I'll make a bold statement and say that one again the Seahawks will win the NFC west. After beating rival Cards (out biggest threat) I think as long as they continue to have QB trouble, and we keep holding comebacks off, we are in good shape. To me at least, our team seems the opposite of last year. Last year our defense would stop them in the beginning, and then just crumble. Now it seems that if they get a little behind, they pick it up and get off the field.

At the beginning of the season I would have said that was bold. Now, not so much. It's funny though Seattle and St.Louis are contending for the title while SF and Arizona are fighting for who is worst.

So Fav-re is in a walking boot with 2 broken bones in his ankle. Chilly can't let him start this weekend.....can he????

It's amazing that Farve is going to get Childress fired. I really can't believe that Childress thought any of this was going to end well, and now it appears that he's stuck. I'm not a Farve fan that much, but for sure not a Farve hater. I'm impressed that he's still playing (although not that well, atm) but right now it's starting to feel a bit selfish on his part. I always try (not successfully all the time) to put myself in others shoes, and if I could still play, I know I would try. But there is a point of dimenisioning returns, and a whole team of other guys that may loose more than games. Alot of players have incentive contracts that Farve is comprimising right now. One more loss and the team may turn on him, no matter how charismatic he may be.

Actually, this last week Seattle and Arizona fought for the top spot. AZ is still ahead of St. Louis.

Favre left the game because he knew he wouldn't last for the season. He was right.

I think as long as Favre says he can play Childress doesn't really have an option. Perhaps if we had a semi-decent backup he would consider benching him, but Jackson is crap. I think the main problem is that they basically let Favre run the team, unfortunately he won't be benched unless he wants to.

I personally agree with one of the local sports writers that if we lose to New England on Sunday the Vikes should start forming a minor re-building strategy as it's looking likely that we could be losing some key players.

I don't think they even have a plan to fall back on, and they definitely won't be able to do squat if Favre has to sit out any games. Childress won't be able to do squat in regards to forcing Favre to not play. As mediocre as he has been playing this year (which isn't entirely his fault in some of the games this year), there isn't anything else that they can do unless they plan on running the ball for every play of every game. Peterson is good, but he isn't that good.

With all due respect, who the heck is going to break Brett Favre's consecutive game streak any time soon? I can appreciate the whole iron man deal, but you have to take your own health under great consideration. Favre will probably get knocked on his bottom and get roughed up trying to play this weekend. If he ends up getting sacked three times or picked off three times, BAD IDEA. You seem better off starting Tavaris Jackson than risk Brett Favre getting any more dinged up than he is now.

My feeling is that he'll start. He may not finish the game, but he'll start. NE's defense is getting better, but their secondary is suspect at times. If the O-line can keep Farve semi-clean and AP can run abit, they'll suffer through it. However, if/when Favre goes down and TJ comes in, it could be a water-shed moment for the Vikes. In all honesty, TJ should be taking first team snaps in practice (yesterday and today) but I haven't read anywhere that he is. Twill be interesting.

Really enjoyed watching my team(s) lose this weekend. 👍

Texans at Colts TONIGHT!

The Texans are playing in their first-ever Monday Night Football game on the road. That road trip, however... is a trip through Hell- at Indianapolis. The Colts are 8-0 all-time at home against the Texans. Both teams have some parts missing and some dinged up players. Still, this is a huge match in the AFC South.

Will the Colts get a season split, or can the Texans do the unthinkable- sweep the Colts for the first time ever?

[UPDATE] This just in... Randy Moss RELEASED from the Vikings! Your thoughts (and who might pick him up)?

Apparently Miami and Seattle are looking at him. I'm a little weary of him in South Florida.

Maybe he will go to Buffalo.

Why was he released? He seemed to be playing alright this year.

Because he is locker room cancer and only plays when he feels like it.

I guess. Can't say for sure since he lit it up when NE signed him. Maybe if the Dolphins motivate him with some boucoup bucks he'll play at the same level. Marshall Moss and Bess would be incredible.

Moss hasn't officially been waived yet. Chilly spoke to the team and said Moss was gone, but no one has told Moss yet.

Jets apparently are on the list of suitors, as is Miami and the Browns.....

Do the Jets want every problem child? They have three good wideouts plus Dustin Keller so I don't see how that would work out.

If Moss is waived, I think he would prefer to go to a team that has a chance of getting him to the Super Bowl, although the media states that only the weak teams in the league have a chance to get him.

Seriously, Randy Moss is like the Allen Iverson of the NFL.

Just play the game and stop being a pansy.

With his attitude and mentality, I wouldn't be surprised if no one in the NFL picks him up in the future.

It would be hilarious to see him in the UFL! 👍

If the Nürburgring is Green Hell, then Indianapolis is Blue Hell for my Texans. Defense was absolutely laughable and horrid as we swooned 30-17. I know it's Indy, but we could have played a hell of a lot better, especially on defense. It's like Houston teams have a knack for failing on national TV. It's not like we were neck and neck with the Colts... we just fell on our faces at a hostile environment.

Doesn't get any easier with our easy (sarcasm) schedule. Our next five: Chargers, at Jacksonville, at Jets, Tennessee, and at Eagles (Thursday night). I'm predicting 2-3 for this stretch (maybe 3-2), but I doubt we'll win any of these matches unless the defense (and even the offense) step up like hell.

Back home to Houston. Maybe we can shut up San Diego to help us feel better as our AFC Wild Card hopes continue...

Don't feel bad John at least your team didn't put up a goose egg at home :(

Well, Moss finally does get waived. So does Shawn Merriman (he also was good when he was juicing, sad now). Any takers for these guys? Apparently, Moss has a long list of possibles, problem is he has a hard time being chosen and prefers to do the choosing, which right now he has no power until he clears waivers. And if he doesn't report to whatever team chooses him, he'll be at the mercy of the yet undetermined 2011 CBA; meaning he won't be able to play for any team until that gets sorted out. Merriman on the otherhand probably is off to the UFL.

Yes, served a 4 or 6 game suspension for Performance Enhancing drugs, came back and wasn't the same, got hurt not long after and never seemed to stay healthy. Has a bad attitude and isn't anywhere close to what he was prior to the suspension, even when healthy.

Merriman is a woman-punching alcoholic scrub. He isn't even practice squad material without the steroids.

On Bob and Tom I heard the comments that Moss supposedly said in the Vikings locker room. Just... wow. No wonder they tossed him out.

I heard that it was because he still thought the Pats were a great team. Kind of like he wasn't exactly being loyal to his own. And that he wore a Red Sox hat to a team press conference or something stupid like that.
