New Renault Laguna

Its going to be launched this month, is it going to be any good?

You all know what it looks like, so i didn't bother with pictures!

Seriously.. what's with french cars and grilles that look like they have a dinner platter in their mouths?

I rather like the way the car looks inside and out.

Doesn't look half bad. I've always liked Renault and their styling, compared to Peugeot and Citroen. The Peugeot nose takes ugly to a new level , and as for Citroen, their designs are a bit too quirky for my tastes. Although I do like the C6. You could say I'm a bit biased towards Renault.

Its hard to say for certain simply because I do not know much about the car. My guess is that it is a C6 competitor, and as good as the C6 apparently is, I would assume that this "modern" Renault should be able to match it in most cases.

Problem is, looks like they crossed a Saturn Ion Quad Coupe with a Lincoln MKZ and added a bit of Nissan Altima for good measure... Not nearly as elegant or stylish as the C6.

I like the front end design, but the rest of the car seems cribbed from the Mondeo.

Its not really a C6 competitor, its more of a C5 competitor, like the avensis, primera, mondeo etc...

Yeah, it's mid family saloon size, not executive.

It's a safe design that certainly seperates it from the younger designs of the Clio and Twingo, but perhaps not for the better.

Looks wise it's nothing special. Once they release the active suspension version it will probably be by far the best handling car in its class.
