My GT5 has been dispatched

I just got an email from CDON.com (a swedish retail store on internet) that my GT5:CE has been sent and it has already arrivde to my home town postal office, so they said I will get it tomorow :D
 
I will be scouring all retails to see if anyone can sell me an early copy. I hold little hope, but its worth a try.
 
I got it all planned out, I was approved to be off on the 24th, hopefully Gamestop will have my game by Tuesday afternoon/evening then I can pick it up on my lunch break or after work. Then spend all night playing it, then spend all day on the 24th playing it since my wife will be away at the beauty shop getting her hair done and that takes all day:lol:

After reading what some guys have said on here about where HMV ship from it might actually take a bit longer but a Monday/Tuesday is more likely.
I don't think any shops (on the street) will sell it before the 24th as I don't think they are legally allowed to do so.
If you already have a Pre-order then dont change it as it'll make very little difference as to when you'll get it. This weekend will be VERY lucky. If you havent already pre-ordered it (you crazy person :p) & you want it before the 24th then pre-order it from HMV or ShopTo. I've ordered with ShopTo before & always get this before release date. First time ordering with HMV but it should arrive Mon/Tuesday at the latest.
I'm considering ordering a CE from Amazon. Was slightly tempted to order a SE but its just soo much :( All I want is the GT wallet, USB & Apex book, Not bothered about the Merc car (would rather have NTSC's Nissan :drool:)

Well i have had it pre-ordered at play.com from late last year and have heard bad things about them, and the last time i bought something from HMV they were very good.Im not really bothered if it comes monday/tuesday but would be extremely happy if it turned up at my door saturday!👍

Trust me...

Wait and think about it a second. You are about to potentially ruin any chance of getting it on release day because...

1. Pre-ordering now on HMV- you will be at the back of the line (I'm assuming the first pre-orders are the ones sorted first) and seriously, it's Thursday. They wouldn't have it done in two days.

2. Cancelling with Play would be a disaster because if HMV let you down what would you do then?

Just consider it for a second- Wednesday isn't far off and you might be lucky and get it on Tuesday.

In all honesty, anyone expecting the game before Tuesday is a nutter. :)
 
NOBODY WILL GET THIS GAME BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE BECAUSE THE RETAILERS WILL NOT RISK THE FINE THAT WILL BE LEVIED ON THEM FOR DOING THIS.

Any chance any retailers in London will be selling them in stores these next few days? (I'll be going to London for the next few days)

Bah, that's the best you can do?

With my time machine, I've had the final build plus all future DLC for years now. I've super-completed the game: gotten every trophy, plus 10 that never existed and never will exist. I won GT Academy on every continent, plus the future submarine-only round at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. I personally consulted with Kaz and Logitech on the G47, G57, and G67 racing wheels (G67 includes full force-feedback body suit capable of imparting 5 lateral g's).

Still waiting on GT6 though. :(

Thing is, this happens all the time here. Not at all uncommon to get new games a couple of days ahead of release.
 
Ive been asking around and most UK retailers in my area arnt physically getting their copies until Monday or Tuesday :guilty:so anyone who gets it before then is quite lucky
 
I say anyone who claims they are getting their copy tomorrow or Monday is talking horse**** Tuesday will be the earliest that anybody will be getting the game unless they have someone working "on the inside"
Retailers won't risk being fined just so that the public can get their copy of GT5 a couple of days earlier.

....then you should probably check up on your English grammar. It is perfectly acceptable to use capital letters to reinforce a point.

If that is not what you are referring too, then please elaborate.

By the way, you will not find the word "noob" in the Oxford English Dictionary.

And back on point, I think we are all hoping to get the game early, that happens most of the time. But getting it tomorrow or Monday is too early. We shall see though :) maybe 1 or 2 people will get lucky with a small local retailer or whatnot.

The earliest I'm expecting delivery is Tuesday. Sometimes I get my pre-orders 2 days early, but that's very rare. (Shopto.net)

I consider myself relatively new, and i've been here just short of 18 months. What is a complete fail is the fact that the person you quoted has been a member on here since 2006. To quotes lots of 'noob's: "FACEPALM".

You're here two months and you're calling others 'noob' in a manner that doesn't even attempt to be nice.

Post count isn't everything.

I'll get mine tomorrow pal.

In France, retailers don't care about release dates. There are no fines.
Some retailers have even made ad in their store saying the game arrives friday or saturday.
 
Only a UK court can impise a fine.

A large retail company would not risk their relationship with a games distributor/developer in the same way that the
games distributor/developer would not risk upsetting a large retailer. They all need each other equally, so they have
an agreement not to release titles until a certain date. This also helps advertising and merchandising budget planning etc.

Whatever happens, if you get your game a day earlier than the 'official' release date, it's planned and agreed beforehand.

I got that email last night but there was nothing in the postman's bag for me today :(
