I should have brought my PS3, this hotel TV has composite inputs. Oh well... I'm gonna miss the race on Saturday, and already I miss my cockpit. Haven't been away from it for so long in months... ;p

Haven't been behind the wheel of a virtual car in two days. Took my boys to an indoor water park / hotel. Got home around 6 pm today. Went to the shop and finished my kids cockpit for their DFGT/GT5.

Paint theirs tomorrow day as well get sone material cut for my new cockpit build. Hoping next week to be using the Thrustmaster on a the new cockpit. Current one is fine, just helped a buddy out and sold him the G27 combo. He was talking some wood and god bless him, he really not much a fabricator let alone carpenter. Hehehe Told him he had to go online or I would sell it to a friend that will come online racing with me. ;)
 
Fuji F then.... I dont know how much diff the right setup makes. Max downforce and proper gearing probably gets it within 0.5 sec. I cant imagine perfect setup giving a whole second....but maybe I'm wrong. I think there needs to be a hold on the regulations from here on out and just let the races play out the way they do. It is what it is....If your mid pack so what, its about the journey, not the destination.

.5 seconds over 12 laps is a full minute behind. At 24 laps you could be getting lapped.


Consistency is part of a good tune as well. So fast laps are only as good as the laps times surrounding them. ;). No worries. The draft on this game and fuji will level the field some.

Hope I have a good showing this week. Top five be nice. Finishing the race is the goal though. Hahahaha

.5 seconds x 12 = 6 seconds in my book. 24 x .5 sec = 12 seconds. You can do a lap around Fuji F in 12 seconds? :eek:

Since I'm away tomorrow, and the next guy in the waiting list, Slagithor/Francois1689, also chose the Xanavi Nismo GT-R, he can take my place for this race. MtBer, keep an eye on him, we may have to recruit him, lol!

Lounge Opens at 530PDT, qualifying at 6, Race at 610.

25 Laps at Fuji, I'm really excited to get this started 👍


Also, a last minut change to cars. Brandofo is now using that Takata Dome. After lounge opens, everything is locked for all 6 races.

Well I hope I fix this lag I have from having NAT type 3. I didn't even know owens was racing untill the race finished and it showed I got 3rd instead of second. I hope I didn't hit anybody that I didn't see. I can tell that I was lagging the game is stuck on the loading screen loading to lobby lol....

It took me a couple weeks to finally get my NAT issues sorted out. I ended up bridging my modem and that solved it for me.

Yeah you definitely need to figure out how to enable NAT 2. I saw your car jump unnaturally from side to side a few times...but luckily I never really got hit hard enough to throw me off track or get dmg.

Other than that it was a VERY CLOSE race for the lead. It was all about finding the right balance between pace and tire conservation... I was saving tires and at the end MtB and I were working together to pull in mustard which was working nicely but 3 laps from finish I was a bit too eager on the throttle coming out of the chicane and lost touch with MtB, losing any chance at catching up...

BTW the Supra seems to be the car to have. Its performance is close to that of the Nismo Z. But I'm OK with it...if I ever manage to beat Owens it will be that much more satisfying :)

Well a bit to talk about unfortunately. There was good racing up front, and me and jav were pretty much on each other for all 30 laps, though he did better on the worn out tires.

Thanks to everyone who showed up. Will post preliminary results tonight (unless someone would like to do so ahead of time lol). Hopefully next week will be better "👍
 
Well I feel like a dork for the start. Just raced earlier and we left from a dig. I totally forgot we paced lapped. Caught on when people was talking about it. Hahahaha what's worse I had a friend sitting behind me laughing.


I think I only had one collision where I had fault involved. Sadly with Atlas. Once on turn 3/4 I thought I had him cleared and picked up gas. Then right the turn after I got him in the side. Waited cause I knew we could draft to catch the leaders. ;) it worked out well. Sorry man. We had many good battles. Thanks again for hosting xAmillion.

Yeah that was a dark spot on an otherwise excellent race :( Unfortunately the time lost there was kinda missing at the end. But the battles between the 4 lead cars were just incredible. Watching the replay and seeing how often MtB and I were running side by side through corners without touching gave me goosebumps. Great stuff 👍

Thinking back, i was expecting a qualifier race for some reason, did we do like a five lapper last week before main event?

As for splut times, I looked back at my buddy and asked why the heck am I 16 seconds up? They get all tangled? Hahahaha won't happen again. That's for sure.
 
That was super close....Good combo of cars. I didnt practice much at all, but that doesnt seem to make much diff....I think the online physics are so diff, that offline practice is not what its cut out to be.

I made a mistake and that allowed Owens to catch back up. Need to perfect my driving.... My straight line speed wasnt what I wanted, but the car isnt broken in yet.... Maybe it'll improve slightly with miles.

The bickering and chit chat in the backround was super distracting....Anybody else find that really tough to try and race with???

I deal with it by muting my mic, taking my headset off and setting it aside. No distractions.

alot of that was because of 1 really bad driver screwing up 2 peoples races from the start of the race all the way through...they were trying to make it be known by talking on the mic, but it didn't seem to stop....

it was a really fun first half of the race for me....going back and forth with jav and xAmillion ...then my rear tire ever so slightly hit the grass strip on the strait after the hairpin and spun me out :( So i was on an island by my self...to far behind to draft to catch up...and far enough infront of 8 and 9 to just casually cruise the rest of the race

i do have one question though....y do the Lexus cars get a stage 2 turbo...is it because of their low tq???
