James Harrison is a lunk-headed asshole. He should be thrown out of the game. It's not like he's 6'7 and can't bend down enough to not take off people's heads.

BTW, did any of you guys know that with around 2:00 to go in the Seattle v. Eagles game last week one of the Eagles viciously threw our star left tackle Russel Okung to the ground after a whistle and never got a penalty called for it? I heard a couple days later he got fined by the league, but seriously?... I swear the refs are blind.

Yeah it was Trent Cole. He only got fined 7500 for a late hit which ended someones season, but Stefan Logan of the Lions got fined 7500 for tossing the ball to a Saints player after the whistle. Brandon Pettigrew of Lions got fined 25000 for pushing a ref, which wasnt really a push and Pettigrew probably thought he was a Saints player. They all should have gotten fined but the league needs to be more consistent with their fines. The most severe penalties should get the highest fine, not the other way around.

The weekend of NFL action continues with a handful of games, including tonight's game between the New York Giants at the Dallas Cowboys. My Texans are at Cincinnati today. The Titans are at the New Orleans Saints. Word has it that we COULD clinch the AFC South if we (Texans) beat the Bengals and if the Titans lose at the Saints.

Enjoy your NFL football and feel free to talk about what's going with your team(s) today/tonight.

Recap of the early games thus far:

Baltimore (10-3) takes care of Indianapolis (0-13): 24-10

New England (10-3) prevails in a shootout? over Washington (4-9): 34-27

New York (A) (8-5) pounds Kansas City (4-8): 37-10

Houston (10-3) gets a game winning TD with 2 seconds left to stun Cincinnati (7-6): 20-19 Houston has clinched a playoff spot.

Jacksonville (4-9) scores 41 unanswered to crush a deflated Tampa Bay (4-9): 41-14

Atlanta (8-5) was down, but not out, scoring 24 unanswered to cut down Carolina (4-9): 31-23.

Detroit (8-5) wins but almost blows a 21-0 lead against Minnesota (2-11): 34-28

New Orleans (10-3) scores on two Brees TD in the 4th Quarter to take care of Tennessee (7-6): 22-17. New Orleans has clinched a playoff spot.

Hot damn! We pulled one out in Cincy as the Texans won 20-19 on a late touchdown with two seconds left in the game. The Texans were treading through mud through most of the game. T.J. Yates got sacked five times and has even been picked off. Perseverance and persistance paid off for the Texans. T.J. Yates' parents were at the game sitting WAY up top. I was proud for T.J. Yates (as a Texans fan should be) as he cashed in that clutch game-tying TD pass. Then afterwards, we hit a non-automatic Extra Point for the Texans. Seven-straight wins is a new team record for the Texans. Oh, happy day!

I waited to post this because we still need the Titans to lose to New Orleans. And... they did! The Texans win the AFC South and are going to the playoffs.

How you all doing with your team(s)?

Congratulate your team for me. They helped my team take control of their own destiny in the AFC Wild Card race.

One missed early game

Philadelphia (5-8) manages to win a game with the Dream Team finally fully assembled (or one would say), knocking off Miami (4-9): 26-10.

And the late games:

Arizona (6-7) stays alive in the Wild Card Race, coming back to score 14 unanswered to stun San Francisco (10-3): 21-19

San Diego (6-7) is still alive as of right now as they crush Buffalo (5-8): 37-10

Denver (8-5) whether it be from Tebow or from the opponents collapsing, win on 13 points in the final 10 minutes (of 4th qtr. + OT) and beat Chicago (7-6): 13-10 OT

And now its down to New England to play the bad guys and beat Tebow.

It's going to be interesting with New England's good offense vs Bronco's good defense and seeing how Tebow does against the Pats terrible defense.

But the Pats have a somewhat decent front line. I wonder how many hits Tebow could take from those guys and then if they hit him too hard how long before possible angry letters get sent to the Pats.

Only two games left this week.

Green Bay (13-0) destroys Oakland (7-6): 46-16

I'm a die hard Steeler fan and will almost never criticise the Steelers. But here I must say, Harrison needs to change his ways. It's not coincidence that a line in a song about the Steelers goes:
And Mike Tomlin
Helped bury the bodies
James Harrison left behind

Of course, we hate Goodell here.

I was impressed with the Redskins today. Getting 27 points on even the worst defense is a big day for our offense. Our defense almost kept us in the game until the Pats game winning touchdown in the 3rd Quarter. And the Bears got Tebowed!

In the final game of the weekend (since tomorrow isn't the weekend nor will it really be much of a game, no disrespect to Seattle or St. Louis fans).

New York (N) (7-6) puts an ice block in front of Dallas (7-6): 37-34.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I picked the Giants to win so :p, but what a great finish to a great game.

49ers lost in an upset, but it hardly matters since the division is already on the line. As long as the 49ers keep even with New Orleans then a first round BYE is a lock.

Told you San Fran would lose. They already clinched so they're worried about playoffs.

Anyway, congrats to the Texans for their first ever playoff berth. I was a TJ Yates fan during his draft and thought he would be one of the better later-round QBs. Hopefully he takes advantage of his opportunity and pulls off a great playoff performance.

And the Broncos kicker is LEGIT.

Are we all pumped up for one of the worst Monday night games in a long time? Although I believe the Seahawks are still mathematically eligible for the playoffs... They shouldn't be but they are.

Kicker Matt Prater.

I feel that when Schaub returns next season from injury that Yates should still start.

Brandstater and the Rams against the Seahawks. Sound's like a punt fest.
