Thanks to all your help ,just completed all three using DS3 .
Fiat tune SHIRAKAWA Akira [TVR Speed 12 ]
Lotus tune RKM's Juliet tune [Ford GT Test car ]
Suby tune AndyT's + tips , but used standard diff . [Team Orica R8 Race car ]
Thanks to all 3 tuners . Ozi

For the Fiat I did not use a tune, just maxed power and lowered weight then balanced it out with ballast and the power limiter.

I used RKM's Juliet tune for the Elise 111R, added ballast to meet the weight requirement and moved it to a 45-55 ratio; then restricted the engine with the power limiter and adjusted the final gear to the max it would go. Still hard but won after about 10 tries including one where I had him but choked the 2nd to last corner, LOL. With this tune it's hard to spin the Elise and you can really chuck it into the corner under the tire. Untuned my best was 4th but I did not try too much because the Elise was so frustrating to drive ... after the tune 2nd was a breeze, finished a lot of races 1 to 1.5 seconds off before finally getting gold.

Have not tried the STi yet ... will use one of these tunes for sure though.

TCS will slow you down.
If you want to use an aid, turn on the driving line and follow it to the T. Don't try to brake late, that slows this car down. If you're within .6 of winning, then I think you can win, just need to make no mistakes, possibly try an alternate tune. Which one are you using right now?

Finally got it! I caught the guy in the last turn and passed him on the outside to win by 1.6 seconds. I ran a low 1:37 opening lap followed by mid to low 1:35 with 1 lone 1:36 flat.

I used my own tune for this event.

What an awesome feeling to win this finally. Now I've gold all the expert races. Each was progressively more challenging for me. I hope we get more Seasonals like this.

For the Subaru, put ride height +50/-25 and it becomes 10 times easier. I won it first try with a high rpm turbo, ecu and racing air filter - no other upgrades to the car. I forgot to change oil so I suppose you could do without the filter.

It worked well with me...

After many tries 1 or 2 seconds back lead, with -20/-20
+50/-25 put me in the lead by 3 seconds.

Sure I had vg laps in a row.

Tough challenge for me, thanks for the tip!

I suggest you don't overcomplicate the tune for the Fiat 500.
I did it with height adjustable suspension (lowered + stiffened) and not the fully customisable item.
Close ration transmission (top speed appeared to be just perfect), clutch, etc. Everything else standard.

Best lap was 2.02.9xx (some lucky draft, I guess). Clean laps were easily in the 2.03s.

Hey all, got a couple quick questions. On this car, I see a lot of people setting the brake force to a higher rear and lower front. Wouldn't you want to do a stronger front and weaker rear (to promote oversteer)?

Also I notice a lot of people are adjusting the diffirential by putting more force on the rear (say 35/65 or 40/60). Why is that? I am confused. Again, I would think you would want more drive on the front to get the car the front to move before the back?

On the weight ballest. I see some people moving the weight, and some people leave the weight in a 0 position. Reasoning?

PHEW! Just finished the series.. SHIRAKAWA Akira's tunes for Fiat and Elise challenges and AndyT's for Subaru. Drove the Subaru challenge with DS3 on my coach. Normally I use Driving Force wheel with seat. Those tunes are awesome! Thanks you guys <3

i found the WRX very understeery into the corners, which annoyed me to bits! But i persisted because i wanted to win the lvl23 ticket.

At first, i had a minimally tuned wrx and wasnt going anywhere quick (36s at best). Then i stripped the weight, stage 2 (mid range) turbo. Also I messed around heaps with LSD, power distribution and some sussy settings as well.

It still didnt turn in how i like but at least i was able to induce oversteer to point the car out of the corner. Ended up averaging low 35s/high 34's for the win.

To me, it was the least enjoyable and most frustrating event out of the 3. Yes the Fiat is slow as, but u just gotta keep your foot flat the the floor. Lotus was sweet fun! Cant remember my times though...

Cheers for the tune posted by AndyT. An whoever helped develop that tune. Just smashed the subaru challenge with a 1:36.5 start lap and then consistent 1:34s.

Cheers fella. Wish I can tune cars like you guys.

Golded the Elise challenge last night. So far my best with the Subie is 5th, and 2nd with the stock Fiat. I'll try some tunes tonight. The Lotus tune in the post on the 1st page (not the first post) really settled down the car.

This is something I dont get either... I mean how many cars do you see running bigger brakes on the rear than on the front in real life? Not many at all. Also when you take inertia into effect under heavy braking, the vehicles weight shifts forward

If all the clamping pressure is on the rear of the vehicle where there is less weight, it would make the car really 'skatey' I'm quite sure.

As for the torque split, quite the opposite, you want you rear wheels providing more of the driving force. By their nature, RWD cars are more inclined to oversteer and FWD cars understeer. Shifting some of the torque more rearward helps negate a bit of the torque steering :)

With the weight, it all depends on the original distribution of the vehicle it is being added to. In the case of the wrx it helps to have it a little rearward, but still in front of the rear axle. Having the weight set too far back would make it far too tail happy I would expect (pendulum effect, the further the weight is toward the end, the more swing it will generate when lateral G's are applied)

Andy t you're a dude! Scubi tune is awsum!! Couldn't get near it then use our tune and smashed it, props dude!

Rear brake bias make the back wheels lock before the front and tone down the understeer. Abs 1 added gives you good turn in while tail braking. Walter Röhrl for example likes his cars with rear brake bias.

Ballsed up the subie challenge, was doing high 1.35s to low 1.36s but everytime i try i have one **** lap in 1.39 that leaves me three secs off lead at finish, lotus challenge was a breeze though with good tune on 1st page so thanks for that

I'm doing these now, hit 1st with my fully modified Lotus, restricted to the bhp and ballasted to the weight, pulled first on the final straight, because I got a bit over confident and started showboating a bit going sideways round corners >_>

Got 3rd with the Impreza which I've just fully modified and going back for another go, and 2nd on the Fiat race, which I'm gonna do the same with as the Impreza soon.

Ford GT Test Car so far are my winnings, I was looking at buying that so I'm happy :P.

I golded all of these, but that Subi handles like CRAP! Took me like 4 tries, and then only barely. I might try a tune for the STi just to make it not so horrid.

So I finished the Elise race yesterday, winning on the second attempt thanks to a tune found here. After trying probably 25 times at the Fiat race, I finally succeeded! A member here posted the tune I based my car on, however I tweaked a few settings until I beat it.

How the hell do you do the Fiat 500 race? I can only get to within 12 seconds :S

I have tried so many times and even using the tunes in this post can only get to within 10secs of first place. Tried the wheel, tried controller=no difference. I have no idea how you guys are beating this. Im not the greatest at this game but have golded most of the liscense tests and golded all the special races but the last one so im a decent GT driver. The elise one, forget about it, nothing tunes that car decent enough to drive.

I've done stupid setups, I've done setups that seem somewhat less crazy, and with manual I can only hit low 2.04's, using a fully modified (no turbo) 500, may as well just stick with second, besides what I got from the 23 ticket was disappointing, a BMW McLaren F1 Racer, so yeah >_>

My elise tune was as follows;
465PP, 195BHP, 759kg

Aero 0/20
Ballast 101kg @ position 0

Engine limit 68.3%

Transmission at 130mph

LSD 10/9/5

Ride height -25/-25
Spring rate 6.5/10.0
D. Extension 7/8
D. Compress 6/5
A.R. Bars 3/3
Camber 1.3/1.5
Toe -0.10/-0.15

Brakes 5/6

Fully modify this girl, full weight reduction, power, etc; limit it down and add the ballast. I used a low RPM turbo, little difference between the turbo's though, but I'd recommend lower because of the track personally, although if you feel it going sideways on you, ditch the turbo altogether and just go with less limitation on the engine. You could try ASM although it really can hinder you, you're better just mastering throttle control on the car really. Oh, and I don't know if it helps, but it I did better when it was yellow :P.

Try not to brake too much in the Fiat. And go to the practice track - the ghost replays are a really good way of working out the fastest line through a corner.

I completed the Fiat last week, Elise over the weekend, and Subaru last night. These are awesome events, so hard, I've never looked at brake points as much as I was around Laguna Seca. That Subi took a lot of dialling in and getting used to, I had a mix of a couple of tunes, but gradually it came to me. Such a relief to cross in first, I think by about 2/10ths for that and the elise..

Got the Fiat event on the 3rd try, and it was bone stock (oil change I think). You must keep your momentum up, as the car has no power - try braking earlier and getting on the throttle sooner - some corners you don't need to brake, you can just toss it in and have it bleed off the speed that way. I don't remember my laptimes, but I had 3-4 seconds on the second place Bob by the end of the race.

The Elise event was easy, I thought (that car suits the way I drive) - the Subie event was the one I had issues with, and had to significantly mod the car to win - just understeers to much when stock.

Thanks to the tunes in here I managed to gold them all with a DS3 and I'm a pretty average driver.

Used JG's Fiat, SHIRAKAWA Akira's Elise and AndyT's Impreza - thanks guys!

Now to learn how to do my own...

The first to get gold is was the Ellise for me, then the Sti which took less tries to do. The Fiat 500 eludes me to no end :-(

This is my Elise 111R setup for the Expert Seasonal Event (did it at last):

Thanks, man! Worked just fine for me. I was kind of struggling in this race, and won in the first time with this setup. About 2 laps to get used to the car handling, and the other 3 laps to pass the guys I hadn't passed yet. Got first place at the end of the last straight (just before the last turn). Could have been easier if I tried again (second try, now used to the new handling), but WTF, it's done already.

Using the DS controller, BTW. That win granted me a Corvette C5-R, seems like a pretty decent car.

I have won the FIAT 500 already, using my own setup. Took me a few tries, and cutting on the grass in the last corner (I am not good for setting up, might have been easier with a good setup).

Hadn't installed the spoiler on the Subaru yet, will try that now. But this isn't seeming that difficult, I've done a few (3-4 tries) and the best I got was getting 6s behind the first, but I didn't manage perfect driving, felt like I could get much closer. With the spoiler and a slightly better setup I am expecting it to be easy. Let's see.
