Ok, the next person to mention 2-d trees or unrealistic shadows should be instantly BANNED! PD took 6 years to make this game as perfect as possible, and to say that the shadows are somehow unrealistic is like telling your friend he missed a spot while painting the entire Wall of China.

I know it sounded kinda harsh but really. Shadows?

Wow I agree 👍

Sorry for my bluntness, GT supporter. I am a GT supporter too. The shadows are too dark - this is my honest thought. I am a newbie to this site and I haven't read about the shadows. Ban the topic, if you think fit.

This is photo mode, I'm sure the in-game picture is more brighter than this. I don't like the picture with the SLR, and I have to agree that it's a bit dark, but I'm sure it can be adjusted just like in GT Academy TT demo and any GT game since GT4.

Edit: You guys are bit too harsh on him, he's new, give him a break.

Love the new pictures and also the inclusion of the GP course in GT5! Can't wait to drive the Model T Ford around the 24hr course!!!👍

Neeeewwwwwwwsssssss!!!!!! :dopey:

I have to say, those pictures are remarkable. The first picture is especially special. I mean, look at the clouds. Plus this is one of my favorite tracks and have always wanted to drive it. Now, hopefully we get a 16 car grid of f1 cars on this track with Mclaren, Mercedes, Red Bull and of course Ferrari.

Also, isn't there a 24hr race coming up at la Sarthe? Maybe they will do something similar there.👍

Complaining about trees and character models of bystanders in GT is kinda like saying...

"The first thing I noticed about this picture is that there is a guy in it". Seriously come on.

(original photo edited... it was a bit much)

"Wow did you notice the license plate of that car starts with the numbers 401". Seriously come on.

(hope that photo is not too risque)

Dude, she isn't using enough soap... I mean, your telling me that she has been 22 years in development and cannot distribute the proper amount of soap on her body? Geeez...

Um. Yeah. I can see your point - but you're totally missing the "You will not post or link to content that is obscene or sexually oriented." in the AUP. I would probably take it down before anyone sees...

I know right. You would think their soap rendering technology would have advanced after all these years but no. What have KY and PD been doing? Honestly this is simply unacceptable.

Somebody opened the troll gates?

Also i was actually giving the game a complement, i like the Trees, They look nice and add to nurburgrings "Real" setting. A track in a forrest. thats what it's all about.

To be frank, I don't think she is hot or pretty. But, I have to say GT5 is stunning but not perfect. Anyway, I don't need "perfect" GT5 - I just need the release.

You obviously noticed the guy first and seem to know his name as well.

You can find a much better, less compressed pics on PS Blog's Flickr. They're .png files so can't post them here but here are a few slightly reduced sized versions with less compression artifacts:

It was a metaphor. I guess they to must be perfect :sly:. j/k

Also in case you guys are missing it, PD are putting most of the PS3's rendering power to where it counts, the cars. Also until a sim racing game comes out that looks even remotely as realistic as GT5 does, overall, let me know. People are way too hard to please.

damn those pics look way better! There you go, Jpeg compression can suck the life out of pics!

Oh guys, these pics look SO amazing!
I'm so glad I'm leaving for the 24h race in 3h.
I'm gonna check out the GT-Stands in the "altes Fahrerlager", the old paddock for the GT demo.
I so hope they'll show the complete course including the Müllenbachschleife, not the Schleife itself.

SO psyched!

What a morning...

About the pic with McLaren: is there tyre deformation where the wheel is partially over the curb or am I just seeing something that isn't there?

That's clipping, not tyre deformation.

Remember to take some photos to share, pls!

ArE these actual ingame shots or photomode? Or somewhere inbetween. Either way it's nice to get something new and it looks great. Well done PD.

Just what is the carbon fibre vehicle behind the McLaren F1?

IMO the level of detail in the background objects such as the tents appear to be quite high considering that they are exactly that, background objects. Can't wait to see it in motion.

I'll see what I can do.
In the recent years they only had Prologue with the polished GT4 Ring in it.
The Audi TT DTM Car was fun though, because it was on hydraulics, so you got thrown through the corners whilst racing...quite the challenge.
If it's only this old demo I don't think it's worth posting pictures of it.
Yet, if it's this new layout, I'm gonna go berserk on the cam ;)
But I'm not coming home before sunday evening...so be prepared to wait for either me coming back or another guy that'll have internet or come home earlier...

T -100mins :D

Damn, thos pics are incredible!

I didn't read every post on every page just this page and the first 2.. but for those that like to pick at small things and be annoying - let's not point out the trees in the bird's eye view of the track. The trees look fine and you wont notice that as you'll be driving past them quite fast.

But that's great that we've finally got some new news and some cool screen shots plus confirmation of 3 versions of the 'Ring. Looking at that SLS AMG there and it looks fantastic. I can't wait to give that a bash around the GP circuit.
