Here's what I'm lovin'...the Steelers already hold Super Bowl best record, will play in their 8th Super Bowl, tying Dallas for most appearances, but with a better record than Dallas, and they are playing IN DALLAS while the Cowboys watch from home!

Some Super Bowl stats.

Jets defense is getting embarrassed. Steelers already at 100yds rushing. Something like 275yds offense in the 1st half.

Man, the Chicago media and fans are crucifying Cutler. Even ex-players and current players are calling him out. "If you have a knee injury, why are you standing and walking around on the sidelines?". "Why didn't he have his knee iced?", Maurice Jones Drew tweeted, "I played the entire 2nd half of the season with a torn ligament in my knee, and you can't play a half of a game, the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP game?"

Brutal.

I liked the call. His passes were clearly off target because his form was screwed up. If he's stinking up the joint because of an injury, I love the call to get someone else in before it's a lost cause.

Jay Cutler sucks. His blood sugar must get too low or something.

How do you stop Ben Roethlisberger from raping people? Knee him in the thigh.

You can break his nose, you can fracture his ankle, you can knee him in the thigh, you can run him over on his motorcycle with your car, you can shoot him in the foot and I'll hold him for you, (few will get that one ;)), but it still hasn't stopped him from raping opposing defenses.

Don't think he raped anybody off the field.

They're playing in Dallas because Pittsburg is a dump. Tell your boys to try not to stain the new carpet while they're there. :) We've got pest control coming in after they leave. :sly:

Video evidence to the contrary.

No, no...sorry, but the only evidence shown is a tackle by what appears to be a little old lady in a Roethlisberger uniform...can't see what happens in the box.

It's "Pittsburgh", and I'm sure the new carpet has not seen any blood on it given the resident team, but we'll fix that for you. By the way, I've lived in Pittsburgh and lived in Texas, and I much prefer Pittsburgh even with the harsh winters (which most of us know is the real reason that Super Bowls are held in comfy weather spots for the pansy teams that make it).

What part of Texas? There are parts of Texas that are worse than Pittsburgh (I have experience with both), but Dallas is not one of them (neither is Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Houston, or Corpus Christi). Sierra Blanca though.... that's worse for sure. Also Lubbock and El Paso.

Yeah, I've been to El Paso... far enough in that I could see Mexico out of my car window. Not exactly the best place, glad I was only there for a day. Got some pretty bad service at a Pizza Hut there, too

Weather sucks, yeah, but I've never met people friendlier than those from around the Pittsburgh area. Low crime, decent job market, affordable housing, excellent universities, etc. I've only spent a week in Dallas, but I'd choose Pittsburgh based on my limited experience. Of course, there are places in/outside of this country, that I'd rather live in than here, but I feel like we have a pretty nice city that gets a bad rep.

From the time I've spent there, I have to say that Texans are friendlier. My experience with Texans is that they are friendlier than folks from any other state - especially the northeast. Definitely friendlier than California (people here suck).

The weather is also better in Texas, the roads are in better condition (with better city planning), the state is better run, the cities are more attractive, and the football fans have a much healthier relationship with their teams. You guys in Pennsylvania are downright abusive.

Roads are awful here, no doubt about it. I'll take our windy, hilly roads any day though, just more fun to drive on. I will admit though that it's a lot easier to speed on Texas freeways. First, due to the better road condition, and second because it's so damn flat that you can see forever and keep an eye out for police(don't usually speed, but I was late for a flight lol). I did notice that in Texas/Oklahoma, people drive much slower than they do around here.

I'd like to think people are a lot warmer here than most of the northeast. Philadelphia is downright brutal in my experience, and New England isn't much better. Life seems a bit slower here to me than it does in most of the northeast. I suppose the niceness of people is kind of subjective, and I will admit that people I met in Texas/Oklahoma(my only real experience in the southwest) were generally very friendly too.

Horrible state govt, no argument there. I wish our state govt would borrow some ideas from Texas. Better finances may lead to better roads too, solving another problem.👍

Still, it's a small city with all of the luxaries of a big city. Three (if the pirates count) pro sports teams, good college sports, great schools, nice cultural scene, good nightlife...etc. I'm sure Dallas and most big cities boast the same in that regard, but it's cheap to live here, job market is stable, and traffic is almost nonexistant! Plus I love winter sports.

But yeah, I grew up here, went to college here, and now work here, of course I love it.

Definitely won't be spending my whole life here though, there's a lot of the world I have to see still.

I think Texans are just as loyal to their home as we are here, if not more. My good friend from Austin is that way, anyway.

oh yeah on topic GO STEELERS!!!!!!

Nice Max. I was thinking of posting pretty much the same thing, but about Texas. It's all relative. Some positive some negative everywhere.

Soooo, this damn CBA nonsense is bumming me out. The NFLPA President is talking tough, but when you hear the actual players talk, they just want to play. They don't want a lock-out, they don't even know what everyones fighting about. Really no one does, for sure. From what I've read, its more about the power positioning for the next CBA. With the ecomonic climate, whatever is agreed to won't be for very long because no one wants to commit to something long term under these current conditions.

All I know is, it's messing up any manuvering teams can do until its set. I don't believe anything spoken by either side right now. So I don't think anyone will really know the truth.

Agreed. Guess you can't put it in a box, just personal preferences. Timing too, 1960s Pittsburgh vs. current day Pittsburgh is literally like night vs. day. I was in San Antonio in the late 70s, and Austin in mid 80s. There were some nice parts, but I tended to travel the outer brush country (Round Rock, San Marcos, Smithville, Killeen), didn't seem very pretty to me. But coming from the scenic mountain foothills of the Latrobe area east of Pittsburgh, to me it doesn't compare.

I just hope they don't go to 18 games. There really is no need for 2 more games and will just make them that much more meaningless.

Also sounding more and more like the Vikes could be leaving Minnesota as the legislature isn't budging on the stadium issue. I'm actually hoping they leave as they aren't willing to pay more than 1/3 the cost.

Jeff Fisher = gone from the Titans. Does that mean VY stays now? Technically he's still on the team. Weird.

Wish Fisher would have been axed earlier, perhaps Jerruh could have made him a deal to coach the Cowboys. From what I've read Jones has always had Jeff Fisher high up on the list of potential Head Coaches.

Pro Bowl later today!

It's AFC vs. NFC in this All-Star game. Who you got- the NFC boys or the AFC boys? Of course, I'm rooting for the AFC because of the Texan Pro Bowlers who'll be in this game.

I'm sorely disappointed that the Hawks Special Teams members didn't make it. Throughout the good, the bad and the ugly this season, our special teams always remained the highlight. Needless to say, go NFC.

I'm rooting for the NFC team. I am hoping that the Redskins 3 pro-bowlers, CB Deangelo Hall, MLB London Fletcher, and the all-mighty Brian Orakpo make a statement after destroying the AFC's offense and make all Redskins fans proud. Hail to the Redskins! Superbowl in the next 10 years.

WTF are these guys doing? The Pro Bowl is a sham. Cam Wake isn't even allowed play in his position.

First I heard the Packers were favored but today someone told me the Steelers are...which is it and what is the spread?

Green Bay favored with 2.5 spread. It should be a really great game. Too bad Pouncey got injured... spread would likely be even closer.

Well, today's the big day. Best of luck to both Green Bay and Pittsburgh. Put on one hell of a show and battle hard. To the winner goes the Lombardi Trophy and the honor of being the league's champion. Good luck, boys!

The Redskins are going to... Dang, I was just dreaming :(, I'm not going to watch the game, but the Packers are going to win. Redskins, if they draft Cam Newton, will be in the Superbowl within the next 6-8 years.
