Reminds me of the new GRID to be honest with more a realistic feel? Idk. I hope theres a lot they will touch up before they release because so far it looks like a dumbed down PC2. Its the handling look, polish and movements, just look a little weird. The new cars look impressive though cant wait to tare up GT4 class.

Own, upgrade and customize hundreds of...
:)

...elite-brand road and race cars
:nervous:

I mean, I see Chevrolet, Dodge, and Ford are in, but that choice of phrasing and what we've been shown (and Driveclub director Rustchynsky's involvement) are concerning for those of us who like to drive slow cars fast and/or old cars on the edge. @IanBell?

The driving feels alot like grid 2019 :banghead:

Please to god i hope they didn't 🤬 up this game by going the arcade racer style :(

Looks exactly what they did.

And I kind of understand it. There's a big slice of the market for them to take since it sells more (I think) than simulation types of racing games, and atm there's no arcade "game in town" imo.

Unfortunately I don't really like arcade type of games. Only Ridge Racer Type 4 and Midnight Club have a special place iny heart.

Still, I'm willing to wait and see how it actually plays. If it's possible to have Pc2 physics while actually racing with all the shenanigans turned off, I might buy it.

New 935! Oh yeah! Saw it, bought it!

Shift was great, and beginning of the vide gives a real Need For Speed classics vibe, so I guess from this point, NFS can be completely forgotten by me. Let's see track and car lists, to decide if this GT7 killer for me. Please be there Lexus, the only thing that holds me!

The GameRiot video says you start out in "Road E" class vehicles in career mode, and a Honda Civic was mentioned as an example.

The video also mentions the game has a GT86 and Nissan Skyline (R34?).

16 cars on track? I hope this is just for the sake of that one gameplay not Upper limit for this game... I still hope i can do LeMans 24h in this game...

Interestingly they didn't show rallycross – the best part of PCars 2 game. We had few promising games 5 years earlier and they went a very wrong way: GT became weird iRacing wannabe for teenagers, Assetto Corsa sticked to boring GT3 and PCars predictable going to Forza clone after acquisition by Codemasters.

As was mentioned if it's Shift 2 with better physics then I'm definitely in. Also looks like they may have done something I was hoping to see done in other games with having only the base car available and making it upgradeable to racing specs. Wonder if it'll work like shift's works packages?

"Up to 31 AI" in open lobbies, presumably the same should apply to custom single-player events.

It's not developed by Codemasters though. I'm aware Codemasters bought SMS a few months ago but I don't think Codemasters have had any involvement in the physics

Perhaps, but the gameplay looks more like Grid than PCars 1 or 2 to me.

The game may be enjoyable like Grid and Shift but i'm really not buying into the full-sim tweet, i'll believe it when i see it.

31 AI 👍

Good to see custoimisation back in.

If this game have the 2002, Ford Escort, etc., thats a win for us.

Hope we can select AI, I'd like to delete the Audi TT fiom my GT4 races. UNLESS, that TT is in a different class(TCR?).

Is that a Maserati GT or Quattroporte GT4?

So on Twitter @IanBell is advising the game retains the simulation experience (better physic etc). What puzzles me then is why SMS would choose to release game play footage that suggests the game is more like Forza than PC2.

Contrast PC2 chase cam:

With PC3:

That's an arcade game.....unless there is a separate sim-focused sandbox game along side this in the vein of Project Cars 1 & 2?

Do SMS not "test out" their trailers on Project Cars fans before releasing them to the public? This really is a bad trailer. I just re-watched the PC2 trailer. If both trailers came out today - I would want to buy PC2, not PC3.

I'm not just looking at the graphics , but the PC2 trailer actually sells the features of the game.

I'm really hoping the game is way better than the trailer.
