Nah, it is your imagination. The game is perfect and the crashes are a feature.

There are people here who fought so hard PD's blind apologists only to became SMS' apologists. Kinda funny.
I don't think anyone is denying bugs exist. They will get fixed in due time. Some people can tolerate them/have them happen less frequently than others. I'm not sure why we need to have pages of discussion about this. There is a thread for venting already.

I just answered to people saying I was exaggerating showing a lot of crashes reports around the interwebs.

For me, the discussion is over. Carry on.

@wowbaggerBR - I understand your frustration with the bugs in the game - especially considering it's development path - one may have assumed with so many testers it would be relatively 'major' bug free.
Your argument would hold up if in fact SMS hadn't actually done anything about the bugs yet but as it is your argument is a little flawed as they have actually addressed the major bugs prior to the DLC release - it's called patch 1.4. The fixes are there we are just waiting for Sony/MS to approve and the patch will be released.

I do hope the 1.4 patch also address the random freezes and black screen crashes ( sometime when on track, sometime in the menu ) - PS4 + DS4 + disc version.

I've never had a freeze or game crash (PS4) in Project CARS yet - touch wood. :scared:

Many people have (including me) and I can see where wowbagger is coming from. All the points he argues are valid and I don't think he's exaggerating. I think he's basing it on his own opinion and experience as well as information gathered by reading about the same things happening to other people.

The bugs are annoying when they happen but... at this point I'm having too much fun with the game to care.👍

35 hours in and ive not even been on Willow Springs yet hehe.

Just started GT4 in career in the Ginetta on 80% and i had a great close battle with the top 3 at Dubai....do you have to come top 3 in the championship to get to the next region of GT4? I finished 4th at the end and had to do the Asia section again..

Best driving and racing game I've ever played (well, joint with Race Driver 3 on the racing front but it would eclipse it with a few better online options).

Worst for bugs in a driving or racing game. My PS4 is crashing at least 3-4 times a day and the bug where I can't join qualifying in a lot of rooms is tiresome.

EDIT: I've seen from a @wowbaggerBR post that redownloading may fix the crashes. Will try today

Pulled the trigger on an i7 desktop, hopefully the GTX970 card will make it a gaming monster. As I said I've no major complaints with XB1, I just wanted a new PC to make music. It might not elevate me to the master race but will hopefully help me to master this racing game.

Welcome to the master race! Now you can look down on those console peasants with the rest of us :)

I do own an Xbox myself and it's nice and all but I mostly use it as a media center cause it's too slow for anything other than playing FIFA properly. Still, for the price, it's not bad at all.

I've always kept my gaming to consoles, and PC's for working etc, but having seen (and drooled a LOT over ) somebody playing on a triple monitor setup, my plan is to build myself a top spec gaming computer over the winter for next year .... I think I'll have to have somebody keep checking up on me though or they're likely to find a dessicated corpse with wheel still in hand after a while

Looking forward to Forza 6 and hope the rumours about weather and night racing are true. However I wouldn't dream of looking down on console racers. I've been there myself and know how annoying it can be.

@Yellowbeard this will be my last silly purchase for awhile, may have to raid the savings account for holidays and emergencies from now on. I also sneaked a curved 55" ultra HD telly onto the shopping cart, that's all the monitor I need for the time being. This is still the ideal though:

I was just joking. I understand not everyone has money to keep up with the new PC hardware, so having a pre-built console that devs have to scale-down to properly is an acceptable choice.

That's why I'm taking my time to put one together myself, I've already blown most of my 'mad money' budget for the year, The fact I had to miss out on a long weekend at Oulton Park for the BTCC race meeting at the weekend has allowed me to buy the T3PA-PRO pedals (when they're back in stock in a few days :nervous:) so I think I'm best off getting a gaming PC a bit at a time so it's less noticable on the bank statements

Sorry to get on my high horse, I should've realised. My judgment was impaired from losing all those zeroes from my bank balance at once. Let's grind those lackeys and peons into the dirt together (j/k j/k don't kill me :)).

GT6 was very glitchy when it first released on the PS3. Random blackouts and shutdowns. And GT6 still has bugs.
It happens.

For those on the PS4, You can try rebuilding the data base, I don't have PCARS but this does occasionally help with other games.

Welcome to the darkside:sly:. I have the same setup and it is a gaming monster. I recommend additional cooling on the CPU, a Hyper 212 Evo for under $40 or so will do the trick or you can go watercooled for under $100. Other than that makes sure the case has good airflow and lots of fans. Heat is the enemy, cooling is your friend. I have no issues at all with CPU temps with just air cooling but the i7 4790 is barely breaking a sweat with most current games.

That combo should work great. I too still have an XB1 (and PS3/360) and will consider FM6. I always enjoyed the FM series but lately I've switched my focus to the PC sims, SOOO many good ones available today. I have always owned both consoles and work/gaming PC's over the past... well...forever

I'm getting a slightly lower powered 4690 and a Noctua Slim cooler built into a rackmount case as I'm harbouring an insane hope of taking my PC gigging one day. I'm hoping the 93% efficient PSU should help to keep the waste heat to a minimum.

Dig the new Aishwarya avatar by the way. 👍

Well I just wasted 10 hours of my life doing part of the 24 hours of Le Mans; my PS4 and its s:censored: software decided to show a black screen after suspending the game and putting the console in sleep mode. Hopefully SMS adds a mid-race save feature...

Oh that's just bad.

The Racing Icons pack still isn't showing up on the US Playstation Store.
