I rarely run Indy cars but I did last night and I saw something that I had not noticed before. I ran the Chevy Road Car and at the end of the race when the final standings were shown, it was all American flags. Has it always been that Chevys only run with other Chevys and Hondas only run with other Hondas? There is never a mixed field with both manufacturers?
The reason I noticed it this time was I was battling with the #98 car which has always been an Andretti Honda has it not? And I also thought that Scott Dixon's #9 car was in the field which is also a Honda.
That's why I said at the start "not sure what options you have on the standard PS4, but if you can"There are no options to enhance anything on a standard PS4/Slim. I also know setting the system to 720p won't do anything for PCARS2, the game just downscales its 1080p output to 720p if you do that.
Aren't the flags for the country of citizenship of the driver?
What was the outcome, did you buy it?@Wolfe @Mr Grumpy thanks for your answers!
What was the outcome, did you buy it?
Yup, one thing that they added and made unchangeable for no reason.and even with deadzone set to zero I still have the impression there is one
What you using to control the car, controller or wheel? That race is hard anyway, just threw's you in, once you do that, set up what ever, what too.
First few races are fairly hard, but you will soon start enjoying, with all live track settings.
The default settings just feel weird.
The default McLaren settings were arrived at after input from McLaren's Test Driver.
I'm not sure why settings would feel weird, but I find it takes me quite a long time to adjust to the feel of each car in the game. I suggest not playing the game until it has fully updated and start with a low power front engine rear drive car. In my view the best cars to start with are the Ginetta Junior followed by the Ginetta GT5 (a higher powered Junior) or if you want to start with vintage cars - the Ford Escort RS 1600 (Racing or Road) followed by the BMW 2002 SW. These cars react in a way which will give you time to understand the physics of the game.
I got a question about the AI driver that takes over when you swap seats with them. So im in the endurance series and i do plan on doing the 24 hours of lemans (like the actual 24 hours) and i just wanna know that if the AI will be smart enough to pit when fuel starts to get really low or if it starts to rain will they come in and throw on wet tires (vice versa if it starts to dry up after having rain tires on will they come in and throw on slicks?) I also will like to know what's the pace of the AI when you swap seats with them. If im doing pretty good and running 3rd or better for example i hope they can keep that pace up while im away because i would be pretty annoyed if they start lose positions while they in the driver seat then I gotta make that back up when i get back in the car.
I've done a lot of offline races with A.I. co driver. They usually pit on their own just make sure pit strategy is set up correctly. However there are times on long tracks (Le Sarthe, Nordschleife) where they'll miss their window to pit for fuel because the track is so long so they'll screw you over that way. Also they eat through tires a lot faster than you so I tend to babysit their stints anyway, so they don't mess up my race strategy. I make them go a lap or two longer on worn tires by setting pit strategy to Tires-None, then give them tires when I'm ready for them to pit. For when it starts raining, if you have pit strategy set to 'recommended' he'll pit for wets when the track gets wet enough. If you force him to drive on slicks when track calls for wets he'll keep pitting until he gets the tires he wants.
Their pace is on par with other A.I., he's not going to be fast as you
Yes there's a driving line that you can switch to all the time, just cornering, or completely off which helps with tracks you don't know. It gives you a decent idea of corner speeds and braking points.Hello, I am considering buying PC2 on xbox, but I have a question: is there any help built in the game to show you the breaking points?
The help exists in GT, Forza and F1 games, but I'm not sure for PC2.
I don't have enought gaming time to learn each corner on every track and car combination.
Thank you,
