It's swedish or norwegian... and all i could make out of it was that it is supposed to compete with the merc M-class and BMW X5, there are 3 versions: a V6 by volkswagen (235hp), a V8 (350hp), and a turbo version (450hp).

Due somewhere 2002 (although I doubt that)

I wonder how Porsche will react when there are Buick Regals out there that will out-handle it on a skidpad?

Porsche is a lil' late in the SUV race... just when hatches are making a comeback, they launch an SUV, huh? It would have made more sense for them to make a station-wagon like Porsche (basically, that SUV, but much lower to the ground... I bet no1 with a Porsche SUV would EVER take it off the pavement anyway!)

GOD!!! Pleese tell me thats a Photoshop gag!
That thing is realy really ugly!
It looks like someone grafted the front end of a 911 on the the cabin from a BMW X5 (I think it's a 5, BMW's SUV anyway).
Why would Porsche get into the SUV market anyway? You don't see Ferarri or Aston Martin SUV's do you.

It does have a bit of a Santa Fe look to it. What puzzles me is the ground clearance on this thing, at less the Merc M-Class and BMW X5 look like SUVs that might be ok on a non-tarmac road.

I posted those because they are official porsche pictures, I think.

The girl is not my cup of tea, but I prefer brunettes, so whatever.

I think it might be Swedish, but I can't translate it. :(

Hey, maybe it's really just an Audi, and the company decided to make a Porsche version just to see how many people shell out serious money for it. Haven't GM and Ford done that with those Escalade / Navigator things?

And the model's not the typical one you see in Porsche photos. Maybe they decided to go with someone who looks a bit less "fantasy" and, possibly, viewed as more "obtainable." You know, kind of like this Porsche.

I'm just rambling. It seems pretty twisted to me, though. Maybe in seven years or so they'll come out with the Porsche 5-door hatch.

That's a different car.....the SUV is called the Cayenne and nowhere on that other car does it say Cayenne. Besides they look mush different.
