This game intrigates the hell out of me, especially the concept...it looks like anything can come out of it, being very good or a big pile of dog poo.

I'm still not too sure about this game, at least not sure enough to pre-order it yet.

This ain't Forza :P

I'm in for the excitement, not the graphics....

Getting gunned down by a helicopter isn't exactly your walk in the park.

It's the late afternoon of the 18th here yet the demo's not out yet. I'm guessing it's not gonna come out at all here. We didn't get the U3 beta early (yet almost everyone had PSN+), we get hardly any games. And when we do, they're friggen' expensive. Guess I'll have to wait for a week till it'll finally come out on the NZ Store :grumpy:

I may cancel my pre order.....I was so pissed off when I heard the Miura and GT-R in that trailer, FFS EA, THE GT-R IS NOT AN INLINE SIX!!!!!!!!! The Miura is not a V10 either. EA's been screwing up GT-R sounds since Undercover, with the exception of Shift series.

There's a chance they're following North American time, so the demo may be out in 24 hour's time.

Well just did a quick search and found "You can expect the Need for Speed The Run demo to be available early morning (PST) Oct 18th!!" quote from NFS website.

Anyone downloaded the demo on the PS3 yet? I can't find it.. I don't really want the game, but I'll give the demo a try.

Like HP3, you'll likely find it through the search function... otherwise it's probably still not up yet... and if that's the case, I'm guessing ti's going to be up for sure by Thursday.. or whenever the PS Store has it's regular updates.

After saying all that, no I don't have it yet, in case you didn't realize

Store Normally updates Tuesday, but it hasnt yet for today, So it should be out by at lease tomorrow morning if not sooner.

The Need for Speed: The Run Demo is now available on XBox Live, and will be released on PSN next week. NFS: The Run is slated to be released on console and PC on November 15.

Looks like we'll have to wait a bit :(

Oh poopie... :( OH WELL. I have a ton of crap due next tuesday so at least now there's no temptation.

Thats interesting... GT5 DLC gets delayed until next Tuesday, and now this demo as well, but only on the PS3.. Hmmm.

It was ok for me. The handling was less ridiculous than HP but it felt like a cheap rip off of Criterion's game. Not convinced on Frostbite 2 for a racing game.

Demo was alright, graphics weren't that good and gameplay was alright, I'll probably pass on the full version..

Just played the demo and it was ok. The graphics look a little dated to be honest, i have shift2 and it looks way better. The gameplay though was nice, especially the winter mountain track, it really feels like a chase scene in a movie. I would definitely get this game to fill in arcade spot in my racing games collection, but the main concern that i have is that it says ONLY 300 km of race. Really??? I put like 100 miles at a time when playing GT5. That mountain track alone is 8 miles long. I dont want a game that will last a couple of days or a week at most. I think its time to cancel my preorder (i was so looking forward to Camaro ZL1), and wait for reviews and what they're gonna say about longevity of this game.

Graphics are indeed pretty dated, totally expected it.

I've been playing Hot Pursuit 3 too exclusively... took me a while to get the hang of late braking and having more control of my throttle and steering...needless to say, I'm going ahead with pre-ordering the game... I'll be able to improve on cornering after a few intense EOTWs.

I have 2:32.xx on Desert Hills, and 3:06.91 on Summit...

I have played the demo and must say it was quite fun and you actually need to use the brakes. However my main concern is the length of the campaign.
From looking at the map in the demo and the stages that were available it looks like that was about 15% of the whole race. I don't want to Finnish the whole campaign in one sitting.

Good I did not pre order. Might pick it up a year down when it's For 20 bucks at wallmart.
