@ GTmotion

Yes I'm talking to you. Your setup looks great, but the tv seems way to high. No way you could finish a endurance race in that position without hurting your neck.
I couldn't race like that, but if your fine with it's obviously okay with me. With all that great equiptment, I find it a waste putting the tv up that high.

@ Mars Atacks

Exactly how I pictured it!

I really think it is mostly the angle, the TV isn't that high, when I play I don't even need to turn my neck up my eyes just glance up towards the TV.

The TV was mounted well before I had the computer underneath it, I actually moved my entire desk over there specifically so I could play GT5 with my G25 (which was originally bought for PC sim racing). Now I am loving the setup and my neck doesn't strain at all.

I am 5'11 btw and my eyes are level with the Samsung logo on the bottom of the TV.

Not mine, but my friend built this-

That is awesome!!

Mine: I have a PC & PS3 hooked up to it. Was playing GT5 in it pretty much non stop until Perpetuum Online released.

I don't like it. I sit on the chair, place the blanket on my lap with the DFGT on top to prevent my legs getting hurt, and then just reach for the pedals. It sucks, I know.

And sorry for the quality, phones aren't good for these pictures.

TV tray, huh? Is that thing stable?!

I should have put this in the CHEAP Cockpit thread aye? lol

Yeah, its pretty stable suprisingly. At first it was because of the races and the cars werent that strong. I had to add water weights on it when I got stronger cars and decided to up the force feedback to 10.

Still stable, even on rally races.

More like man caves for me :) ....

I'll post pics of my R-Pod mkII in situ when complete

Not quite a "cave", but I'm very happy with it. Bench purchased new for $18, assembled in less than 10 minutes. Works perfectly, and I have everything I need within reach.

amp mounted to rig

its pretty solid rig and so much fun, just need to paint it up and make it look a bit neater lol had it done for about 2 months now and lovin it.

worked out fairly cheap in the end and was very happy with the end result. let me know if anyone else wants to make one i can give you a link to the place with the plans.

Leg
Here's mine, been playing GT5P, NFSShift, Dirt 2, GTR2 and more recently F1 2010. Got GT5 today, cant get the damned clutch working for 2nd gear properly but will come back to that tomorrow.

Made the wife park her 4x4 outside to free space for the cockpit. That went down well but my needs were greater!👍

My bloke cave! :)

AWESOME Man Pretty cool
i had wheel stand pro my self it's easier to handle but yours ... woo-ow Beyond :)

My stand, not ready 100%

I'm playing in my living room sitting on the couch (that's why I don't have a bucket seat)
I have a fullHD Pioneer Kuro projector, projecting on 100" screen, Yamaha AV amp & big 5.1 speaker system

Next photos from my warehouse (I put the stand there when I'm not playing)

I made my stand by myself
It is fully adjustable (height, distance wheel-pedals, incline of the wheel)

Let's add to this thread, I saw some great creations already.

It all started with this self made riggie, easy to store in a corner om the living room, and easy to grab for a quick drive.

Upgraded it for a real seat:
20100531_Playseat_(5).JPG

Mounted a shelf to have the chat and MSN close by. Added some bike fasteners to keep everything in place, included the SixAxis for extra functions. Btw, the drink's only there for the photo.
20100730_Playseat_(3).JPG

Btw, the lady doesn't mind, she even enjoys watching some races every now and then.

Are the bottles of water for weight/stability? That's inspired! Way to make it work!

For BOTH :P The table is more stable than it was originally and has more weight into it. I've put some cardboard underneath my wheel to make have it on a better angle just like when you mount it on a playseat. It works wonders. lol

I got kicked out of the living room by a combination of the wife and a 3year old son. I have since taken over the spare room.

Whoa s/he could have made a killing on rx7club with those interior pieces...but that's way cooler than the pro setup s/he could have purchased from the proceeds!

I sold my seats but maybe I'll do this with what's left of the interior...

great thread and some awesome set ups you guys have! 👍
