LOL, that's pretty good.

I haven't actually tried anything serious yet, but my longest continuous chain without dropping the points is 12k+. The catch? I was driving a Daihatsu Midget. :D

I can recommend the RUF Yellowbird for the Grand Canyon track. It's not very hard to do 30k-35k in a single lap and, of course, single continous chain :)

Glubags - I love your siganture... It simply says it all so simple :D

Might copy it, with a reference to you ofcourse.

lol nice. but i don't count dirt and snow tracks 'drifting'

1. Drifting is Drifting, whether it's on asphalt or otherwise.
2. It doesn't matter if you count it as drifting (who are you?), the game counts it as drifting.

yeah its ME who who doesn't count it. Its MY opinion... lol.

Well your opinion is wrong. You can't have an opinion on something that is fact. For example, if it was your opinion that the Earth was flat, how valid would it be? Exactly.

You can't have an opinion on something that is fact.

:boggled:

I have an opinion on the fact that gravity is keeping my feet firmly on the ground.
Thus I have an opinion on a fact.
Unless you're telling me that I'm only standing here 'cos've the millions of tiny invisible fairies that're holding me down? ;)

I have an opinion that your statement above is untrue. That's also a fact.

Otherwise, you're telling someone else that they're not entitled to an opinion here?
That's also not at all true, and entirely not up to you to decide. Fact.

What IS your "opinion" on the fact that gravity is keeping your feet firmly on the ground.?

I'm curious...

It's probably best left to another thread, as it's not really on topic here.
Suffice to say that I'm more inclined to agree with Sir Isaac than I am to believe in fairies holding me down. ;)

i'll just have to say. *SIGHS*... Edit: just said some things that would prob be banned for lol. But discussion ends here. no more said from me..

So you believe "Proven Facts" & not "fairy" tails, but what is your "Opinion" on it... :scared: :sly:

ON TOPIC

I could be wrong, but I believe he was referring to the "fact" (just joshing) that IN-THE-GAME It IS considered "Drifting".

Technically in the real world it is an accepted term for Rally cars sliding through corners.

It is a fact that gravity is holding your feet to the ground, it has been proven, so therefore it's not an opinion.

I'm with ya on that one, whens the last time you saw D1GP on dirt / snow lol

We are all getting Off Topic....

Its just too bad D1GP doesn't define "Drifting". The term is accepted for sliding rally cars, they happen to be on Dirt. Rally Drifting has been around long before any Japanese Kids went into the mountains to slide there cars around the corners. Drifting more refers to sliding at an angle though a corner. Drifting on Streets with high tuned cars through the mountains windy roads in a Street race was born in Japan, this evolved into D1GP.

Now the Fact of the matter is, that we are talking about GT PSP, and "Drifting" in the game as it is accepted in the game. Your opinions on what is considered "Drifting" is irrelevant, and only serve to BRING THE THREAD OFF TOPIC, maybe you could start a "What is Accepted As Drifting?" thread and discuss it until your board to death, as you are entitled to your own opinion. However, Lets PLEASE keep this thread ON TOPIC.

ON TOPIC

Since I saw this video I ran a few Drifting Laps at the Grand Canyon. I got into it Old School Style with a Shelby 350...

Longest Single Drift
Track: Grand Canyon (Forward)
Car: Shelby GT350
Points: 29175

[/QUOTE]

It was a Full lap Drift, beginning when the Drift counter starts, and ended when I crossed the finish line. The whole laps is Sweet and clean, except 1 corner where I exit too much on the throttle and almost lose it. I dug in deep and was able to hold it together both front wheels on the rough bumpy sideline, but I come out and keep the Drift alive.
