Any teams want Terrell Owens? He's been released by the Cowboys. What team's willing to take a chance and put up with his antics?

Dolphins better not pick him up. I don't think any team has the cap room or crap room to deal with him. I'd rather he retire.

But hell... you know he's not going to retire. I'd hate to even imagine him trying on coaching in the NFL or college.

And the Rams are releasing Torry Holt and Orlando Pace. That's crazy.

Anyway, I think Jeff Garcia needs to go to the Lions. Maybe Pace too. Who knows. T.O. on the Jets or Buffalo would be interesting. I'd prefer if he stayed in the NFC though.

Money. They have to afford more talent to fill in their weak spots. This likely means that I will get to see my fellow alum, Keenan Burton, receive some passes, assuming they keep him around after barely using him last year.

John Madden, 73 years old, has officially retired. How will you remember John Madden?

As long as EA has an NFL license we will never be without John Madden. Honestly, most on here are too young to remember him as any more than a commentator.

However, due to my dad I still think of him like this:

John Madden will be remembered for Turducken.

And, wow, Cutler is going to have a great time in Chi-town with Pace on his blindside.

Will somebody explain to me the concept of the Kansas City Chiefs without Tony Gonzalez?

I'm a fairly intelligent man, yet I cannot grasp this concept. Please help me... :nervous:

We got JT back on the Dolphins for a year. Now he can help Cam Wake and then retire as a Dolphin. Yay.

My Texans have begun (or will begin) their OTA's (organized team activities, I believe). After back-to-back 8-8 seasons, I'd like to hope the Texans can acheive a winning season. And also, hopefully, they can get the east coast people to stop looking at us as the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NFL.

This just in... Jon Gruden will join ESPN's Monday Night Football announce team. I believe he'll replace Tony Kornheiser. I like Mr. Kornheiser on PTI (which I'm watching right now), but he can be a bit cynical (perhaps mildly speaking) on the set. Like how he said my Texans' Battle Red outfits make us "look like ketchup bottles."

You like the tandem of Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski (Jaws), and Jon Gruden?

OH MY GOD, THANK YOU! Anyone is better than Tony Kornhole.

I think the AFC East is going to be VERY interesting to follow even as Dolphins fans have been saying "the AFC East title goes through Miami." Pretty sure the boys in MIA are going to bring their A-game to every game this season.

Let's talk about Most Improved Teams. Something tells me the Texans will finally have their first proper winning season in team history. The longshot would be the AFC Wild Card, and an even longer shot would be winning the AFC South. Who all do you think will be the most improved teams this coming season? Or at least, potential most improved teams?

I think everyone will remember McNair as 'One yard short'.

To bad, too. Considering many referred to him as "Air McNair." It's to bad someone with that much talent had many injuries at the end of his career, and then to have this happen. Tragic, Rest In Piece Steve.

I know he was a Titan for most of his career, but I'll still remember McNair as the guy who resurrected the Ravens from total mediocrity three years ago when he led us to a 13-3 season. What a shame, only 36.

The dolphins are going to be sick this year.

You know, Omnis, you're one of the only people online who actually give my Texans a chance. Now to me, I think the Dolphins can contend. That's even if for the AFC Wild Card. The Patriots and Jets will be bigtime opposition in the AFC East. Buffalo can be a wild card for AFC East contention.

Now here is my Texans' schedule:

Texans Preseason:
* 8/15: at Kansas City 8:00 pm
* 8/22: New Orleans 8:00 pm
* 8/31: Minnesota 8:00 pm
* 9/4: at Tampa Bay 7:00 pm

Texans' Regular Season:
* 9/13: NY Jets 1:00 pm
* 9/20: at Tennessee 1:00 pm
* 9/27: Jacksonville 1:00 pm
* 10/4: Oakland 1:00 pm
* 10/11: at Arizona 4:15 pm
* 10/18: at Cincinnati 1:00 pm
* 10/25: San Francisco 1:00 pm
* 11/1: at Buffalo 1:00 pm
* 11/8: at Indianapolis 1:00 pm
* bye
* 11/23: Tennessee 8:30 pm <<< Monday Night Football!
* 11/29: Indianapolis 1:00 pm
* 12/6: at Jacksonville 1:00 pm
* 12/13: Seattle 1:00 pm
* 12/20: at St. Louis 1:00 pm
* 12/27: at Miami 1:00 pm
* 1/3: New England 1:00 pm

While I'm convinced we have a team to contend with next season, I'm not truly convinced we'll have a team to win at least the AFC Wild Card. An AFC South championship just ISN'T happening with my Texans. Everybody else is going to have to screw up while we have to keep winning to stand ANY chance of winning the AFC South.

Actually, I think the Texans can make the playoffs. If you guys play every week like you play against the Dolphins (we still haven't managed to beat you guys), it's a definite possibility. However, we're going to have to steamroll you guys unless we're lucky enough to have our division wrapped up by then.

All I know is I can't wait for everyone to get in pads. Our draft picks are looking awesome so far, but I want darn training camp to start already.

I had a chance to study the schedule. Going to Tennessee and Indianapolis concern me greatly. The Texans even get a chance to play at St. Louis, so there will be a battle between my Texans at FoolKiller's Rams. The game at Arizona is interesting to me, same goes for the match at Buffalo. I'm a bit uneasy about the season finale when we're hosting the Patriots on January 3, 2010. Something tells me we'll probably be playing against a bunch of second string players if New England locks up the AFC East (but the AFC East title goes through Miami, right?). Really, our last two games of this upcoming season will be against AFC East contenders. At Miami and hosting New England to close out this season.

Using Yahoo! Sports, here's Miami's schedule for this coming season:

Dolphins' Preseason:
* 8/17 Jacksonville 7:30 pm
* 8/22 Carolina 7:30 pm
* 8/27 at Tampa Bay 8:00 pm
* 9/3 at New Orleans 8:00 pm

Dolphins' Regular Season:
* 9/13 at Atlanta 1:00 pm
* 9/21 Indianapolis 8:30 pm <<< Monday Night Football
* 9/27 at San Diego 4:15 pm
* 10/4 Buffalo 4:05 pm
* 10/12 NY Jets 8:30 pm Buy Tickets <<< Monday Night Football
(off week next week)
* 10/25 New Orleans 4:15 pm
* 11/1 at NY Jets 1:00 pm
* 11/08 at New England 1:00 pm
* 11/15 Tampa Bay 1:00 pm
* 11/19 at Carolina 8:20 pm <<< Thursday Night
* 11/29 at Buffalo 1:00 pm
* 12/6 New England 8:20 pm
* 12/13 at Jacksonville 1:00 pm
* 12/20 at Tennessee 1:00 pm
* 12/27 Houston 1:00 pm
* 1/3 Pittsburgh 1:00 pm

What (if anything) concerns you about the Dolphins this coming season, Omnis? I may do a few more team previews on here.

We don't have a lot of depth on our lines. It is critical that our O-line and NT stay healthy. ILB depth is also a concern. And Ronnie Brown needs to make sure he has a ballin' season. Talking heads try to knock our receiving corps, but they're all good enough to get the job done and then some, and Pennington is so accurate that we don't need a super stud hands guy. Although it looks like we drafted one in Patrick Turner.

But like I said, they need to get in pads. Everything can change when in pads.

Look out guys: Brett Favre may come out of retirment...again.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4350876&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines

With Minnesota Vikings players scheduled to report to training camp in less than a week, Brett Favre remains anguished about whether he should come out of retirement and join the team. That decision, according to sources, has become more difficult in recent days because of the efforts of Vikings players including Adrian Peterson, Jared Allen and Steve Hutchinson, all of whom have now begun calling and texting Favre in an attempt to convince him to become Minnesota's starting quarterback.

"If it weren't for the involvement of the Vikings players directly telling Brett they want him on their team, I think he might have already decided against playing again,'' a source said.

So, this year it is peer pressure.

Sorry Brett, but you are not getting on to my fantasy football team again.

Michael Vick could return for Week 6 of the NFL now that he's really reinstated. Where do you think Mi. Vick (to avoid confusion with Marcus Vick) could end up if he did play for a team?
