Hi. I am new here. been doing some drifting in GT3 and GT4. looking to have a little fun and stuff. Liking some of the drift settings. I got a Spyker and 'Cuda set up for drifting at the moment, but looking to tune more. (Ram is next) anyways. just stopped in to say HI!

hey all. I'm new to this forum been playing GT for a while, and I have been drifting on it for around a year now, I would class my self as maybe a intermediate drifter but no where near a pro. :). I started drifting with a R32 GTS-T standard, then i slowly modded it up, i think it eneded up with maybe 300kw at the end, I wasnt too good with that much power, when i pick my ps2 up again i will need to start drift skills all over again (:( ) but no problems, I am thinking of starting agian in a non turbo S13 too boost my skills a little bit.

Thats about all. Thanks :)

Well I am new here and and looking to learn a thing a two. I finally found a spot to put my newly acquired 32" tv and steering wheel. Boy now I really suck at the game. I have not spent a lot of time with it so that DFP is pretty tough to get used to. Anyways I crash a lot even when grip driving and spin out a lot when I can actually get a car to drift.
Great site by the way. I have a feeling I will be doing a lot more reading then actual driving for a while.
I also started playing GT1 at my friends house many many years ago, and just in the last year acquired GT3 then shortly after GT4 with the DFP wheel last Christmas. Now it's time to learn to drive and learn the tracks.

hello i'm new here and first i'll like to say i'm sorry i didn't find this website earlier.
i've being playing gran turismo since it began and yesterday was the first time i tryed drifting with my steering wheel. today i got one of my favourite cars- impreza 22b and i trying for a laugh to drift it after maxing its performance and i was shocked!! after 5 laps of high speed ring it was drifting with the steering wheel.

Just got into gt4 drifting . I am a regular drifter on Live for speed and Once i found out that the g25 was compatable with the ps2 and gt4 i quickly jumped onboard.

It took me awhile to adapt from live for speed and gt4. But in a way they are bot kinda similar. The main differnce is however the SNAP BACK! and that the wheel sensitivity in gt4 has a smaller dead zone where as Live for speed needs alot more input for u to turn and drift.

I recently went through a bunch of settings but found that Member Tankspankers setup with the sil80 was a prefect match for my style. I would have PM'ed him and thanked him but dont know how so Thanks tankspanker! Ive enjoyed gt4 alot because of ur sil80 soft setting. *big thumbs*

anywho, might as well show my g25 setup.

Hi. I am a newbie in drifting. I have been playing GT4 for 4 years and found it boring after a while, so i decided to read about drifting in GTPlanet. I love to oversteer my Nissan Skyline (R34), but cannot make it slide for few seconds. Anyway, this site has a lot of info about drifting.

I've been drifting for a minute but i never got around to signing up for a forum but i got a driving force pro and i got an xlink account but lol no ones ever on the america servers haha so if anybody wants to play over Xlink you can IM me on "Joeyfizzle775" I'm on all the time just hit me up And we'll make it happen.

Hey, my names Leo, and I started playing gt4 about 2 months ago. A friend recomended it to me. It's really cool and not all ricey like NFS(still fun to play around on though).I'm a really big fan of drifting and Nissan. I have about 10 cars set up for drifting in gt4: '98 Sileighty, '89 Miata, '03 BP RX7 FC, '00 GS300 Vertex, '93 S14 Q's, '96 240SX(180SX), '99 S15 SpecR, '00 TOMS Chaser,'98 Stagea, '04 HKS S15, and currently working on a '91 S13. I like to drift all sorts of cars. My favorite though is the Sileighty! It's purple! lol

I'll post up some vids when I get one of those PS2/ USB connector thingy's.
But I'm an amature. Sorry for the long intro. Hope to learn more about gt4 drifting!...let alone real drifting!

Hey there my name's Titan. i've been playing the game on and off for about a year and just found this site and registered. I started drifting a couple of months ago and really enjoying it in my Mazda RX-7 Type RZ.

Hi, I'm driftking18594. At the moment my PS2 is getting fixed, so I can't wait for that to happen. I have a Blitz ER34 Skyline, and I have drift settings for it (it's on a piece of paper!) I played for 6 hours straight to get it. I also have the Nissan 350Z race car, I won it in the Fairlady Z championship. My first car was a S13.

But I'll try my best.

My Fav Car is Nissan Skyline (BNR34) GT-R R34

I signed up for gtplanet over 2 years ago, but i just recently used the account. Only today i attempted to connect to online play for GT4, but i failed :(

Anyhow... my background is:

I have played GT since it's beginnings. More especificallly, I am a 10 years veteran. It has been my favorite game since, I have my garage maxed out in all GT games except GT4(550 cars) haahaha each car fully tunned and calibrated to my taste.

As for my drifting background, I have done it since GT2 basically, My favorite drifting physics are GT3, I think GT4 sucks as far as game physics.... However i still can drift decently in GT4...

anyways... Looking forward to be a regular memeber of the community :D

Always drifted in GT3, but just recently began a file in GT4 because after GT4, no more GT's for the PS2 and that's all I got!! So I had been saving it, but I realized there are many other racers for PS2 I can get anyways. Been drifting in a tuner 350Z- forgot what it's called though. So I'll be hangin around the GT4 forums now! -kevin

hey guys i've been gt4'n since it came out. been on here kinda a ghost but plan on being active for a sec (going into basic and tech school on the 13th of Jan...)
GT Background:
i've been playing since the first game. played gt2 for a WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY long time. even on m ps2. never owned 3. but bought 4 the day it came out. i'm new to the 'drift scene' in the game. i was doing some online time attack competitions on the subaru forums... i came in second. one second behind (my choise of car for that was the sileighty,or the jgtc subaru bugeye i think '01). so far i drift i'd say i'm mastering the AWD drift. like in real life i prefer that list of cars (i drive a modded 03 wrx). i'm done with all the races except the company specific ones which i only have france left i think. couple more endurance to go... i forgot about those :(. but as far as the drift, my weapon of choice is a slammed '96 subaru legacy touring wagon, white on green rims :D
anywho. WHAT UP!

threw in a pic of my car i case anyone cares ha ha;)

hi people dont know if anyone drift's on GT4 anymore but i've just started again,i did one thing i thought i wouldnt do the first time round i.e. quit trying.but i had a xbox and a ps2 i thought it was so hard to drift on GT4 i gave up,started on Forza motorsport i played online iam actually well known for drifting on it like you guys have sheron etc..i won alot of battles driven numerous cars,it was a big laugh all for one thing drifting, respect and fun.my tag was S15 Drift Jcs and the team i was associated with was the infamous TEIN and Blackjack.then i got a xbox 360 and did the exact same on there so i basically stuck to the xbox all-in-all for 3 years.but im going back to my routes i started on GT2 so i played and got as far as i could with my drifting on the motorland track mostly, then i popped my gt3 disc in and i watched a few of my replays from 2002 february til 2005 december got the knack for it again and my most recent thing i did was last week,i did alot of things in that game from drifting always low-powered to high-powered and to race type cars and different drivetrains.now im starting all over with gt4 again! all because of the famous snapback i quit but for that i have one person to thank boundary layer for throwing up a user friendly setup and ive actually seen the light with the drifting on the game i have begun to master it just yet its been 5 days :) so thank you boundary layer. jason

Hi there, I'm =drifting24/7=, and as my name suggests, I like drifting. :D

have played GT1 - GT4.., enjoyed playing GT2, have started simulation mode a couple of times, i had fun drifting cars there.., my favorite drift courses are Grindelwald, Apricot Hill Speedway and Motor Sports Land, I even have save replays.., but the time has to come when my PSX gets busted :( .., so I have to wait for a few months before my dad finally agrees on getting a PS2.., once I got it, I began to play GT4.., I have played GT4 on a computer shop, but only for a short time.., after a careful understanding of the physics, I learned how to tune cars.., then, how to drift cars..,

my favorite drift cars are:

- Toyota MR2 G-Limited SW20
- Suzuki Cappuccino EA11R
- Mazda RX-7 Type RZ '92 FD3S

my most hated and despised car of all time is.......you've guessed it:

- Nissan Skyline GT-R R34

if want to know more about how I tune cars, check out my garage (see sig)..,

 to all..,

@ 4dirtywheels - nice Impreza.., 👍

hey guys, my first post!
haha. but i've been into cars, all cars, for about two years now, only a few months ago found out about the awesomeness that is GT. i played GT2 for a few months before i found out my friend had GT4, and since then the past few months have been a blur. i'm getting pretty damn good at drifting, i like sliding around in my RUF the most, but some of you might think it's too easy since it's RR. i have a 96 240sx i drift in too..but not as well. haha. i hope i'll be on these forums for alot longer.

Hi, I'm driftking18594, and I kinda use almost every FR car for drifting. I turn the traction control off and set ASM oversteer to somewhere between 3 and 6.
