I prefer the R10, although both are great to drive.

The only problem with the R10 is it is not accurate. The GT5 R10 has a 6 speed transmission when in real life and all of it's racing including both the R15 and R15 plus only had 5 speed transmissions. Kind of amazed that PD would make this type of mistake on such an iconic vehicle.

908- More powerful and quicker than the R10, but might be a bit of a handful on Sports-hards
R10- Easier to drive, although it might be difficult in the rain (due to the open cockpit), for me not worth the extra 750000 over the 908.

OR you could do as I did and buy a Mazda 787B:D

Why would you use Sports: Hard on the 908?

I almost bought an R10 (still may one day). I have a 908 and just bought the C60 Hybride, let me tell, that car is "THE BUSINESS", spent just under 4mil for it at the UCD, I like it a lot. It is currently going around the Indy in B-Spec, don't have to tell you what it is doing, even with that "one driver" who can't stay off the wall.

i have the 908 it burns racing softs like they are going out of style. def made me change my driving style to accommodate the earth moving torque. i want the r10 or the c60. open cockpit racecars are just so cool

908 is Much better thene the r10 And i meen MUCH! The Speed grip handling cant compare. R10 was disapointing

R10 can be a handful on a bumpy track like the Nurburgring, that said i really like the car. I might get a 908 this weekend to check out the difference myself.

This. Never driven the Pug but that R10 really annoys me because it's also very snappy. I think gentle touches is the way to go but even then it's a pain in the shirt. :grumpy:

Try fettling with the LSD and downforce balance, it becomes much more driveable when you change the focus to more understeer, don't worry it doesn't really have understeer after it when set-up properly, just better balanced and less oversteer.
Both are snappy in slow corners, just need a delicate touch (Jeff Gordon voice ;)).
Love both, right now I slightly prefer the Pug though, although I haven't driven my R10 that much yet, save it for an enduro.

Hi

I bought a Nissan 89c, just before the Online Dealer appeared, and right after that, I won the Minolta using it...

Tried then both cars in Indy 500 B Spec mode, but my B tards couldn't handle the race in this monsters...

I was grinding money to buy the R8, the R10 or the 908, the R8 seems pretty fast at Indy, but refuelling is so damn slow, I was wounddering if a diesel would have a fuel economy advantage, but it was so much money, I decided to grind a little more and bought a Formula GT, I also needed to Formula GT challenge.

Put it in Indy 500 with the B-tards and they swepped the opposition pretty easy.

I would like to know if the diesels are indeed more fuel efficient, since the time spent refuelling is so long in the game.

Tyre wear is bigger because of the huge amount of torque from this engines, almost the twice the torque of a R8...

i advice you to watch audi's "truth in 24" movie. and listen what allan mcnish, and tom kristensen say about peugeot 908 in the sebring2008..

i choose 908 because like mcnish says "it's got **** load of more front grip in the corners.."

And still I can drive way better and faster with the R10.

On Trial Mountain the 908 gets owned by the R10. The 908 is unhandble after 1.05

I use a controller, already tried to tune the car as much as I can, nothing helps. It is like driving in the rain with slicks with that car while you are actually on a dry track with racing softs.

You can try both cars. Just save a copy of your savegame to a USB stick. Then you can try them out and revert to your backup savegame if you dont like the one you purchased. :)

I prefer the Peugeot 908. Right out of the box it handled great for me. I love the way it sounds especially when you drop it down to 1st gear coming out of a tight hairpin turn 👍. I ran it on Le Mans and it flew. Needs a little tuning. I am using a wheel not sure how it handles with a controller. I have the Matmut version and love the chrome on top!

I also was privileged to see the Peugeot 908 at Road Atlanta in 2008. The car was amazing! PD did a good job with the sound.

One thing for sure, you are the first guy here saying he loves how a turbo diesel LMP sound like :dopey:

And fuel economy anyone has an opinion?

I've been hesitating for a long time if to buy 908 or R10... All that time been more into the R10 because of it's open cockpit, but then bought 908 afterall...
Must say that it surpised me in a good way. Handles great with racing softs for short races, has plenty of power, doesn't sound too bad and I love that chrome roof (pug total livery)!
Going to buy the R10 soon (I hope) to compare.

Just Bought the 908 PlayStation '10 model. Excellent car. Great Handling and shinetastic! Top Speed in it with maxed out tranny was 411 on the longest straight. 1km/hr faster than my bugatti.

I have all Premium LeMans cars and I think that the Peugeot is the best handling car... Audi with all aids off is too lively out of the corners...

Peugeot for me easily, I own both and when I drove the Audi for the first time I couldn't believe how unstable it felt in standard trim, the peugeot also feels a little slippery as well but in my opinion is the far superior car and if I could only choose one I would choose the Peugeot for sure.
