My friend got this the other day and it rocks. Most definitely. We didn't even go into the Story Mode, we just played some 3 man multiplayer. I'd rather play this multiplayer than Halo 2's multiplayer I think. The weapons are better, the vehicles are better, the maps are insane, and there's a whole new element added with being able to set traps in multiplayer. I had a lot of fun just trying to lure my unsuspecting friends into my tree branch traps of doom. Great game.

Make sure you get my new "Bunkers" map from GVan or someone. All the walls are higher and the bad spot by the red flags has been fixed. There is also more coverage everywhere. Hopefully I will be on tonight some time.

That was a fun map and a very creative idea. 👍
All I would do is mabey put a smaller ship next to it that you could go across to. Similar to the map in Medal of Honor Rising Sun for the PS2.

I found out how to get LAG FREE MAPS!!!!
I tried several experiments last night with a few test maps to find out why some
maps lag and some dont. HERE IS THE ANSWER!!
This is very very important. Possibly the most important hint on this site for making maps.
While making your map, hit the back button and start walking around inside of it. While you are in your map look in the upper right corner of your screen. There is a performance gauge. That gauge absolute must be green on your ENTIRE MAP! Dont just stand in the center and just look around because that wont work. You MUST physically walk your entire map. Look at everything. Look up, down, at cluttered parts. Look everywhere!! I found parts of maps that actually went into the red last night. Then I took that map online and sure enought. Lagged bad.
It is very important that you look and walk thru your entire map and watch that performance gauge the whole time.
THAT IS HOW YOU GET LAG FREE MAPS!!

This is my latest map. I have many hours in this map just trying to make the Performance meter stay in green. I had to redo it several times.

Bunkers is probably one of my favorites for a small hectic map, and that CB junkyard looks like a cool idea. Its probably gonna be a few weeks still before I finish my Rock N Roll off road map and my Dirka Dirkastan map.

Good times on that map last night, its crazy when you get alot of people in there, if you can find a good place to hide you can snipe away but I had more fun planting explosives and collecting my kills later.

I really really enjoy that map. There is pretty much a little something for everyone on that map. Snipers, 1 rocket, 1 predator on the pitcher mound if someone dares to get it, and 8 quads. I set it up so no one has any distinct advantage over the other players.
Like you said you can get away with trying to snipe for a while but you will eventually get killed either by another sniper or by someone spawning close to you.
Someone kept blowing me to pieces in the underground tunnels with the claymores. I am pretty sure it was you.
My favorite part is looking at the red and blue base and wait until a little head pops up the "Headshot"

Last night I revised it and changed it to a Chaos map so it actually announces a winner based on kills, and added protected spawn areas to prevent spawn camping.

None of these changes affect the essential layout of the map in any way, and if anything should make it even crazier and more fair at the same time. Sorry I dont have pics, but I will be flaunting the map this weekend so be sure to pick it up

The problem was that I originally designed it as a Steal the Sample map to ensure the red and blue teams spawned on opposite sides.

Last night I revised it and changed it to a Chaos map so it actually announces a winner based on kills, and added protected spawn areas to prevent spawn camping.

Just got this game myself, it's great fun!

Those loading times though...great scot! EVERY time you start the game, or exit to menu, you HAVE to watch a 3 minute video. Ugh. Anyway, great game, good fun, and actually quite creepy too, made me jump once or twice!

After you play a little of the first player and save you wont have to watch that video any more.

Glad to hear you only got it for 20. Its unfortunate however that you dont have live. You could make your own maps and we could play them online together.
As for you owning me... well I would say you need live to determine that.

Thank you sir, and the hours we played of ranked games did help my ranking....115th on Chaos mode now

I dont really get how they do the rankings though, some of the people mixed in with me look like they have only played like 1 or 2 ranked games.


HERE IS THE DEAL!!!!
We are going to try and get a bunch of people together and have a nice big room goin tonight. My Gamertag is in my sig so try and track me down. We will run some user made maps but some maps in the game as well so you're not spending half your night downloading maps. Chaos or Team Chaos or Predator, Ranked or Unranked. I just want to have a good time playin and actually have a decent sized lobby going on.
