Whilst I admit - racing only suzuka on 750pp is fast becoming boring (only other track I'd touch is fuji. I don't think eiger is the answer. Track is waaaay too slow for 750pp it'd be as bad a london.

Sony need to release some new tracks or I can't see me playing this for much longer.

Yeah that's my point, Suzuka, Suzuka, Suzuka... all the time!
600pp was just an example, all track with mixed pp would be ok aswell, i just dont like screwing my setups for the different pps. 700 pp was by far the best class for that matter. I dont like the PP system anyway... HP based system would be much better i think!

Hp based would be a little silly, Tuned Elise would fit in a lower class then something like a F430, we all know who'd win that battle round almost any track. I think perhaps the points system needs tweaking perhaps, but HP is a bad idea, power/weight ratio might work but then one car could have huge downforce giving it the large advantage and so on and so on. It needs to have some sort of basis that takes it all into account like the points system. Once that systems sorted out

LOL what are new tracks good for if we can't evevn choose the old ones?
Also honestly while Suzuka is a good track, its sure not my favorite. Its almost impossible to make a clean overtake!
And for Eiger and London the same is true it just adds some variety and they look so damn nice

Hey i can wizz around Eiger in a good 1:04 or so in my Amuse, i want Touge battles online ! I know with the current system it would fail because all the morons would punt everyone. Lets be honest the ultimate events we all want is private customisable rooms so we can choose what we want and who we play with!

Slipstream, get a run on 130R then brake late and take the inside into Casio if you can get along side, same sort of deal going into T1, wide line into Dunlop to carry more speed then go outside. Run outside on 200R a bit after slipstreaming to go inside by braking late again.

There's plenty of spots to overtake cleanly, its just about whether the two drivers involved are aware of the others actions. If you're quicker then the guy infront, that means you're gaining ground somewhere on the track, work out your strongest point and exploit it. I usually happy follow round the latter half of Suzuka and pass going on the back straight or S/F straight so i can be ahead for the Esses, my strongest point in my Amuse which is my normal car. If you're in the same car, then you can certainly slipstream and pass.

But london could be great, but probably as one of you said, Not much room, and with 20% morrons, it's a killer...

damn I already Miss Fuji for the F1, just loved that race, have gain about 3 mill the last couple of days, from online racing on Fuji.. fastes lap i did, was 1,14.476 good slipstream around hehe, but focused and concentrated, and all in the right spots. that is awesome, but that kind of racing, isn't everyday life in Gt5 online, to many morons and to much Net spikes, ruin the overtakings.. stupid penalties, throwed around, but not because of mistakes, but jiggling cars, hitting you...

Ok agree with Dragonistic, we have to stick with this update, untill the 7st of july, but i do miss something hehe..

ps. just been online on london with the F1 in 3 races, Nope that isn't fun at all, ramming penalty is often coming up, because of morons just wanna win, it's like Monte carlo in wet weather.. the only way to have a nice race, is to be infront, or with some people that like too use there brain for clean racing, in real life, we have lots of f1 drivers that hasn't even got close too the top10, and they still keep the rules in mind when driving, and some of them has been racing for many years, and still don't ruin the game.. they are prof, and i like to see my self as a prof, not that i'm the fastes driver, but that the way to make this SIM worth playing..

Nope, 8 is way to many, 4 could do, But Even that would'nt help, we need public servers. that's basicly what we need. otherwise it's a big joke, sometimes, and it do make me quit if there is to many morons on it.. o know it's wrong, but they don¨t deserve the respect. sorry.. just a big waste of time, and diffrently not fun..

Just there are very few people who overtook me clean and fair on Suzuka so far. Maybe you're one of them ?

It's all about judgement, something lacking in many, MANY of the GT5P drivers out there. It's also very difficult for the lead driver to see them coming on certain views. Suzuka is no worse then Fuji though for instance, Fuji is king of the dodgy overtake because you never know when its fair when it's not, but i love Fuji, inexperienced Fuji goers don't understand how the track works though. On Suzuka at least you know what was a fair attempt and what was just desperation.

It's not just overtaken, it's also knowing when to be overtaken. If I misjudge a corner and come out of it too slow and a faster driver is up my tail, I move out of the way and let them pass. Better luck next corner.

Well i ll be playing GT5p again when theres is a balanced variety of events. Just decided to get me a crapbox, maybe they offer what im seeking for ? I cannot buy MGS4, because its yet again another region locked game.I then can say Sony made me buy a xbox, how!

hehe sony and there world wide networking promise (2005-6), what a joke ay.. atleast the xbox network is more world wide, for what i know, but i'm not sure though...

grid is looking good, but Hmm way to different to drive then GT serie, not near the real feel at all... and talking about morrons, will it's a Moron friendly game hehe .. can take it serious i'm affraid Baja another upcoming Race game, The idea is awesome, but totally offroad (stated) nahhh , seems to me, that they drive on the roads, in the trailers. hehe..

Yea bring back the weekly updates. There was never many events on the japanese version but at least they were updated regularly and gave a good variety of cars

Chris, the events update automatically. There's no update to download. As soon as you select the 'online' option, the new events will appear

I just realised, if you want a real good gaming experience you need at least two systems nowadays. Just checked what will come for PS3 this year and i couldn't care less about... Back in PS2 days i bought at least 2 games a month, now i have 5 PS3 games (2 of them GT5p?) in a whole year! Played PGR and Forza games at a friend and they're not too bad So well i mean if Sony doesn't want my $ why not give it Bill? lol

The new Suzuka TT's on R1's seem interesting for when you have nothing else to do! but all the other updates are quite rubbish and PD shouldn't have bothered, are they trying to keep us interested or put us off completely???

Roll on next months update and maybe we might get something decent! ... then again it will more than likely be the same old crap 👎

I think PD are rotating the maps/pps at the minute as they do not have the private rooms implemented. If they offered every map and pp combination now, think how many of the events would be empty. It could well be that you could then race your favourite event, but you would have to wait 15 minutes for someone else to join as well.. Not exactly ideal.

By rotating the events, PD ensure that people can quickly get a race on each of the available options (most of the time).

A lot of people complained when the 600PP got limited to S2s last update but it turned out to make for interesting racing. I'd much prefer chopping and changing with some events I don't fancy than empty events all over the shop.

Yeah but they didn't really rotate them much this time did they ? We still have 600 PP S2, 750 PP and 500 PP with Suzuka and Fuji the main focus.

I would rather drive 20 rounds on Fuji Or Suzaka, and with a big smile on my face..
F1 on Fuji and suzaka, should e there all the time, it's the tracks for F1, well highspeed ring is also a F1 track, ut also this track is getting a little borring with The F1, in the long run..

This is insane! I don't know how much longer I can go without Daytona Road! In my opinion the following races should ALWAYS be there in Expert, as they're real tracks, the fake tracks can change randomly:

500PP Daytona Oval
500PP Daytona Road
500pp Fuji
500PP Suzuka

600PP Daytona Oval
600PP Daytona Road
600pp Fuji
600PP Suzuka

700PP or 750pp Daytona Oval
700pp or 750pp Daytona Road
700pp or 750pp Fuji
700pp or 750pp Suzuka

They will be monitoring how many players race and have a system, probably something along the lines of keeping the top 2 for each pp category and switching the 3rd to see if it is more popular than the previous one, this way those who want to race Suzuka a lot have that choice, whilst those wanting to learn a lesser palyed track (Daytona road or London) also have something for them. Admittedly it would be nice if PD held a poll a week before each update to ask what people would want, but then you'd end up with 1000000pp daytona road, standard physics, 1 lap or something ridiculous.

Their rotating system might not be perfect, but at least it makes sense (in theory).

Edit: See above why it wouldn't work if we were given choice, slicecom loves Daytona Road and that's fair enough - it is a good track. But you also enjoy Eiger, also a good track, but if PD put in everyone's favourite track, we'd end up with people dotted everywhere and races would only have 2 or 3 people in them.

PD are going down the route of keeping everyone "satisfied" rather than a few people really happy. Once private rooms are implemented, this will all be a thing of the past, I sort of see this online as a beta (which sucks, since we paid for it), but PD will be getting feedback all the time from those playing online to make it a better experience in the future - I hope..

I totally agree that this rotation should be in place. I was just hoping for a little more "rotation" if you know what I mean, like switching up the PP thresholds at least. Keeping it at 500 / 600 / 750 will result in the same cars over again. 550 / 650 / 700 might have been a good "rotation" then keep the popular tracks Suzuka/Fuji and like you said throw in the random 3rd or maybe 4th track on each rotation makes perfect sense. All I wanted to stress was that the PP thresholds stayed the same which in my opinion is a bummer
