My Amazon Order doesn't even say Dispatch Date for my 320 Slim an GT5 CE :grumpy:

Course it does say on the Order Page "Wan't this on the Day of Release Selct 1st Class" so I did and there only Charging £1.99 for the Delivery , i'd still be really ticked off if it doesn't arrive on the 24th

Thankfully i've got the Standard Gt5 at Game to Collect aswell 👍

I consider myself relatively new, and i've been here just short of 18 months. What is a complete fail is the fact that the person you quoted has been a member on here since 2006. To quotes lots of 'noob's: "FACEPALM".

Anes, has not only actually read the previous few posts, he actually understood them. You will see how he has aquired the new skill of using capital letters for emphasis. I'm sure we will see much more of this in the future.

Notice also how the 'noob' completely ignores that he has made a complete arse of himself.

Now notice of the 'noob' goes about making another arse of himself. Isn't he doing well.

If he keeps going in circles like this he will reach his pointless target of X amount of posts.

Wow, man, it's like you guys LOVE to have the mods babysit you. Relax guys, it's only the internet.

Hearing all these stories of people's copies getting sent out makes me wish I had pre-ordered online myself. Well, let's see if it pans out for you guys or if you end up sitting by your mailboxes all weekend :D

I emailed gameseek.co.uk about my preorder and was told that they were expecting their stocks of GT5 on monday and that i should expect it tuesday or wednesday.

It would be amazing if i did get it earlier than that but afta 5 yrs of waiting i spose a couple days is neither here nor there is it.

Im so anxious its not even funny!!!:nervous::scared:

Amazon UK here too and mines due for the 24th but we can live in hope of getting it on the 23rd :).

Mine too. Awaiting the stealth codes also.
I think Amazon will post on monday (it may say dispatch on saturday/sunday) and it will be down to luck if it arrives tuesday or wednesday or thursday. Unless you have paid for the ultra expensive special delivery. Which i have not.

What i wanted to know was is the rumours true about the further two days delay?

I ordered with amazon - they havent taken the money yet or given me a dispatch email.

I hope there is no game stores selling any copies today as that defeats the purpose of pre-ordering !
 
That delay ended up getting canceled, from what I read. It was on some European blogs but Sony issued a statement saying something like, "No."

320 gb slim, ce edition and spare standard edition? im jealous!

upgraded to priority delivery yesterday when I realised how unacceptable getting the game on the 26th would be! but since im in ireland it cost an extra £12. extremely worth it :)
 
I didn't pre-order (never do) and visited today the store where I usually buy all games.

Tentatively asked (1st)
"Do you already have the game copies ready to put on the shelves?"
Reply: "No, only on the 24th"

Tentatively asked (2nd):
"But if you get them sooner, will I be able to buy 1 copy before the 24th?"
Reply: "No, only on the 24th"

Then I asked:
"But, without a doubt, will you have them for sale on the 24th?"
Reply: "On the 24th, yes!"


ok, fair enough, I'll ask no more ... :lol:

My Amazon status shows delivery estimate of '23 Nov 2010 - 24 Nov 2010'. It also shows first class delivery that I initially went for because it promised day of release delivery... however, they appear to have waived the extra charge for that due to failing to deliver it for the original delivery date of 2nd Nov. So who knows whether I will get it on Tuesday/Wednesday, or later if they forget that 1st class was initially requested if it's not being charged for...

Wow, lucky I pre-ordered with Play as well: they actually have GT5 in stock, mine should be dispatched soon.

Perhaps I was quite wrong when I mentioned not getting the game before Tuesday...:D

26th no way i'll be back at work by then :grumpy:

I only Ordered the 320 as the price was good and having the CE thrown in was a Nice Bonus

The Standard one was Ordered about two months ago , in Theory i'll have two PS3's and 2 Copies of GT5 . One i'll Use the other will be kept as a Spare just in case .

When GT4 Came out I got it a Day Early Rushed home after work and opened the PS2 Tray in Excitement , but I pressed the Tray close too Early caught the Game in between the Tray and the Machine and scuffed the CD/DVD and after that it wouldn't Play :dopey: .

So I had to Buy another Copy the Following Day on the Actual Release Day , to say it was a long night is a Understatement :grumpy:

My Own Fault for being Impatient :dunce:

Man, GT4 came out around my birthday and my auld fella got it with a steering wheel for me. But it turned out to be a crappy dfp knock off, I felt so bad telling him to bring it back that I didnt have the heart to tell him the game itself was faulty! had a GT4 that crashed every other race for around a year before I got a cheap second hand one. games were bloody expensive back then, like 65E new

I doubt it but thats where my PS3 slim 320GB with GT CE is ordered from and it says pre-order for the 24th or something along those lines.
 
play have changed there status to "packing" they have not taken my money yet though and the cancel preorder button has gone, need rush the bank get the money in there before they try and take whats not there.


edit--- play have taken my money it looks like as my accounts had money taken out of it and this is the only thing it can be for.
