Why would anyone want to delete this historical record? Sure it's full of smileys and stupid little commets, but it's also a years worth of conversations. It's closed but not forgotten. Even if it were deleted, what purpose would it serve? It would still be remembered. Unless you have read the entire thread, you really have no grounds for an educated opinion.

Have "you" read the whole thing? I didn't think so....

i don't like that thread ( ok pk i really hate it) but i don't like the idea of close that thread.

(i mean) in HRCWG is a stupid thread and waste of time to me (
and a lot of us) but for many others is a nice place.

we don't like the spam post,but if we close HMRCWG other thread will come out,just like this oand may be a lot more of that kind .

may all those spamers will go obligated to go to others threads and start theyr work (spam anywhere) just because we close theyr thread,house,space,room or how you wanna call it.

i know we have moderators checking and stoping that kind of persons,but don't you think is better let them alone in that place,doing this you will keep them out of others good threads.

i saw a good threads transformed to spam place,that is something you can't let happend,cuz if the the only good places we have here turn it to that ,we will don't have nowhere to go or nothing goood to read or learn.

but in the case of HRCWG let them post any kind of spam they want (just in that place) that place will be the trash place to anyone who want go there.

cuz if we close the thread they gonna spam the whole and that is something i really don't wanna see.

i don't like the way of afew members,but that don't give me reason (or reasons) to say they are bad or useless persons.

in the same way i can say that place is trash a waste or time,but that is just my owm opinion not yours.

so we don't like that thread, but a lot of peoples do,they like waste theyr time reading and posting there.

sometimes they need atention or just someone to talk,that is something totaly normal(imo),sometimes they use it to start a new friendship (just like you on the whole net) sorry is not my history this is the only place where i come daily) in that place you ever will find someone to talk no matter how stupid the theme are,that why they go there,they need friends+atention or just something to read and keep them ocuped.

may be a few of them have family problems and that is the only way they have to keep them away from the reality or just keep them doing something.( do you now how boring can you be alone in your home)

i think 80 percent of them are just childs trying to to get a good time,doing the only they know or like to do.

we need to educate them.

Ive noticed GTP has up and down periods. Most of the time it is usally nice and friendly, but then you get the bad times where threads are closed and deleted, people spam and members banned. For the last fiew days its been back to normal well in my eyes.

I took a little bit of effort, but yeah, you made some really good points. There's also an element that the human mind gets some jollies that post count is a treat or a status symbol regardless of how it's attained. There's other that could care less, they could care less about anything. There's also some respect that needs to be taught. Respect for someone elses generousity.

I was actually going to do a comprehensive study on that thread. Make a chart on the lives of threads. Deduce how popular a thread will be based on only its title... things like that. This thread could be very useful to help predict what threads will do what when. I personally would be very dissappointed if this thread got deleted (and yes, I know I'm a 'geek' or a 'nerd')
