up, and that was called simply called "American Cars." Here is the link, as you can update it as much as you please:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=40095

This thread features a semi-successful discussion on potential American cars to make it into the game. Note that I didn't say "Muscle Cars." Why? Not all American cars are muscle cars. Would you call the Dodge Neon SRT-4 one? Would you call the Ford Focus one? No and no. it was all about American cars, and from that thread, you can view some discussions we've shared. Now if you want to check out my other thread talking about a specific car nationality, search the GT4 Topic "Australian Cars." Until then, welcome to the Planet. Enjoy your stay.

It's Cappuccino... and it's actually a very good car...

0-60 in 8 seconds... 60-0 in about 3.

The engine revs all the way to 10,000 (Gauge shows 12,000 - redline at 8,000).

657cc 3 cyclinder engine with 4 valves per cyclinder, Multi-point injection, DOHC and a turbo.

Shame the real version has a speed limiter at 95 MPH though!!

As a past owner of said Cappuccino (I had one for 8 years) I have to agree...... it was a fantastic little car that could out handle much more expensive machinery (as many Miata/MX-5 owners found out)...... it was a little slow in a straight line by todays standards but it was bags of fun. The actual redline is 8500 but you could rev up to 9500rpm without blowing the engine and the speed limiter is set to 85mph....... but one snip of a certain wire removes that and lets the car get up to 125mph (some claim 130mph). I liked the high revving nature of the car so much I ended up with an S2000 as my next/current car.

Is that your old cuppa?

I think I saw that on the Autotrader recently... (Either that or it was a V similar number plate!!)

My girlfriend owns one and I was insured on it until recently (Money being the reason I'm not) Ours (hers) usually gets upto about 90 before the limiter kicks in.

It's mega quick off the lights though and can beat a lot of cars (Mx-5's and MGF's get whooped!)

I love it and think it's fantastic fun and very rare too... there are about 10 MX-5's in the car park where I live and they all look as boring as each other.

Yep they are pictures of my actual car...... I sold it two years ago to a guy from Cardiff who has tuned the car quite a bit....... he added a new turbo, new wheels, uprated brakes and a few other bits and pieces such that the car now really flies!. I don't think he would be selling it yet as he seems to love it!. If your GF isn't already aware of it check out the UK owners club at www.score.org.uk

I miss it sometimes but then I go for a blast in the S2000 and soon forget it!!!! ;) (pic attached)

Must have been a different personalised number plate then... I'm pretty sure it said that it was a stock car for sale and didn't mention any work in the advert!!

Our's is Red too (Much nicer than the silver one) although I did see a Green one the other day (Must have been a grey import or a spray job!) on another ad site!!

Yeah the previous owner of our cuppa told us about that site and it's full of useful info but we've not joined.

Your old cuppa must be mega sweet now!! I've never found the brakes lacking on that car though... it stops on a sixpence!!

I've always liked the S2000... Blows the arse out of its competition (Boxster, Z4 etc) yours is pretty sweet looking and I like the colour... very similar to the one that VBH was giving away on Fifth Gear the other day!!

Big deal, my car has 5 more cylinders than that thing, can we get back on topic here? I feel the muscle car image may actually be hurt by being in the game if there isn't a type of drag racing mode. I know that has been beaten to death on here, but I am not going to get into that. It's the same as taking that Cappucino to only drag races. It would do miserable, but it isn't the intent of the car.

I don't know about hurt, just reiterate the truth... fast off the line in a straight line... not so good in the corners or on any surface that isn't dry pavement... might put muscle-heads in their place about the limitations of those cars when it comes to real racing.

Watch your Cuda be owned by a miata on SSR5 Wet. :sly:

This game needs the ulitmate American Muscle Car...

The Chevy Cavalier Z28!! Maybe throw in the beastly Pontiac Sunfire as well!

the new GXP (replacement to the ****efire, um i mean sunfire) is confirmed in GT4... so your wish has been granted :D we don't need the crapalier i mean cavalier in (man there must be something wrong with my keyboard).

Greyout
I think you mean Z24

Uhh...oops yeah I suppose that's what I meant.

Anyway, I think having the Cavalier in GT4 would be cool. I mean EVERYONE has one currently/knows someone who has one/or had one in the past. It would be awesome for average Joe gamer to take his silver Cavalier and smoke a pack of BMWs. Besides they're at least twice as stylish and sporty as the Echo/Vitz.

^ my mom had a metallic blue crapalier for a year... what a piece o junk... but on the bright side it forced me to save my money and buy an '88 RX7 Turbo that year... so blessing in disguise.

"Get rid of the Cappucino and put in a few more muscle cars..."

No offense, but what is up with these muscle car fans on GTP? I understand the small cars lack power and performance and can't stack up to a Mustang, but come on now. Small cars can be as much of real cars even if they don't have a V8 and 3,000+ lbs. If you look at my "Small Talk" thread in the Cars in General category of threads, take a look at all the fun machinery that can still provide the joy of driving even if they are small.

Having said that, I disagree with getting rid of small cars just to drop in muscle. Because you have to realize something. First of all, not everyone is into the same cars as you are. Name me a Kei car fan that loves muscle cars. I have full respect for the Mini Cooper and what it brought to racing, even if it couldn't knock off a Porsche 917. Gran Turismo was founded on the principal that every car can be a performer even if someone in another nation thought they were pieces of s***. So what if GT4 had Daewoos and Saturns? Or what about the Tatas from India? It would be nice to have that sportscar from the country of Morrocco. But you can't have 30% muscle cars because the world has much more impressive machinery than muscle cars. Muscle is good, but there is a lot more to this world. So, uh... easy on the other cars, please.

can we get back on topic here?

Come up with a topic that's worth getting back on. We've been here before. You notice those links? You bother clicking them? Anyone? Hmm? Of course not.

I love that you call on people to present their thoughts on muscle cars only to tell them what is and isn't a muscle car.
