Please Don't tell me that's How the Physics are like (Typical E.A , B.S )
Got to admit, the car is sliding a lot, but...
- Observe at the right hand bottom corner the driving aids are working overtime!
- We don't know if he used a wheel or gamepad.
- We don't know if he is a good virtual driver.
- We don't know which handling model he uses, the easiest one or the elite mode where all driving aids are disabled?
I think that with a wheel and with the elite handling mode the game will be very realistic. But at the same time at the easiest mode will be drivable by casual players who play arcade driving games like NFS-HP. And it will always be fun!
Even the fist Shift (which always had slide-y handling) with a wheel, where you tweaked the settings to your liking could deliver a very convincing experience and the sliding wasn't that pronounced as some videos would have you believe. Also the moders on PC found that the title had much more potential. I expect SMS to unleash this potential in Shift 2!
Of course all this is speculation and we won't know for sure until the first detailed hand-ons from sim-oriented reviewers go public. I am still very optimistic after the latest "Realism" trailer and because of some comments at virtualr.net where some sim-gamers had a hands-on with Shift 2 and where very satisfied!
Myself I never had as much fun with a racing game as with the first Shift!
I am definitely going to buy it the first day it comes out!
