Need more speed with the VGT Class Cars

I looking for ways to increase speed in the VGT cars. I'm sure its all about the gearbox setting but not for sure.

It took me a while before i figured it out as well, I tought it would be a pièce of cake, But they all topped out at ~ 320 km/h, Dispite the different settings.

The secret is slipstreaming, I don 't think it matters much, But i used the Toyota FT-1 when i won.

The secret is setting the front and rear downforce to the lowest possible and setting the transmission to around 225 mph.

I can't set anything on the FT-1. At least not for the vgt race. What gives? Do you have to change something in game options?
