When there are 4 cars to win,is there a way of choosing or is there a defined order that they will be won, or is it random ?

I hate it when i put in all the effort and i win the worst of the four !!!!

there are some ppl who think they have found a pattern, some ppl even tested it, but it is really 100% random

It's totally random, but there is a save/load trick that you can do so that effectively you can choose [but not on enduros]...
Do a search for the save trick for more info.

Welcome to GTP!

I know the save trick. I have tried it myself and it works great. You have to have two different memory cards and then have at least an 11 point lead when you go into the last race. Save the game right before you go into the last race and then when you go into the last race you just exit out of it and you automatically win the car because no matter if you came in last place
in that race you would still be one point ahead and in the lead. If you don't get the
car you want then just re-load the game and exit out of the last race again and then see if you get your favorite car that time. You can keep doing this indefinitely. If you had extra memory cards you could even save the game with various cars to the other cards and then buy them onto the main card when you are done.
I did that on one race and got the Opal Astra plus the VW Bug Cup car and the VW Lupo cup car. I made sure to have the Opal on my main card and then just bought the cheaper cars from the
other
cards when I was done. I was also able to choose my favorite car on another race and just recently got the Gillet Vertigo. That drives so nicely :o) This evening I am attempting to win the GT race the same way so I can choose the Toyota GT One. I am so glad someone mentioned that trick on the web
page where I read it. I don't think it would have occurred to me on my own if I hadn't read about first. It is a great trick.

The same guy also mentioned there are the flashing circles underneath the cars and he said if you click on the "X" button while the circle underneath the car that you want is lit that you can pick the one you want. I am not sure this is true. I have tried that and sometimes I get the car I want and other times I don't. I am never sure if I get the car the car I want if it is because I clicked the button at the right time or it the game is just randomly selecting and there really is no way to pick the car.

I got a trick for you guys:

First the 9th race or 4th race save it

Then finish the 5th or 9th race or skip it ( affect winning percentage)

After that you ll ge tthe prize for the race and series money

The nwhen the four shadows of cars appear listen to the music when the GT3 circle on the bottom of each ar slows down jus ta bit press o nteh one you want

this works 90 percent depending on your timing.

There is a way, after the money is like, cashing in, hold either of the buttons, the x, square or whatever, and whatever is on where u press the button, thats the car u get. So if its top, press triange, bottom, X, left, square, and right circle, it works. I dunno, if u hold it or not, i just rapidly press it, but thats the way. After countless hours trying to figure out how the pattern was. I had got hella when i did those long races and didnt get the car i wanted. So yeah, there is a way

Now that I am approaching around 45%, I am starting to get the feeling that I am always getting the worst of the 4 cars every single time.

Does it not have something to do with the (skill) steering assistance level?

Can anyone tell me, or remember what the first car was that they won in the "GT world Champs" the first 10 series race in AMATURE league. I won a Nissan Z concept, After all that effort I was highly pissed off.

The (X, Square, Triangle, O) button theory makes sense, I'm gonna give it a Shot,

Thanx TEZ

you don't need 2 memorey cards for the trick but you need at least a 10 ponit lead. you just save after the 9th or 4th race then skips the 5th or 10th race and if you don't get the car you wan't you just go to load game on the main menu and load your game. you'll start at the 5th or 10th race and just repeat this till you get the car you want

what, it does work, u just have to do it right or whatever. It works for me every time. i always get that corvet car and sell it in one of those ametuer races, or that vertigo car in one of those too. just keep pressing the button to where the car is, it works

I used to think that the car you get was "choosable"... to some degree, but now I don't believe in such voodoo. I now believe that the roulette is minorly affected by the driver's performance in the race. Whenever I did good in a race, it seemed, for the most part, that I was getting good cars. I don't mean that if you smoke the competition by five laps without scratching or denting your car (even though GT3 doesn't show damage) that you're guaranteed a good car. I mean that if you race well, you have good chances. In my opinion, your performance affects the roulette 33% of the time.

lol, i'm tellin the truth, it works, i don't see how u guys don't get it, keep tryin, after u get ur cash, press something other than X

Random...;)
Unless you have a 100% success rate, Random.

i do, thats what i had said before
It works for me every time. i always get that corvet car and sell it in one of those ametuer races, or that vertigo car in one of those too
yeah, so thats how i make most of my money, its a pretty easy race for the 5 races, for 355,000 dollars, i don't think ur doin it right

I don't think there is any "x" trick, and it has been proven before...you could also have been thinking that you wanted a certain car but then suddenly changed your mind when you got a different car...:) I don't have a link to the thread where someone tested, but it's there somewhere.

Having a look at all this, I feel that the save trick is the best way to get the car that you want.
having read quite a bit on this subject, i think its safe to conclude that its RANDOM. leave it at that.

Thanx for all the feedback.

Time to get some kickass cars !!!!!

could i get any help here, its proven correctly, dodge, try again, after u save it on the last race, and the money is cashed in, just keep hitting square, see what u get, then, again, load the game, and keep pressing triange.....

feedback

anybody actually, try it

That is true you could do the trick with only one memory card but I always use 2 and save to both cards. I like a back-up just in case somene accidently saves over one of them.

So what your saying RacerTez is that the 4 different buttons SQ,X,CIRCLE,TRI, corespond to one of the cars on the prize list?.if this is so awesome i hate it when your not in the position to to the save load trick and you just have to take waht they give you for a prize car.

I'm still certain it's random and Tez's trick was just coincidence, I tried it earlier and like all other methods it failed...

And JiF, where abouts in North Shore, I used to live there :)

Now I live the other side of the world :D

TEZ

I tried it Last night, I cant put my finger on it, but there is some button combination trick to it, Normally in the past the GT circles that circulate under the cars stop @ the far car directly in front, I now pushed the O button and the GT circles stop to the right of the screen and I won a pretty awesome car.(Vauxhall touring car)

I will agree with you TEZ, There is a trick there, I will keep trying and I will keep you posted.

Please will everyone else try this out, and please post some more theory’s. I think with enough feedback and testing, we can find the pattern.

Thanks Clay, anymore willing to try, its a waste of time doing it the other way

......always looking to find a way to make a racer all he can be

(that was gay)
