Hang on, so you doubt that Mercedes could confuse one PlayStation driving game with another PlayStation driving game, but you're absolutely sure that Mercedes would lie to you on purpose?

Someone should really ask them again, because some of us are really confused about it. That's the logic way we should do now. I don't really know now.

I fear this to be the case as well.

NOOOOOOOO
Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. announces new version of the gaming classic Gran Turismo®: Three of the latest AMG vehicles celebrate their digital premiere in Gran Turismo® 6
Stuttgart/Silverstone

May 16, 2013

With the combined power of more than 1400 hp, Mercedes-Benz is taking to the starting grid of Gran Turismo® 6 with three of its latest models. All set to provide pure excitement and fascination in the new version of the gaming classic for the PlayStation®3 are three high-performance vehicles from AMG: the SLS AMG GT3 producing over 367 kW (more than 500 hp), the E63 AMG producing 410 kW (557 hp) and the A45 AMG producing 265 kW (360 hp). In addition to the three new vehicles, no fewer than 21 further vehicles from Mercedes-Benz which featured in Gran Turismo® 5 will also be taking to the track to set the pulses of gaming fans racing. Gran Turismo® 6 will be celebrating its market launch this holiday season. Details of the game were announced yesterday by Kazunori Yamauchi, Producer and Game Director of Polyphony Digital Inc., on the occasion of the celebrations to mark the 15th anniversary of the popular Gran Turismo® series at Silverstone in England.

these cars are for DLCs

Wait a second, a few weeks or months ago, Kaz or Sony already mentioned that E63 and A45 will not be in the game from begining, only the SLS will. Or am I wrong?

So this leads me to the conclusion that there is just a misunderstanding in this case.
I highly doubt Mercedes would do an official statement regarding E63 and A45 to be in the game just because a mistake.

Maybe the dude who handles twitter for MB don't even know there excist something like DLC so he didn't refer to a possible Mercedes DLC pack. So his information about the two cars not being in the game are literally right.

In case you weren't aware some people actually like German cars and are disappointed that those previously announced are now being omitted. Crazy world, right?

You may want to avoid calling people fools in the future when your own outlook on the matter is foolish.

Well said.

I'm pretty certain they will be dlc. AMG is an easy license and a sub license of Mercedes. Not to mention a few premium cars already done and could be used as platforms for newer models.

I'm assuming this is more "indication" of theme based DLC.

On two different systems, with two games that are not even similar in name, absolutely they'd be thick imo to confuse the two which is why I don't think they were confused. For whatever reason though, PD never got round to actually putting them into GT6 (doubt it's anything to do with MB). Either holding out for DLC (more money) or had more pressing priorities like the Lunar LV. Either way, PD should have come out ages ago and told people that the two Mercs would not be in GT6 on release.
But again, PD's communication is renowned for being poor.

I'm most disappointed about the lack of new modern road cars. I really was hoping to drive an Audi A7 packed to the brim with upgrades. Hmph just have to wait till I'm rich.

They're in the car business, not the video game business. I still think it's more likely that they would confuse the two games with each other rather than to lie on purpose about it.

Twitter isn't always reliable, sure. When it comes directly from AMG's certified account? The margin for error is a whole lot smaller.

While it's possible they mixed up DriveClub and GT (stranger things have happened, like Red Bull mentioned Pikes Peak), it certainly is odd they'd throw an entire press release out months earlier, specifically mentioning the combined horsepower of three cars, where two of them aren't even in Drive Club (yet, anyways).

Says who?
Yeah, I'm sure they just couldn't finish modeling the cars on time so they'll release it later on. But because they're really just trying to make ends meet, it would be cool if we could send them €5 or so. They have families to feed.

You mean someone who doesn't actually have a clue?
Yeah, I guess I really don't have a clue. The thing is PD/Sony is clearly behaving like a monopolist, in that they restrict supply and/or increase prices. How this situation arose in the first place would be worthy of a lawsuit but I'm not holding my breath on that one. For now, all we have to do is to not buy the DLC but I guess that's just too much to ask for.

Or they could just stop working after they've sold the product and add nothing more to it. That would be great, wouldn't it?

You want to have the newest cars and thank PD for their hard work. Oh, and it only costs as much as a BigMac. Got it.

While you think that as long as people got food on the table they shouldn't get paid for their work.

If those cars even are in the pipeline. The tweet from AMG says that they aren't. But perhaps that's how you prefer it.

Yes, it's the same about the new M5 F10 at Silvertone. These cars will come in DLC for sure as the Veloster or Ferrari P4/5 which have been scanned by PD ...
You have evidence to this because last it was reported, Glickenhaus had not been contacted at all by PD, but wouldn't mind seeing it in game.

I think underwear is getting rather bunched unnecessarily here. There are 200 new cars of which 130 approx have already been revealed. Who is to say that these aren't part of the remaining 70 odd. Or if not then DLC would be the way they will come if PD are to hold up to the "quantum leap" that was bandied around earlier. I don't think any mistakes have been made as nowhere in the release did it say how or when they will arrive just they will be there.

AMG A45, AMG E63, BMW M5, Ferrari F12, Ferrari F50, Porsche, Koenigsegg, all cars you would expect to see in any modern racing game, not to mention the "real diving simulator".

I'm not sure that PD are as in touch with the automotive industry (or their fans!) as they claim to be...

You mean someone who doesn't actually have a clue?

To a degree. Whoever manages the account may not know of all affairs straight from AMG direct, but they are told specifically what goes up and what goes down. It might of just been a quick glance and a misread, or like I said earlier, a misunderstood dispute has taken place.

Until I see some official documentation that this was a screw up/true scenario, then the finger pointing and "Y U NO" May begin. However, those who take part should step back from it all and say, "well, I might have paid money just for these cars, but where one screws up is an incentive to do great the next time."

Sorry but where is evidence that 200 new cars will be in GT6 at day of release? So far, excluding duplicates, I count 95 unique cars. They say there'll be over 1200 cars on release. Since 1080 odd are being transferred from GT5, this leaves 123 revealed so far + the 15th Anniversary editions so it comes to 1200 +.
