New Acura NSX in GT5?

Judging by the way the FT-86 II Concept was released in GT5 after the 86 production car was launched (and even then as a prize car for those who bought multiple DLCs), I don't think we'll be driving the NSX Concept in the game until the actual car is unveiled circa 2015. As for the production NSX, I'm putting my money on it appearing on GT6 instead.

Really?? A production model maybe by 2015 but the concept isn't being unveiled in 2015. I can imagine us seeing a production ready NSX by the end of 2013. As for it showing up in GT5, we know it's modeled, and I'm guessing we'll see it very soon, within 2-4 months.
 
I for one would be astounded if PD spent 6 months of any employees time to model a modern car when they could just pay Honda to provide 3D modeling of everything, inside and out. They should already have software to do the grunt work with LOD, textures etc
once they have a 3D model to play with. In principal, its no different then sending blueprints and modeling to someone manufacturing components for them. In this case the final product is virtual AND by the fact that unless you're a PS3 hacker you cant even steal the finished product much less glean any valuable info. Which would be the only real reason Honda or anyone would be concerned about supplying PD with models.

How bout this... don't say anything till the DLC drops. Also your anger and frustration make you seem idiotic. Can I have hopes? Or is that illegal on GTP.

Did you see that youtube video with the new NSX in GT5? You didn't mention that in the OP. Maybe you should insert that in.

Didn't need to mention it. Why do you think I created this thread? First the Acura GT5 promo and now the Super Bowl marketing commercial. You were the only one who didn't put 2+2 together. I'm only bashing you because you came on here bashing this thread.

Seems like a given really at this point in my book. I'm kind of bummed in a way since I really don't like the car's looks all that much, especially compared to an old NSX. I love the older ones. This one seems kind of blah looking, but that's just me. Oh well, new stuff is never whined about around my ps3. I'll take it, it just won't be a new fav.

No kidding. Luxxus, Schwartz already said that he retracted his previous statement; let it go already, please. Not everybody may be aware of the confluence of events surrounding the NSX Concept- the GT5 video, that vid being posted by Acura on their website, the unveiling of the concept at the Detroit Auto Show a little while back, and the Super Bowl commercial.

If he didn't put 2 and 2 together, it may be because he wasn't aware that there were 2 and 2 from your original post.

I think it would be a bit of inspired marketing to drop the car into the game at the same time it is unveiled, whether as concept or production version, but Honda and PD may think otherwise. I don't run those companies or work for them, so can't really say. ;)

Yea I'm sure they have a model built for it already. Its just a matter of how they decide to release it in correlation to the release of its real life counterpart. Its suppose to be the GTR killer. I can't wait :)

The new NSX is gonna be great to drive on the Nurburgring, but the mighty Skyline GTR R35 will scare it in it rear view mirror, forcing it to pull over or face the wrath of the VR38. :trouble:

But I'm happy that the NSX is finally back. Now it time to modify it, to the labs.
 
I think it's more likely to be a free car, just like the 86GT and the updated Nascar roster...

If Honda are smart (and sometimes I wonder, I really do), then they'll have been working with PD and other game companies to get this modeled and ready (we already know PD has it, since it's been in some promo vids), and they'll have a contract set up by which the NSX doesn't show up in the game until the day (or the week, at least) it goes on sale officially. That way, it "goes on sale" in the game the same time it does in the real world.

Yes, the addition of the next year's Acura NSX into the game should surely have correlation to the actual release date of its real life counterpart, if it's going to be officially produced in next year or earlier(at the end of 2012), we'll have a high possibility of having the car along with the next update. But in contrast, if the car comes to be due for launch in the later period or after the year 2013, then we'll have got little(or no)chance of hailing it as it's beyond their intention to bother to pick up a future car that's not to be released for the duration.
 
i see the concept video on gt5 news, didn't watch it though.

please tell me they are adding this car to the game soon? i don't see why they would make a video about it then not add it to the game, so does anybody know if it will be in gt5 anytime soon or if it is at all?
 
no-one can answer that regardless.

All people can do is say it should be because of the marketing etc, but that is all.
 
I don't know about the game, but it will be in my driveway come 2015 (mid life crisis will call)
 
It's already been modeled as said so realistically I see it as DLC someday. I know the '73 Camaro will be in GT5 though as Kaz already said it's garuanteed.
