when i host my games are always ranked, so if you join my room you are getting ranked.

HERE IS THE DEAL!!!!
We are going to try and get a bunch of people together and have a nice big room goin tonight. My Gamertag is in my sig so try and track me down. We will run some user made maps but some maps in the game as well so you're not spending half your night downloading maps. Chaos or Team Chaos or Predator, Ranked or Unranked. I just want to have a good time playin and actually have a decent sized lobby going on.

I will be on tonight after 5:30-6:00 for sure and will set my night aside just to play this. I prefer unranked but if you guys want to play ranked thats fine. Its strange how im ahead of you and I dint even play all weekend.

I will run unranked since that seems more popular when you are searching for a room, hopefully we will get more "walk in" players too.

Ok I just had the room up and running and it froze up on the second round, I will be starting another shortly (after I eat dinner) unless someone already has one running, hopefully with a limit less than 16 people so it wont freeze agian.

Those of you that have my Bunkers map. Delete it. I have updated it and there is only 1 predator in the middle now instead of 5. After a few matches with Gvan and some other members on that map I decided there was too much "Predator Whoring" once everyone found where they were. The new map also has more brush, trees, some smoothed out edges, and some of the weapons have been moved around along with health packs to more reasonable locations.

there are alot of people asking about making tunnels so i decided to take some screenshots to show how i built my latest map.

first i started a new map with the RUIN brush set and set my land at 20m:



then i took LARGE WALKWAY 2 pieces and sunk them down as far as they would go:



i then added a LARGE INTERSECTION 2 at the end and 2 more LARGE WALKWAY pieces:



now if take another LARGE WALKWAY and raise it, it will lock into place around the LARGE INTERSECTION, i did this at all 4 corners, they will also lock into place along the LARGE WALKWAY pieces sunk into the ground:



after getting the pieces locked together switch to the TERRAIN TOOL and set the height to 16m and sink all the pieces, then fill in the gaps with more LARGE WALKWAY pieces so that there are no spaces:



if you want to make a entrence/exit you can place a LARGE RAMP piece at the end like i did on my map:



now with all the LARGE WALKWAY pieces locked together and the gaps filled in the inside of the tunnel will look like this:



boxing in the intersection does 2 things, it leavs a nice skylight and it also leaves 4 cutouts with a small ledge that i used to place granades:



now if you use the LARGE INTERSECTION in the middle of a tunnel or at a corner you will have spots where you will see dirt, i used OPEN & CLOSED CONTAINERS to fill in these spots, the OPEN CONTAINER can be used to hide in or as in my map to put weapons, heath and armor:

thats a pretty cool map. Sure its not "realistic" but very creative use of objects and makes for a nice hectic match.

well crap...i decided over the weekend to go back and continue on my story mode on Far Cry. I am on the Jungle level (I think level 5 or 6). Each time I get to the end and it goes to load up the next level my Xbox freezes. Its starting to get really ***king irritating because its done it about 6 times in a row. Well, I guess Ill never really know what the end of the story is. I really like this game alot, but God DAMN its one of the buggiest ive ever played played. Way to drop the ball Ubisoft. I guess ill try the unlock all levels cheat and see if that lets me continue my game....

That sucks Gvan I was on the very last level a long time ago. Now every time I play this game I get that @#$ing sound glitch. I never had it until recently and its soo irritating especially thru surround sound. It made me instantly loose interrest in the game. Even if I go online this happens now and it never happened before. Yeah this is the most glitchy game I ever played online. The map making was absolutle awesome but the game play just got old with all the glitches.

well I unlocked all the levels with a cheat, its consistently freezing every time i complete a level, but at least now I can just reboot the xbox and pick the next level. It seems to remember what weapons and ammo I had at the last save point so its pretty much like im playing through it normally.


I had the sound glitch once, man that was annoying. I have heard of people that they cant get it to stop so they traded in the game on something less glitchy, lol.

I tried several things to get rid of the sound glitch and other glitches. I am almost to the point where I am going to trade the game in. Actually my copy and my girlfriends copy. I havent played FCI since I found Battlefield 2: Modern Combat anyway. After playing BF2:MC I just cant see myself getting back into Far cry instincts. At least not for a while. There is just sooo much awesome stuff in BF2. If you read any of my replies about that game you would understand. 👍

I may get that one eventually, but HL2 is really calling my name now. Ive been looking forward to that one for years, but it just so happened to come out the same day as Most Wanted

Oh yeah you cant go wrong with Half Life 2 thats for sure. 👍
I am taking my time with HL2 for the xbox since I already beat it for PC. I play it if our internet is down or when I need a break from BF2:MC. My girlfriend loves watching me play HL2. Both games are at the top of my favorite games I ever played.

I havent been on the far cry site in a while since I really dont play the game anymore because of sound glitches, but I do check in on occassion. A member by the name of DarkCervantes made this map. I thought it was a creative idea. Here are just a couple pics of it. Its from He-Man.

no sound problems here, and until a game comes out with a beter map maker i dont plan on buying any.

i forgot how much fun this game is until me and GVan played last night 👍
