So I guess Chad Johnson was spotted at around 5:30 am on Black Friday at Best Buy picking up a toaster for ol' coach Marvin Lewis...what a nut.

Who else enjoys seeing Shannon Sharpe and Bill Cowher repeatedly rape the English language week in and week out? They're bad.

Shannon Sharpe brings to the table the "black guy with deep voice" character.

But, yeah, they're really bad.

What y'all think about Plexico shooting himself in the thigh at a club?

Irrelevant for success. Giants have put up big numbers with out him.

Not to mention they're up 23-7 on the 'Skins right now. 11-1 baby!

Game over. 23-7, 11-1.

Bad time or WORST time for that INT? Poor Packers.

Dolphins in that ass ftw. Andre Goodman is a rockstar.

Matt Cassel is the gatekeeper.

Gonna finish top-5 in QB Rating and yards.

Trade Brady.

:) Certainly gonna be an interesting off-season for the Pats, Cassel has improved way too much to go unnoticed now.

St. Louis had a chance, but the Miami Dolphins took care of business in St. Louis. A good deep pass by Marc Bulger ended up being picked off by a Dolphin.

Tonight's match is Chicago at Minnesota in this NFL rivalry. Then tomorrow night, the first Monday Night game for the Houston Texans as they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. And people saying that Houston's favored over Jacksonville, but I'm not so sure. Jack del Rio and his boys are ready to play tomorrow night even with injuries. I doubt we're going to win. And probably doubt even more that the Texans will win. The "Always Hate Houston" ESPN deal will probably come about as well. If anything, Steve Slaton and Andre Johnson are are strongest threats against Jacksonville. This will also be a chance for Mario Williams to make his case known to all whom thought that he wasn't deserving of #1 overall. Super Mario will need to handle his business and put the Jacksonville QB on his rear.

Hope your favorite team won while your least favorite team lost.

What about my guy Matt Ryan,looks like a savvy veteran. M Turner another solid game. 3 turnovers 2 bad fumble calls & a big road win, Mayby they can get a playoff spot.:dopey:

Huge win for the Steelers today, it's not often that they beat the Patriots so handily, one of our traditional demons. Oh yeah, James Harrison for defensive MVP, another sack with a forced fumble today. That's 13 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and a pick to boot.

That Browns-Colts game earlier today was brutal to watch, what a bore.

I'm watching "Houston Texans: Inside the Game." That's our Sunday night show highlighting on the Texans. An interview between Bob Allen (Eyewitness Sports director here for our ABC affiliate, Channel 13 KTRH) and the tandem of Mike Tirico and Ron Jawroski(?) making their comments about the Texans. Sometimes I'm too critical of ESPN because I've seen Houston teams lose commonly on ESPN and ABC. Also that I continually see Texans highlights of them getting beat on plays and in games.

But their perspective on this experience was rather passionate. Jaws was talking about how Andre Johnson is the best WR in the National Football League, and not many people know of him. Mike Tirico talked of the deal regarding Mario Williams and how he wasn't picked over guys like Vince Young or Reggie Bush. The thing I take away from this interview was that not many people care about the Texans because they don't know them that much. They don't know what we're really capable of. It's why I say that our wins over three winless teams (at the time, of course Detroit is still winless) shows that we're not as sorry as most people think we are. Somewhat talented teams beat sorry teams... or at least they should. I know the Texans aren't an AFC South threat or even a playoff contender. But this is a much better team than what most people say about them. I just hope the Texans can WIN and not fall on their faces on national TV. If they want to make a statement, it's here and now for Monday night. They have GOT to show what they're capable of. This is their best chance, so they can't lose 35-10 getting picked off six times.

They got to play like they want this. They aren't going to the playoffs. They got nothing to lose. Just go kick some ass, man! Texas (Texans) style!

Well, i have to say it. Even though on thanksgiving we totally got blown out of the water....... We lost by the fewest amount of points out of all the games that day. So we don't suck as bad as other teams.

And i have a friend whose a Rams fan, and he is always saying how the rams beat Dallas and Denver and such, but then i tell him that we still beat the rams, and it shuts him up nice.

So the Dolphins are in the hunt. Here's to the rest of the AFC East losing every game for the rest of this season. :)

Well, I was actually surprised. Texans got her done 30-17 in their MNF debut. I just wished they'd probably hold down Jacksonville more despite their late meaningless touchdowns. We improve to 5-7. We'll need some cold weather stuff in our next game heading up to Green Bay.

ESPN finds some kind of way to downplay anything Houston. Tony Kornheiser was talking about how the red outfits make us look like "ketchup bottles." If you want to keep attacking Houston in some sort of way, then G:censored:damn it, don't f:censored: talk about my hometown's teams. I didn't even hear this game mentioned on PTI today. They usually talk about the Monday Night game, but probably since it was two 4-7 teams, who cared (to some people)? Nevermind the fact that we played our first Monday Night. Nevermind that we didn't fall on our face or trail at any point last night. Seems like no one outside of Houston gives us ANY credit. Yet (and I've stated this before) teams worse than us get some TV time. We're not good, but we're not sorry. When will some people f:censored:ing get over this? I'm sorry... we're not a great team, but we're not as bad as most people make it out to be. Just get tired of no love. This Monday Night game was a chance for us to really show what we're made of. If this was a nationally-televised game against a much better team (let's pretend Jacksonville was leading the AFC South), and if we won, then we would probably get some love for once. We're still the expansion Texans to many people...

I haven't downplayed this win any bit. It was a chance for Steve Slaton to show off what he could do in the NFL apart from his lovely days wearing the lovely blue and gold of West Virginia University. I was excited that we got Steve Slaton and that he's being utilized on offense. He's basically my go-to guy for the Texans' running game. Your deep threat is Andre Johnson. And on defense, Mario Williams picked up three sacks on the night. It was an overall great performance by the Texans. If only we could pull games like this out every time we played...

What I was surprised about last night was just how the Jaguars were playing at Reliant Stadium on our Battle Red night. They just seemed sloppy. Un-Jaguar-like. It even reminds me of Jacksonville shanking some field goal kicks. I still thought that the Texans couldn't beat the Jaguars even on Jacksonville's best day or on the Texans' worst day. A win is still a win. Up next... we're going to Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and company.

Tony Kornheiser needs to be fired. He's such a cynical asshole.

He had to throw in a Dallas Cowboys reference. He talked about how our Andre Johnson isn't a diva... unlike Terrell Owens. Kornheiser is good on PTI, but not with Monday Night Football. He does provide some comedic value, but don't trust him to talk about guarding a Cover 2 defense or having pocket presence. Who would you put in his place? Or would it just be Mike Tirico and Jaws?

On a different note, what do you all make of the Plaxico Burress deal?

Dont have enough info to know yet,in any event it is certianly a strange deal & a sad episode when these young,wealthy,& famous people allow themselves to be in that situation. As for the Giants they wont skip a beat looks as though there still 2 touch downs better than any other NFC team.

If it were up to me, I'd replace Tony K with Jimmy Cefalo.

As for Plaxico, it's a shame he doesn't know how to handle a gun.

You know, I will say this about the Monday Night commentary as well as all the hype leading up to my Texans' first Monday Night game. Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski were class acts. Very detailed, knew how to sell this game, offered up great commentary all game long. They did an amazing job in my view. They could have had Kansas City at Detroit and still be able to sell the game well. Everything was amazing. I was really happy as a native Houstonian to be able to see a wonderful football game. I'm still latched on to how Mike and Jaws talked about this game in an interview here in Houston. Talking about how we have players many people haven't seen in action. I have more respect for these two guys than I've ever had. I haven't heard too much along the lines of "Houston [Texans]'s first Monday Night game." It was mostly about Jacksonville on the road. Otherwise, this was a great experience to see Monday Night football. So what if we had losing records? At least we put on a show and didn't fall on our faces.

A lot of your favorite teams (assuming the Texans aren't your favorite) may get Monday Night games, but this was big so where we could actually showcase our team being the only game on TV for a Monday Night. Otherwise, I just watch some wrestling or whatever else I like on TV for a Monday night. Last year, we had a Thursday night game on the NFL Network hosting Denver. Only network that seems to give us some credit is CBS. They aren't known for East Coast bias like ESPN. Hope we get to play more on Monday night. But before all of that, I think we need to improve all around and really become a true contender. Most of the pieces are there... we just need a few more great players as well as some great chemistry. Then we can maybe compete for at least the AFC South or even the AFC Wild Card.

I'd support [wikipedia]Jim Mandich[/wikipedia], but he will call it how he sees it (no hesitation in calling a spade a spade); thus, he'd be yanked from the set by halftime.

Tony K adds nothing to the booth, but usually three's a crowd when calling any sporting event, unless he's permanently down by the sidelines or the pits.

Omnis
As for Plaxico, it's a shame he doesn't know how to handle a gun.

There's so much wrong with the situation, that it's absurd.

What's the point of a sentence when you've only accidentally shot yourself? Obviously, he's going suffer from his actions, and he's an idiot for going to a club when injured. I'm not going to debate the gun laws in this forum, but for Plaxico, gun control means using both hands and how to use a safety switch.

The rumor is, he's off the team after XLIII is over, but that will depend on how far the Giants go, so the organization is going to marginalize this as best they can. Heck, it might be a darn good distraction from teams studying their tape...

He screwed up my fantasy team with this.

I say no punishment is strong enough for doing that to me in a league where I am past the waiver/trade deadline and getting ready for the playoffs.

If the Detroit Lions end up going winless, they'll be the second coming of the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Remaining DETROIT games:

* 12/7 - Minnesota
* 12/14 - at Indianapolis
* 12/21 - New Orleans
* 12/28 - at Green Bay

Of all of these, put theses games in order from most likely to win to least likely to win. This would be my order:

New Orleans, Minnesota, Green Bay, Indianapolis

That's not to say they WILL win, but more like "what games COULD they win?"

Well they beat Minn last time they were 0-12. Who knows. I can tell you from first-hand experience that it's terrible to have to worry about your team going winless. I hope the Lions pull off a win somehow.

They're not going to win. 0-16, baby. Maybe that will cause some serious, serious changes to be made in that club.

Ravens vs. 'Skins sunday. PRIME-TIME... oh crap, we don't do well in primetime. Oh well.

Ravens in a blowout... 27-9. Heard it here first, kids.
