Thats a good question. I made a simple GTP map. Later I re-loaded it with changes and now I have 2 GTP maps when I go online. So if you make changes it seems to make a duplicate which is strange. We will get it figured out. I sure cant wait to get home and play. :)
My question is how do you block other members from stealing your design?
 
I dont think you can edit any of the maps you download from others, I know I can't edit any of yours. But you can play them offline :)
 
Oh thats great news then. :) We will have to test the theory about updating maps and see if they update for other people right away. Just make a simple dot on the map so it will load fast. Then go add a tree or 2 and see if it updates automatically. Easy quick test.
 
my map looks totally different than my pics from yesterday lol im not even finished yet, i havnt added weapons or anything yet just some vehicals ;)

not sure, I didnt see any options for that when I jumped in a split screen game with my brother but I could be wrong. Maybe DG can confirm for us when he's off work this afternoon?
 
I played with Gvan and Driftgod almost all weekend long. Even played a few maps with Tangoman. My girlfriend even played most of the weekend with us. I have to say that this is one of the best multiplayer games I have played in a long time. The mapmaking is soo impressive and helps to make sure the maps can never get old. If you haven't played this then you really need to at least rent it!! I personally say BUY IT! :)
No bots but you dont need them.
 
Here is a map I started tonight called "Off Road 1"
Its basically a map to drive quads an hummers around in. There is a vicious hill climp and a brutal jump over a huge drop into the water. Each event is color coated. Red, yellow, Blue and green.
Blue is the jump
Red is the hill climp
Green is a two track adventure between trees and over several obstacle courses. Yellow is a little rock climbing and some water holes.

The respawns are in the same spot so every time you die you get a vehicle

thats awesome dude, I have to get that from you when you finish it. I actually have a track in the works as well, I like your ideas of using the rocks, so dont be suprised If I throw a few in mine as well.

Time for some races! I tried making Tsukuba Circuit but maybe Ill do that later, my first attempt didnt go so well.

Thanks bro. I kept receiving your game invites and by the time I finished the rough draft of the map you were off. I bet I only missed you by a few minutes. I am not even close to finished with it but I appreciate the compliment. I still have to fix the jump. It is such a brutal landing you explode on impact. :lol:
I also have 2 more maps in the making. "Donut" and one called "Farmland". Those 2 will be great chaotic levels. :)
This game is sooo addictive!!!!
Hint: the Hummer climbs better than the quad.
 
Well, by all means take your time on it ;)

Yea I was running a server till 10:15 and had to leave the house, came home and played single player for an hour and I was done for the night. Man, that single player is really starting to be a shred-fest.

I started to miss my beloved Forza so now Im on the routine of Forza for a few hours then Far Cry to finish off the night.
 
I love just brutaly attacking the guys in the single player. After you get farther into the game, that loud hacking crunch noise when you lock onto them. Watching them fly across the level into trees or off of cliffs. The way they scream after their ragdoll body gets blasted is just awesome. Just wait until you get towards the end of the game it gets even more difficult. I think I am on the last level but I have to be close to beating it. I think I have around 6 hours into the single player so far. The multiplayer still is absolutely incredible.
I will probably be jumping back into Forza again but getting me away from this game wont be easy. Far Cry Instincts is all I can think about all day long. Just drawing maps at work then going home and building them. Its probably the best multiplayer I have ever played. 👍 👍
 
I forgot what level I am on but I am at least 2 or 3 levels past the mines. I am trying to avoid spoilers so I am not looking anywhere to see the total levels.
 
I still think the PC version of Far cry has the better map editor. Even if its more harder to work with.
 
ok CAMAROBOY, that off road map you made for the ATVs and Hummers is amazing, Im pretty sure theres no way I could come up with anything that could even touch that.

Like I said, I formed my own lobby last night and just messed around in the map by myself for about 40 minutes. :)👍

I cant wait to get a bunch of people in there all going to each event. That would be awesome to watch from one of the look out towers. Hmm mabey a video soon. :sly:
I will post updated pics of that map tonight and delete the old pics.
 
Here is the map I made called Donut. I threw it together in about an hour and kept all the brush out to make it simple.

hey dude I should be running a lobby for a few hours tonight, I picked up another ATV/RMV map from someone else last night but was only in the map for about 10 seconds so I haven't even seen it yet, and as soon as we got back to lobby the ****ers booted me. I got a couple more cool maps last night too.
 
Yeah this will be a good night for me too. I dont really plan on making another map tonight. I just want to screw around on some of the maps I made and other people made. I have an even better idea for "Off Road 2" but I will wait until the weekend or next week to start it. Hopefully see you tonight. Mabey DG too.
THere are a couple spots in my off road map that are almost impossible with the quad. I think its the green event. Good luck if you use the quad. Its brutal in there. :lol:
 
Here is another map I made called "Tree Trap"
Its loaded with places to set up tree traps for the unsuspecting. Jumps for the water craft that if taken perfectly can kill.

4 small islands on the outskirts that have water vehicles so whenever you spawn out there you always have a ride to pick from.

Jumps over walkways. 8 total

ladder to the sniper towers 4 total

Ladder in the middle that leads to the top center of the map. Tree traps can be placed here along with mines.

When you walk thru here from your spawn point be careful because tree traps can also be hiding in these bushes.
 
I am really glad everyone enjoyed my "Off Road 1" map. I think it was the first time I was ever online and someone said. "You need to just put infinite time on this map" I never laughed soo hard at an online game before. Watching 4-8 hummers all trying to go thru trees and trails was hilarious. And some of the hummers had 4 people in 1 hummer!!! I got some great video footage and will try to post some of it over the weekend if I get a chance. I met and added a lot of new friends to my list. :)
 
when you switched the ATVs to Hummers did they all show up ok? yeah thats just hilarious rollin 5 deep in the hummer. Its almost like you want to get all hammered and go 4 wheelin!

On another note Im also glad that my "BUMPER CARS" map went over really well with everyone. I finally got alot of people in it at once and it there was never any spot on the map that had an advantage and it was always hectic with all the hovercrafts going around everywhere.

I need to get some pics up of that one, maybe later, I gotta go pack, Im goin to the beach this weekend (and of course now theyre predicting rain all weekend, ****!)

Yes when I put 8 hummers in there they all showed up. It was crazy you could see people jumping in the backround and driving over each other. I was dying. :lol: There were guys racing up the hills side by side too. Friggin awesome.
Yeah your bumper car map is the best one you have imo. Thats a great map too. Hitting people full blast with the hovercraft watching their bodies fly. I saw one guy get sandwitched between two hovercrafts. :lol:
Yeah gets some pics but the really pics wont do it any justice. Its like mine, you really have to experience them to appreciate how fun they are.
Hopefully I will see you this weekend some time.
Those that dont have this game dont realize what your missing.
 
I wish I was recording from last night. That was the best so far. All 8 of the hummers were being driven and I think we had at least 10-12 people. At one point there were at least 4-5 hummers drag racing up the hill climb. :dopey: If I had known that many people were going to be in there I would have recorded it for sure.
As for the other vid I will try to get it posted some time soon.
