I don't doubt it, but I really don't care that much. I wouldn't use it that much. I hardly used the Hunter, and a big deal was made over that. It would be nice, but wouldn't phase me.

Also, apparantly money won't be as easy to get as usual. Since we're playing a homeboy-style game, profits from missions won't be that large. There, obviously, would be other ways. Repeatedly robbing houses and stores would be good. But I don't think it would be as easy as other GTA's to get money up quickly.

When you jack a car, you shoudl automatically get the change that has fallen under the seat ! ( Also change that the owners haveput in the ash tray..) should also include purse snatching !

I don't think purse snatching is in there, but maybe (just maybe) they will have a similar style of mugging as the criminals in GTA III...Doubt it though.

Not really excited about the planes....unless they put in the Boeing 747 in there. Those would be fun. What I really wanna do is just take a car, and drive and drive and drive and drive and drive and drive until my driving stats are full....and maybe even drive more after that. So many freeways...so little time.

Personally I wish the carjackers would be gone, I don't know how many times I just stole a nice car and it gets taken away from me. Pickpockets are okay though. I also hope the garages are BIGGER....like I hope you can buy a bunch of separate garages, and be able to shelter like 50 cars.

Heehee one more off topic thing.....I wish some of the crappier cars had open differentials so they would be one wheel wonders.

Yeah i fully agree!. Alot of info released said how there will be alot more money making oportunities, i.e side missions that youll be able to do from the begining, so im thinking once you get into the game abit and start making it you'll be able to experience sooo much more of the game than in the begining.

I wouldn't want a jet fighter/bomber, but a WW2 warbird woudl be brilliant. A P-51 Mustang or a Wildcat would be brilliant.

Interesting article at gamespot

Apparently, the smaller PSTwo console is going to hit markets the same day as GTA:SA's release. Right now, people are speculating that not only would SA be bundled with the Two, but this could be the cause for the one week delay. Currently this is just pure speculation, but it seems logical, seeing how Sony wants to cut into X-Box sales, and a scaled back PS2 with the hottest game for the PS2 could be the silver bullet Sony is looking for. And keep in mind the holiday season is coming, big spending is afoot!

Ev0 -- Yeah that info was just posted on the previous page, but thanks anyway. I'm not too sure what will be so much different about this "PStwo". I know it looks slimmer, but will it perform better? Will it have extra features?

TurboLevin2NV -- I know why you don't like the car jackers and you want more garages, but I'm one for realisticness. I personally think it would be cool if you got a bill every 7 GTA days, or even more realistically, every GTA month, so that if you buy too many houses or garages, you would have to have a bit of money. Also, I would hate it if there weren't any other car-jackers...I'm pretty sure they'll keep them, but I hope other Cop Cars chase after them.

i have a questions does anyone have or seen pictures of modified cars or pictures of the city based on san fransisco

Heh, If their were, I think we'd see it by now eh?👍

Although kids and animals might add some realism...I changed my mind about it. I first thought kids would be awesome, but then again, maybe not. Parents would see eventually, and probablt start complaining that their kids are shooting other kids. The animals would probably be the same way.

The cigarette lowering health however would be ok. Probably have someone's parents all happy.

Cigarette thing is quite cool. They're sort of pushing the "smoking looks cool (bonus), but damages your health (bummer)" style thing. So you can make CJ look 'cool' like a ghetto-ganster-mofo-party-person but you're gonna have to exercise like hell to stay strong and healthy.

I think it would be best if the animals are the same as the planes at VC airport. They look solid but are hollow. Anyway you would be lucky to get near a deer and such in the game. I just hope they keep seagul shooting in :D

I don't think there would be much of a problem with running over deer and cattle, animals have been getting harmed since before the Megadrive, I rember an old lightgun game where you shot all the animals.

Yeah I thought about the kids too.....but yeah as said before the parents would b*tch and moan about it. I hope you can stuff bodies in trunks of cars :)

I don't think there should be kids in the game, thats too far especially considering whats happend recentley in Russia. If they were in they'd have to be invincible and that wouldnt look right, leave them out I say.

What happened in Russia? Haven't heard yet....

What about refueling your car? I think it would be cool but a hassle, especially if you run out of petrol on the highway between Los Santos and San Fierro. That would SUCK. But I guess if there's enough gas stations....

And the flat tire effects. In VC it looked like the whole WHEEL wobbled. Isn't the tire supposed to just flatten? Hope they fix that....

Terrorist took a school load of kids and teachers hostage and then blew the school up when it was stormed. Over 300 died, it wa all over the news, terrible thing to happen.

Back to GTA though, I think adding fuel would be a neat touch, you'd have to make sure you had enough to get from town to town.

OMG....that's HORRIBLE. I can't that happened.....damn what's the world come to these days.

But I digress....if fuel was an option you could toggle on/off then it'd be a cool feature.

Car jackers should stick around in game so you can hunt them down and kill them, instead of disapearing .

Wouldn't it be good if there were mini-missions that happedned randomly in the game. Say you were just walking/running along and someone mugged you, then your mini-mission would be to kill the guy at his gangs base.
Fuel is a good idea, but i think it would suck. Imagine if you kept hijacking cars that were low on fuel. If it is ever included I hope you can push the cars to a garage or call for a pull.

I think fuel would add to the realism, and i would love it.... & it would be cool if you ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere and were able to hich hick to the nearist town to get gas(most people would stop them and steal there car tho), also i'm wondering has anyone else thaught it would be cool to have pocket bikes in this game ,that would rock and youd have a little extra toy to get hurt on.

The only reason I would hitchhike to get gas is if my car was worth it. I mean, blow tons of moolah on a car, then run out of gas in the middle of nowhere'sville? NOW WAY MAN. I AIN'T TAKIN DAT. But then again....the polics impound lot is back, so if you lose or leave your car there's a big chance it's impounded and ya gotta bail yur baby out. Not really bail....just walk in and drive away. Unless there's a cop near...then ya gotta pounce the accel an' get out of there.

Pocket bikes...I love those. Hard as hell to ride tho. Or maybe I just suck?

Heh, This game has turned from run around killing people kind of game to an RPG kind of game. My opinion. I like it:)👍

here is a picture of a car that looks like a starion only the back looks like an older chevrolet cavaleir infront or transfender :) i always smile when i here that.im not all that impressed on the looks of the cars after they have been modified but hey w/e very disapointed that the only performance mod is
nitrous oh well it'll get me through the country side quicker.

I thought they saved some kids and teachers, and got the terriosts. Guess not.

Stupid news.

Anyways, fueling might has well be in, IMO. I mean we've got swimming. Being a fat-boy, and taking turfs. I can't wait to see what GTChamp will do to San Andreas when and if it comes out on the PC. :sly:

BTW, according to PSM Reloaded, a little bit of every game has some GTA in it.

Or does GTA have a little bit of every game in it? :sly:

I like the idea of fueling but I'll probably forget to refuel my car before some important mission and totally screw up.

I'm looking forward to the PC release too. The modding scene is going to have SO much to work with with this game. It's gonna be awesome.

s13drifting - I've been looking for that pic for ages. Someone asked if there were any modified car pics around and people said no, but i was pretty certain that pic existed. Nice one.

Actually, there's been many pictures on San Fierro (based on San Fransisco), along with Las Venturas (based on Las Vegas). The only place we haven't seen yet is the desert. Also, that pic you posted above is the only pic of evidence of Car Modding we've seen so far.

Also, Fuel would be awesome. I've been asking for that (along with Blake) since GTA III. Kids would be going too far, but I don't see the harm in 13+ Teenagers. Animals would be fine, as long as they're not domestic.

Actually, I think there will be less large scale mods as there is alot in this game. The only mods you'll see are different modding parts and alot of smaller scale stuff (at least I think so). But who knows what this exciting game will bring!

GTAGaming.com: About the delay and Australia:
We've received some feedback about the AU Release date being "wrong" (despite it's source) and as an Australian myself I'm also having trouble believing it has any chance of arriving here then. Those of you who waited for Vice City to arrive here will know what I mean. That date just kept getting pushed back further and further...

However I'm making this post to introduce something to the Australians out there who didn't know about it. In 2002, Vice City arrived significantly earlier in New Zealand than it did in Australia, it also remained 'Uncut' unlike the AU version. More importantly, the NZ copy of the game is playable on AU consoles without a modchip.
Naturally that was the version I bought instead of waiting another entire month for the AU version. With all this said, I've assumed the same will happen with San Andreas and have preordered my copy from GPStore.co.nz. Maybe things will be a little more organized this time, but even then I can bet the AU version will have something removed - which I believe to be the reason Vice City's release was delayed here.
