Last year a 1:57.27 running on Proxes.
This year with the aero on heat cycled Continental slicks 01:57.6. I'm now running aero bits (front splitter, rear underbody tray, rear diffuser, and Sard rear wing. I still need to even it out a bit as I'm still taking too much of a speed hit. I was about 3 mph slower into the carousel, about 4 mph slower coming back before braking into T10. And maybe about 3 mph down the front straight. So my lap times were close despite the straight-line hit. The downforce really helps for 1-2-3. It was the first time I ever hit the apex of T2 at triple digit speed. And that's a pretty exciting complex even when you're going considerably slower.
To be fair, this year it was also very hot and humid, even in the morning sessions and it probably took a toll on both power/speed in the morning and grip in the afternoon.
For the photos, I owe it all to Jean-Francois Leclerc. The guy just takes amazing shots and from angles you never knew possible.
A few more to highlight...
