I actually took a pic of that yellow car front because it looked interesting, but I'm not sure what it is either. That 3000gt someone said looks pretty close tho as it has same rear window, body shape, side skirts, and most importantly gt people love them lol

I think it's too square to be that. Lol and yes I no it's awful quality, but even more boxy than a Dino would be
 
There a millions of these cars at nurburgring as well of other garbage cars. I'm wondering if it's different garbage cars at other tracks
 
There's a thread somewhere on GTP for GT5 photomode pics on the Nordschliefe, and someone posted a shot of a snot-green econobox about a third of the way round the track (where you go over a bridge that's near a cafe) that greatly resembled the latest Ford Fiesta, and when I'm lapping the track, I see a background car near the Fiesta that looks like a Toyota Aygo.

In the pic that shmogt posted of the yellow 3000GT, there was a boxy silver thing behind it. It looked like a Nissan Bluebird 240RS.

Let's not forget about the British-registered Iveco Daily van on the Top Gear Test Track (as well as all the trucks there).

And if you want to look for more, you'll find that the infield of Indy is stuffed full of background cars. You'll get the best view from the back straight on the road course.

EDIT: On shmogt's first pic (of the Escalade), there's a car in front that appears to be a yellow Honda Logo (although you can only see the back end), and in the background on the same pic, I can sort of make out the roof of a silver Rover 416.

Ah, at last I can let my enourmous car-geekery shine through. It feels good!

EDIT 2: Hang on... that's not a Honda Logo, it's a mark 1 Nissan Cube!

haahah I thought exactly the same thing than people mentioned the 3000gt and it does make more sense. Like the other guy said theres a lot of random cars that look like real cars all over.
 
I'm gonna have a look round all the tracks and try and make a list of background cars. (I'll try to make pictures available ASAP). This is just what I think they are, so once I do get pics up, feel free to throw in you suggestions. NB: I will not include trucks and cranes etc that belong to track officials. I will include official vans however.

Hello GTP'ers

I just saw an Cadilac SUV in GT5 and my question is why can't we use or win it?
Most of you guys ( 99% ) won't believe me, so I will put a picture of it tomorrow in the OP.
Please don't say I'm stupid or something because it is in GT5, I will tell more tomorrow as my battery is running at 10% (IPod)

Cadillac SUV? Are you talking about a background car or a car you can actually use? The only SUVs in GT5 are by Land Rover and Infiniti.

Background, as I said it's non useable nor winable. I don't know if its a XTV, STV because it's blurry
