Likely May 12, but I was hoping for 5th. In the past, I've seen games with a release week: Tuesday US, Thursday UK, Friday Japan. PCars "release week" looks to start at the end of a calendar week.

@Jordan hello, sorry to bother you but I have a little request. Do you think you could post on the news section that Project CARS has finally gone gold? Thanks, I think it could help with its release. Thanks, again.
Try Site Support Forum. Worked for me last time. 👍

Just a note about this guys. Changing the region alone will not unlock the game early. The unlock time is solely based on what region you buy the game from. Buying from the U.S. Xbox store and changing the region on your Xbox to UK WILL NOT unlock the game early, it will still unlock at the U.S. date.

For the U.S. guys to get it early you will have to buy it from the UK, European or the Australian Xbox Live stores
Have you tried personally?

Yep, my whole Xbox one collection is digital. I'm from Australia and I've bought from nearly all the stores. U.S., Singapore, India, Russia. So trust me when I say the digital game will unlock on the release date of the store you buy it from, NOT what region you have you Xbox set to.

I think it would make more sense to talk about it in the next GTPlanet Community Spotlight (if there is one). It would be very strange to see a news only about Project CARS (The news about Project CARS with the GTPlanet Livery was probably an exception since it is directly related to GTPlanet). Anyway, we'll see.

Okay, thank you for that information. As for billing address does it ask you for that or do you just pay with your normal card and it works?

Yeah it will ask you for a billing address so you will need to put in a legitimate address for the country you are trying to buy from. But you should be able to use your CC, just note some work and some don't (that's what we've found here in Aus, CC's are a bit hit and miss). If your CC doesn't work, you can buy MS credit from the Microsoft site and do it that way instead

Add me on Psn. I'm a really clean racer and hopefully I see you guys on the track. PSN name is EliteKilla29 just like my user name on here.:gtpflag:
Why don't you join or GT3 World Tier Championship Series team. Check out or forum. We got 4 slots left. We race on Sundays at 2pm est. And this goes for anybody. Where happy to have ya!

The main tire guy, AJ, just posted a 16 page FFB tuning guide update. Hopefully you guys will be able to get your hands on it in due time, so you could really tune it to your own preference.

It's just a draft for now, it will be ready (i would think) for release and no doubtly will be posted here many times.

wow! thanks so much for this! Hope you don't mind but I have a few questions :)

1. Assuming I switch regions, pre-order the LE from a European store now and once released race like hell on it as much as possible. When the game officially launches here in the US (12th) can we change our consoles back to US region if we so wish?

2. After switching back to US region would we need to re-download the game from the US store to play it?

3. Additional content like patches, season pass and future DLC's - would we need to switch the region again and get them from whatever store we bought the game from originally?

Yeah I thought the same too but you can't blame me for trying. :)

What if everyone in this thread changes their status to "PCars has gone GOLD!" Would that help? Am I too much of a dreamer?

Also could the thread be renamed to "...[Coming May 2015...]..."?

I love that some americans here are so devoted to playing that they will go out of their way to buy from another country for a game they can get a few days later. Great effort!
That's actually what a lot of Europeans and Aussies do. So why not us now?

With Xbox One you can play any game with your console set to any region, it's completely region free! No need to re-download and all DLC is region free, so just say you buy the game from the UK store, any DLC you buy on the U.S. store will work fine 100% 👍

Here in Australia we have to pay a ridiculous price for video games, so being able to do this is sooooo good. I pretty much buy all my games from the U.S. and the Russian Xbox live stores
