I thinks I would fall asleep halfway through, i guess im gonna have to learn how to sleep and drive.

That's what teammates are for. 24 hours isn't that long anyway - it's not like we're producing the same effort normal drivers do.

I'm really hoping that GT4's online mode is extremely customizable. I'm starting to get some crazy ideas with all this enduro talk..(36/48h, 4 Drivers, etc..)[:dunce:]

Thats the thing, there's nothing to keep you awake but moving pictures.

Caffeine my friend, caffeine....

I'm already setting up my expresso machine in the living room... :sly:

Just think when everyone is playing GT4 online this place will be deserted.
Or will GTPlanet be hosting online events?
Eagle, it would be extremly frustating to run 23 hours of a 24 hour online race and the power gets cut off for the last hour.

deserted?? It's going to be overfilled! Setting up all of the tournaments and races will be much easier to do on GTP then on the PD/Sony servers... How much % of PS2 owners own a Keyboard? Or can you use any usb Keyboard?

Imagine the days right after the game is released. It gonna be packed. I can already imagine the "I need cheats" threads.

I'm probably not even going to try to go GTP when it comes out.
1. I'll analyse the game.
2. The server will be too packed...Hopefully Jordan's Server will be able to hold up...

Does anyone know if the online mode will support dial up? Im pretty sure it wont, and all i have is dial up.

I'm sure GTPlanet will host a few sanctioned events, failing that, individual members will.

Guess I'm gonna need a decent UPS for my PS2 to combat the power issue. But mechanical failures are a fact of racing.

I hope the weekly race series continues, its a fun thing and I look forward to it every week.

I'm sure the WRS will continue, simply because it's an "At your own pace" event, you don't have to be anywhere at a specific time or place or you miss out for a week. It's not going anywhere ;) If it does, we know where GoKents lives...

They should create a thread when GT4 comes out and make it sticky. It would be called

Sticky: ******GT4 CHEATS ALL OF THEM LOOK HERE NOW!!!!!******

Then there would be, "There are none. DONT ASK OR BE WARNED. ASK AGAIN AND BE BANNED"

ha ha to all those damn newbies. :D

Just like like the *** free porn in here*** thread, 1800 visits in short time.....
I wonder how many people have looked more than once.
Back to a serious matter.
How many of you out there actually have your PS2 set up to play online allready?
It might not be as many as we think. I don't and the price of setting it all up and ongoing gaming costs turns me away.

I bought the Network Adaptor as a Valentine's Day gift to myself for being so good in bed. Connected it up to my router, registered with CentralStation, forwarded ports as necessary and played away.

I have everything i need to play but I only have dial up. I'm gonna have to get broadband so I can play GT4 online.

Drag Racing: The perfect way to kill 20 seconds whilst waiting for your team to redeploy in your favourite War time shooter.

I'm hoping that a drag race consists of several individual races so it will last longer, unline NFS U where a drag race was about a minute and you were sent back to the menu.

what I would like to see is how dirty cars get due to rallying or long time races without washing your car
In GT3,all they have shown is how dull the paint gets after you have used the car for a long time ( without washing your car ).

I would be quite neat to see the amount of mud on your WRX Impreza just to show that you've gone through alot of rally.

They should also animate the car wash in a really neat way...not just seeing the car spinning.

but this is a Racing simulator ....not a car wash simulator :D

If they have an animated 'pit crew' in GT4, will we also have an animated 'car wash crew' as well? - If so heres hoping it consists of scantly clad bimbos getting soapy! - beats a spinning car any day!

On a slightly more serious note - i hope we don't just get 'dull' paint work from overuse, i hope we get the kind of splatted flies/oil/black tyre rubber marks like you oftern see in LM racing or F1s.

Yep......I'm 👍 for an animated car wash...... Somehow a car spinning around stupidly of its own didn't thrill me very much.....actually it was crap!

Hey, by the way (bit off topic again).....don't want to make a new thread :nervous: .....my question is......

What will PD do if a car has reciently had a facelift and no longer looks like the model that GT4 tested ages ago......will they go a redo the facelift (cos the car is basically the same).....or leave us with somthing with is already old? :(

My example is a Rover 75......the "new look" one looks pretty neat.....do you recon that PD are they gonna redo it for GT4 like many other recient facelift cars?.....

This is what PD gets for taking about 2 years to make the game......car manufacturers release faster than PD can graphicate!

I think PD has alot of time on there hand currently, probably just cleaning up some online and bugs ( also probably working on PSP) , So I think they will update to the date the game comes out.
