One Ai trait is that they brake u r just about to overtake or juz overtake them. As such, whether it is late braking or early braking depends on ur relative position to the Ai. If u r tailgating, brake a little later to overtake during braking. If u r a distance away braking juz on time or slightly early braking can be helpful to avoid collision and get better exit speed. For Suzuka, let go of throttle before the sharp hairpins. The driving line can help. A ballpark time is 2:05 each lap to get number 1 on last lap. so no rush. Some do it at 2:00. I generally hover at 2:02 now. That shld get the lead by 4-5th lap when I redo the race in my other acct. For Rome, lead comes later usually at last lap ( so patience) while the other 2 u can probably lead by 3rd lap. Good luck!

If you got second at Rome, you are doing all the fundamental stuff correctly and just need to perfect it. Focus on braking points and see what impacts your lap times. That's not an easy race (ignore the braggers) but it's totally winnable for you.

Yeah, found early breaking very important. and turned driving aids down to 1.
3 main points ~ patience/slow in/smooth out.
I struggled with Rome too. took 3 attempts. but honestly found other 3 easy. I won Suzuka by 14.5 seconds 1st try.

I lapped the whole field by the second turn! They are way too easy! I won all four races by the third lap of Suzuki! Have I impressed everyone yet? They actually gave me the Jeff Gordon rubber face thing from the Nascar tutorials. It freaks everyone out when we do the go-karts online. He just stares and stares.

It's astonishing how detailed the cars are in GT, they allow faces to look like this!!!

Wal Mart scares me. I went to one a few years ago and realized the donuts I was eating had already been opened and someone had taken a bite out of one and put it back hiding their bite. And I got sick. Nothing terrible. Just a cold or something.

But I have never returned to a wal mart since. I'd rather play Ford Simulator 2.

Okay. I decided to go in and try these races again. I don't get it. I drive as perfectly as possible and only manage to pass 2 cars at the most and then they manage to catch up. What settings are you people using that are finding these races so easy? I've tried with everything off and everything on full but it doesn't seem to matter. I'm litterally going to destroy my PS3 with a hammer if I can't figure this out. I actually had to just turn it off and walk away because I was about 3 seconds away from destroying my DFGT and the PS3. I can't afford to smash anymore wheels or controllers despite how great it feels.

Just did the first and last race, won both on my first try. I only had a controller since my G27 needs to be fixed, but it wasn't too bad.

You are definitely doing something wrong. I entered the seasonal event without a nascar and it dropped me in a random one. Skid recovery was obviously on and I made it to first after a max of 3 laps on the ones I tried. Didn't get through all of them before I moved on to my online racing though.

Your car is not slower than the other cars. Dial TCS down to 1 (the PS3 controller really needs it), and keep ABS at 1. Turn off active steering and ASC.


Try Suzuka first, which is the easiest one, and just focus on perfect corner exits, which requires very slow and smooth entry. Don't try to pass other cars. Try to get low lap times.

Also, change your BGM to Sweet Home Alabama, which makes NASCAR cars go a little faster. Say Yeeeee ha every time you pass someone.

That's only for emergencies! Save it for Rome!

The best way to get your music from your ipod to your PS3 is to get a real MP3 player that isn't idiotic and transfer your music to it, then plug in a usb cable between the decent player and your PS3 and copy the music. Better yet, get a really nice MP3 player that uses an SD card, and just rip it out and shove it in your PS3. Violently.

Once all the music you like is on the PS3, put it all in a playlist and pick that playlist in GT5. Easy as pie.

I have only done the Trial Mountain event. This is about the first-ever time I've won a race in the Seasonals that paid out 1 million credits. Winning that race has gotten me enough A-Spec experience to reach Level 34. I'll need to keep racing this Seasonal to eventually make a lot more money and eventually reach Level 35, so I can finally (at least) visit the 24 Hours of Le Mans event. I may also keep racing this Seasonal so I can finally get to the 8-figure money. Most I remember having was about maybe 5 million Credits, which I ultimately spent to get the Audi R10 TDI.

I'll try to do the other events when I get around to playing GT5 again.

No need for sarcasm, it's lowest form of wit mate. I was just posting my experience with this seasonal. I admitted Rome took three attempts, Just that the other three were easy in my experience.

Don't forget to dial down TC for every race. Because it's a different "car" for each event, the driver settings are at default.

if you use ABS 1 try setting the brake distribution to 10/10 as it allows shorter braking distances by using the tires closer to their maximum limit.

I'm kinda wondering if there is a glitch or something. Just knowing how easy these races seem to some people, and then there are people who can barely catch the first car? It doesn't make sense to me that these people who are having trouble claim that they are putting in decent laps and they can barely pass one or two cars? Can it be that the code is fudged in some way to certain areas?

I wasn't talking about you and I do not care about how there's someone on a video game forum explaining how easy they found a part of the game. It's just silly to me. Those who need to do that... go right ahead. I just think it's really silly.

You have plenty of time with this race to catch up. Suzuka is a highly learnable track. Make sure the racing line is on if you're having trouble finding a good line. Take a race and just take each lap and go faster through each turn until you really get a feel for how fast you can go without deviating badly from the line. Your goal is to exit the turns faster. I know this is very general information, but that's all I got.

I would advise taking a Nascar to a different race featuring this track and just grind the track dozens of times until you have lap times that are as faster than what you are currently getting. That way, as you learn, you're still gaining experience and money, which should make the process less frustrating.

The only thing that makes these races hard to me is keeping the car on the track. I try and run the fastest laps possible instead of consistent laps.

For Suzuka, just stay on the track and run consistent sub 2:05 laps and you should win. Good laps are under 2 minutes and if you keep from spinning out, you should be able to get under 2:05 easily.

Just finally got got around to racing the new seasonal. Kind of a let down, forced SRF really.... did suzuka first way to easy had second place by almost 16sec. I like the idea of taking the cup cars to the road corses but they could have made the AI not be quite so slow.

I'm surprised they made such a deal out of this seasonal. It was boring and easy.

Maybe a good reflection of NASCAR racing though.
