Let me just say this quickly (because I haven't seen any of the other posts)... as soon as New Orleans picked off Peyton Manning, it was pretty much over. I picked the Colts, but this game really could have gone either way. It just seemed like the Saints took the wind out of Indy's sails starting with that Onside Kick. It takes some balls to do that and recover. Both teams wanted and played to win, but it just seemed like the Colts were trying to drive out of being stuck in the mud. Congratulations to the Saints (as well as the Colts) on a job well done.

Who dat?

Now that the season is over, why don't we take a look back? This is where I ask for your winners and losers.

My Winners.
My winners are no doubt the New Orleans Saints. I'm also calling Indianapolis and Minnesota as winners.

My Houston Texans are winners as they finished with their first-ever winning record at 9-7. I can only hope for a playoff berth in their future. But playing in the AFC South, that's near impossible. I really feel that my Texans could have been in a much better place than where they've ended up. I think they went from 5-3 to a losing effort. We could have been locked into the playoffs (or at least have a chance at tying) had we connected kicks. Most of which, therefore...

My Losers.
Kris Brown. Yeah, he's a kicker, but when "play to win" is the way to prove your worth and you don't deliver on that front, you're going to be a loser. I guess the struggling economy got to Kris "Money" Brown as he went bankrupt on possible winning or tying kicks.

The Tampa Bay Bucs are surely losers. It was a rough ride for the St. Louis Rams as well, including that ugly game my Texans had at St. Louis. Oakland Raiders... nuff said. Also on my loser list... the Cincinnati Bengals. Nice epic fail at the New York Jets! Now for a losers of a different kind... the biggest losers of all are the lives of NFL players whom we've lost this past season. Most notable was Chris Henry's passing. Dude was my age and probably had a long career ahead of him. Very sad loss.

The one thing I'd always fear is if Kris Brown (if he's traded) would end up being a playoff hero if he went to a different team. Who are your winners and losers from this past season?

You appear to have missed the onside kick to start the second half, a gutsy trick play, which has never been attempted in a Super Bowl before.

That was one of the two plays :D

Ah, the onside kick was a team play, rather than an individual bit of brilliance.

Winners:
Falcons to the winners list because they finally got their first 2 consecutive win seasons. The Raiders make their way to the winners list because they finally benched the draft bust Jamarcus Russell and the only teams they beat were All-Pro ,but they crack to solid and less than teams. The Texan's Matt Schaub make his way to my list because he got the highest passing yards and he started 2nd String behind Michael Vick 3 years back.

Fail List: No explanation needed.
Terrell Owens
Jay Cutler
Bucs and Rams
L.T.
Brandon Jacobs
Troy Polamalu(Madden Curse??)
Jake Delhomme
Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn
Kerry Collins
John Abraham
Gibril Wilson
Joey Porter
Albert Haynesworth
Joey Galloway
Jamarcus Russell

Add to it if you like.
I'll leave it at that.

Add Joey Porter and Gibril Wilson to your list and take off Matt Cassel. How can you expect Matt Cassel to save the Chiefs?

Rumor has LT signing with the Texans. I would post the link but ESPN is extremely greedy and makes you pay to read an article. This would be a good signing for my 2nd team.

WE GOT KARLOS DANSBY! WOOOO!!!!

See ya, Joey Porter and Gibril Wilson. Ayodele is gone too but it's just because he's old.

Now the Dolphins have Brandon Marshall. I'm kind of bummed about them giving 2 2nd round picks for him though. I just hope he gets his act together and hope we pick last next year.

HA...One of my first thoughts is what will Marc have to say? He is a great player but such a punk. Miami beach is like adding fuel to a fire with him. Good Luck!

I expected them to give our 2nd this year and a 4th next year. Now we have 7 wide receivers. It's gonna be hard letting some of them go.

And I think the Dolphins are gonna trade down now. If we're not going to trade up for Berry or pick Earl Thomas at #12, we need to a 2nd rounder to nab Nate Allen. I think they'll try with the Texans because they really want Earl Thomas. That gives us a good shot at an outside linebacker and a 2nd rounder for safety help.

One thing's for sure: The AFC East is going to be the wildest division this season.

As if Ben Roethlisberger wasn't sleazy enough already, his new haircut is just creepy.

Seriously, he's a great player, but I was hoping that he would be found guilty and cut/traded from the team, I'm certainly not the only one in Pittsburgh who feels that way either. The guy is a dirtbag through and through, and is always an asshole when seen in public around Pittsburgh. I'll still be cheering on the Steelers no matter what, but it'd be a lot easier to do if Dennis Dixon was the QB.

As for Santonio, hell of a player and it sucks they only got a 5th rounder for him...but at least the Steelers are dealing with some of their players with off the field problems. Anyway, Mike Wallace and my boy Antwaan Randle El should be able to replace him.

Ted Ginn Saga is over. He just got traded to the 49ers.

Bad news for Saints fans.

Wow, this is turning out to be a CRAZY draft! Every mock draft I've read, including mine, flew out the window after pick 5.

As for the Dolphins, I LOVE Jared Odrick! He was obviously the BPA, but the only thing is that we are already pretty much set at DE. I honestly wonder how Nolan is going to utilize our dudes now. I'm kind of disappointed that we didn't get Earl Thomas or Brandon Graham though. Oh well.

Anyway, I hope Kindle and Griffen are there for the pickings tomorrow. And Nate Allen too. And then there's Terrance Cody or Cam Thomas. Hopefully Major Wright drops to the 3rd.

Also, LOL BRONCOS! LOL LOL LOL. Maybe it'll work, but that's pretty funny that you guys ruined your otherwise awesome draft with such a risk.

Tomorrow is going to be a Patsgasm. They have, what, like 13 draft picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds now?

Draft was good last night. I loved the Jets taking Kyle Wilson. After Peyton Manning lit hem up they need some more corners. I hope they get a safety or a lineman tonight.

I'm so disappointed that the Steelers didn't trade away Roethlisberger.

I certainly won't be cheering for him anymore. I'd much rather cheer for Leftwich or Dixon, and I hope they own in the first four games to prove that we don't need a sleazy rapist leading and representing this franchise and city.

Leftwich is slow as molasses, but everybody knows the dude has a ton of heart, christ he finished a game with his lineman carrying him down the field between plays. Plus, he has a heck of an arm.

Dixon is fast and explosive, throws better than you'd think, and is just a few years removed from almost winning a heisman. Plus, his lone start last season against Baltimore was pretty impressive. Though they lost, it was to a tough team and was not Dixon's fault.

Anyway, Ben's lost me forever, I hope he screws up again ASAP and gets traded.

Way to look at the facts instead of the court of public opinion.👍

/Sarcasm

Show me where he was charged, than I could see your view a little better. The only thing I see coming out of this is the NFL being jumpy and tons of false accusations from people.

Just because he wasn't convicted doesn't mean he didn't do it, you know.

When you look at the FACTS, you see the signs pointing to him raping this

Well let's see here, he followed the girl into the ladies bathroom, an underage girl who he was feeding drinks to. The girl was obviously loaded and not in control of herself. Even if he didn't actually PENETRATE her (required for rape in georgia) he still had clear intentions following her into the bathroom like that and having his guards block her friend out. The security tape from the night in question also mysteriously disappeared before it could be investigated. Sounds like a bunch of steps an innocent man would take, right?

Nah, he's innocent just because there was a lack of evidence. Clearly he didn't do it, right? Lack of evidence, most of which had already been cleaned up by the two PENNSYLVANIA STATE TROOPERS who he hired as security.
Oh yeah, and the Georgia officer who first investigated the crime has resigned.

Also he's been accused of sexual assault twice in the past year now. Money can buy you out of a lot of trouble sometimes too.

I make my own conclusions, pal. If he looks like a rapist, smells like a rapist, and acts like a rapist, he probably is. It sounds like you are the one who is ignoring the facts?

But yeah, I'm just buying into the media hype.

I agree. I liked Ben until he had his motorcycle accident. Then I became convinced that he was a douche after that Shaq vs. episode. Total scumbag that guy.

Sorry, but Leftwich is pure garbage. He doesn't have a heck of an arm either. His arm stinks. Did you watch any Tampa games? His windup is worse than Tebow's Gator arm. You better hope Dixon starts.

Anyway, I'm loving the Dolphins draft so far. Jared Odrick, Koa Misi, and John Jerry? Sign me up. Odrick is going to be a stud, Misi is a freak, and Jerry is Leonard Davis 2. I wonder what we're going to do for Safety, but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Well I think my Jets have done well so far. Joe McKnight is okay but I would have prefer a DL at this point. oh well.

Dolphins draft = awesome so far. Can't wait for pre-season.

So you were there?

You should probably contact the cops than since it seems you know exactly what happened. I mean there couldn't possibly be another side to the story, like the girl lying about her age.

So you believe that just because somebody is not prosecuted because of lack of evidence, it means they definitely did not do it?

Seriously, I just posted plenty of relevant facts based on the case at hand on why I feel that he is a dirtbag, and that I don't want to support him on my team anymore.

Because of his police bodyguards blocking anybody else from even entering the restroom the only people who truely know what happened are Ben and the girl. Like I said, just because he has police officers covering his tracks and clubs erasing surveillance footage, doesn't mean that he's suddenly innocent.

The guy is a douche, living in the city, I have seen him WITH MY OWN eyes creeping on girls at local bars, getting shut down, and replying "Do you know who I am?" He does not take no for an answer from women and this has been well documented locally for years now. Clearly he has a problem with alcohol and women, and with two accusations in one year, like I said...I'm going to side with the fact that he did it.

I also never said that he was guilty, I merely said the facts point to him doing it, and that I really dislike him. I don't know that he did it, just like you don't know that he didn't. But, I have a lot more information to prove my point than you do. All I have seen from you so far are sarcastic remarks thinly veiling your dislike for me. :)

Wow... stacked schedule we have! The Texans really came from behind to at least challenge for a playoff spot. Now the Texans will have to step up more than ever to really establish themselves as a potent challenger. They almost made the playoffs last season (had it not been for Cincinnati laying an egg at the Jets). Now to keep themselves in the running, they NEED to at least play for the AFC Wild Card. That's unless Indy and Tennessee have terrible seasons. I also just noticed... we play only one Florida team. So no Texans vs. Dolphins match this season.

I think we need a better running game and tighten up a bit more on defense. Otherwise, I'm pretty excited for this new season. Maybe we'll eventually be as good as... that NFL team in H-town before the Texans.

Don't worry, the 'fins will hopefully beat you guys in the playoffs.

Miami's draft hasn't been sexy, but it's awesome:

1. Jared Odrick
2. Koa Misi
3. John Jerry
4. A.J. Edds
5. Nolan Carroll
5. Reshad Jones
7. Chris McCoy
7. Austin Spitler

Odrick is a beast-- Starks will move to NT and Odrick takes his spot. That gives the Dolphins a vicious front 3.
Koa Misi can play strong or weakside OLB. He's a freak.
John Jerry is Leonard Davis 2.
A.J. Edds is a huge cover backer that can play SOLB or strongside ILB.
Nolan Carroll is CB depth, but is also a burner and can be a return man.
Reshad Jones is possibly a starting free safety, and if he doesn't work out there he's great depth at strong safety and ready to take the job when Yeremiah Bell retires.
Chris McCoy is a WOLB-- don't really know much else about him. He reminds me of Cam Wake though. Depth pick. He went to Middle Tennessee, which is where great athletes with awful GPAs go to play when they get kicked out of or not accepted to other schools. So he might turn out alright after all.
Austin Spitler is a cool dude. He was a captain at OSU and will be a special teams contributer until Crowder's knees go out. Then he and Dobbins and Edds will have to be the other ILB next to Dansby.
