Anyone else getting banged around by racerdave?

Some great battles with the Cheef again tonight! Thanks for hanging back for me.

Starfox (green S2000) raced me uncharacteristically clean until the last chicane where he tried to punt me off for the win, luckily I was able to pass him back on the exit, WITHOUT traction control! I'm starting to get the hang of this! I'm not sure I would have won that race if I had TC on!

Hey guys! I just want to say AWESOME RACING TONIGHT!!!

I was also getting banged into by racerdave im glad im not the only one who thinks this.

Those were some awesome GTP races at Fuji we had tonight. Earth, and Jump Ace, idk what happened but you were only with us for 2 or so races, i would of loved to race with you more often. Very close racing!

Me, Cudadude, DR, CWR, and Cheef were racing awhile, and it was a blast to say the least! I know a few time's me and Cheef or DR would go into a corner side-by-side and give each other room, awesome racing again guys.

For now I'm going to put the wheel away and explore the new COD4 maps before I go to bed. Awesome racing tonight everyone, very refreshing contrast to what's become the norm online.
 
I'd love to have some F40 meets. Maybe tomorrow, see how it goes. I'm off to bed, see ya later!
 
That 512BB is crazy, I only bought it 15 minutes before the race so I did some quick and dirty setup. It's too quick to loose the back end at times it seems, nowhere near as stable as my F430 yet.
 
Yeah I am surprise you guys went that fast with that old thing. It must have been a great sports car back in the day.
 
Joined in last night at 9:00pm for the first time and it was fun. Two races with limited number of cars on High Speed Ring Reverse. All the GTP drivers were polite, which was a nice change. One of the other drivers out there repeatedly and purposefully tried to ram me off the road on the straight during the second race though! It didn't work, but it was the most obvious instance of this happening to me online yet (he moved right and then repeatedly tried ramming me off the road by swinging left into me as hard as possible, then back to the right and back into me again and again. I had the Lotus IIIr / Tuned and he was in the Ford GT LM concept, but I managed to hold in there somehow.)

Possibly your clock is set incorrectly? I had this problem too until I realized that the PS3 apparently doesn't change for daylight savings time automatically, you have to go and change it manually. I did than and my PS3 clock is now set to the correct Eastern standard time.
 
Earth, it was good racing with you. I finally beat you in some races my EVO tuned was on Fuji. haha
 
My apologies to GTP_slicecom, and/or anyone who's been "punted" off track by me. Everyone makes mistakes. I pride myself on being a clean and respectful racer, rest assured, I'd never purposely ruin someone's race. Driver error is part of the excitement of online racing. It's an important element that sets it apart from offline play. Perhaps sometimes we push too hard, as the adrenaline pumps when a win may be possible. While I don't like to see people punted off track (especially myself), I think that minor contact is inevitable in online racing at this time, and I've learned to accept it as part of my experience. Once again, I'd like to express my sincerest apologies. -GTP_F1P1
 
F1P1, that's the fun about playing GTP members online. We all know that making passes and racing hard is apart of racing. I don't really mind if I get punted in a situation that seems like a fair attempt at a pass. The thing that gets me is when people block on the straights, brake early on purpose, and you know things that aren't really "fair". If you attempt to make a pass and accidentally tap someone, that's not a big deal to me, it's just a part of the game. :)

Man, Screw Daytona. The host quite 4 times in the a row. And when I did race, I was put into the 9 out of 10 times. Its just idiot land, they should make it harder to beat the game. ****ing noobs and a$$holes.. I will be a HSR Reverse

That last race was rubbish...I was booted off the track 3 times by the same guy.. Every time I could try to pass him. Then I would caught up again and the same thing.
 
I've been messing around with the F1 car and WOW! Fuji is so much fun in an F1 car! I can't stand it in any other car, but taking those high speed turns flat out at 19,000rpm is a blast! I can't wait for some online F1 races! :)

In addition, there are already several well organized online racing leagues for F1CE. The link above will take you to GTP's dedicated sub-forum for F1CE for lots of info about the game. You can now pick up this great game at Target and other stores for around $25. I paid $60 for it last year and felt it was well worth it!
 
beware of the F1 car!!! I spent all last night and all of earlier this morning seriously enjoying that car but then once I switched back to my GTR to go make some monies online, I was all over the place! Forgotten break points, where to feather the throttle etc... but golly... that F1 car sure is fun!!

And as mentioned above by Digital-Nitrate F1 Championship Edition is an absolutely great game! I actually bought my PS3 for that game... its one of my favorites for sure...

Already own it! That was the first game for PS3 that I bought. But I don't feel its physics are as realistic as GT5:P. I prefer GT5:P and rFactor's F1 physics.
 
im about to go jump online and was wondering are you guys following the racing schedule everyday? or does it differ on the weekends.

Im really starting to enjoy Fuji :) BUT they need to get Laguna Seca in their ASAP!
