Nope, just completely unhealthy. White flour, chicken's eggs and whole milk. Still, I'm going to make it worse with maple syrup and ice cream.

A question for our American bretheren; do you guys have a special pancake iron, because I had problems turning some of them over without spilling the batter.

Not in my home, just a good old fashioned spatula and a bit of luck, the majority of the pancakes in my home come out deformed from the perfect circular ones

Oh, chicken's eggs? As opposed to ostrich eggs?

If you're ready to flip and you still have a lot of runny batter on the top, you might want to turn down the heat so that the whole pancake gets done more evenly.

All this talk of pancakes... Now I want to make okonomiyaki or go home to the Original Pancake House.

You want to get the pancake moving as soon as you can - wait 30s for the base to solidify, loosen the edges by running round with an angled spatula and then get under it. Get it moving about the pan with wrist action and then turn it when the mixture on top is solid.

Ah, its pancake day again! I will be indulging in the festivities later. Have my lemon juice and sugar already to go.

So here it is Merry Shrove Tuesday.....

Tonight, I'll be eating my pancakes with cinnamon sugar and Maple Syrup while watching the footie.

I tried something new today (No, I don't work at Sainsbury's); sausage and bacon in a pancake. It was really good, just thought I'd share.

Stupid sodding Delia Smith pancake recipe on the BBC website only made 7 pancakes, WTF! No where enough for me let alone both mini Evils on a Nutella binge. Had to finish them off with toast, I'm a such an amateur but I'm not bitter...had mine with jam.

I always have mine with lemon and either honey or syrup. Had some with honey just now since I prefer that.

Had them with strawberry bonbons as I'd ran out of raisins. Would not recommend.

I wouldn't have thought that anyone would substitute anything for bonbons in a pancake. Unless they wanted to experiment, but it doesn't sound like a good mix.

Well, I had 3 12" home made pancakes with Syrup and Cinnamon Sugar. Pancakes = happy Ross.

You bludgeoned your kids unconscious with a rock hard piece of bread just because you couldn't double a Delia recipe?! Monster.

Have the pancakes and jam got you so excited you had to come and post on here in a sugary mania? Hey, don't be a stranger. ;)

My kids are away with the grandparents so no pancakes for us. They lose their appeal when you're a grown up. :P

Pancakes that is...

Sounds tasty to be honest. I know pancakes with syrup and bacon is something they do in America but I've never tried it. That may have to change..
