Really easy setup, this. But the mobility (instability) of it keeps me from applying force to the structure instead of just steering

Hi @Zeitgeist
Interesting construction that you have 👍.
So I assume your name zeitgeistmusic isn't only a name ... it's a drumstand that you use :lol:.

@coryclifford
Don't think it's a snarestand - wouldn't there be a lever to tighten the claws ?

And just to take part in that wonderful show, here is my rig :

True. I am one half of a two man ‘band’. My house is a homestudio gone wild :)

I’m having sooo much fun. It’s a drumpad holder but the top broke. They’re not that sturdy under the chrome. So I sawed the top off and got some plumber’s fitting instead

The bit about not applying force to the structure stands, though. I feel I’m now a more accomplished driver for not causing the stand to move. Just turn the wheel, not the whole darn thing. QED when I broke it ;) Still learning 24/7

Looking good mate!:cheers:

I hit the clutch and brake at the same time a lot (big feet) so I think it's time to adjust the pedal plates to try and make more room. I saw a Playseat Brake Pedal for them that's intriguing too:

I'll likely never use the clutch but I'm thinking that dual plate will give a bit more resistance without me voiding the warranty.

No one likes a bragger.

I don't think my racing slippers are helping the situation but I feel a bit daft putting some skinny trainers on to drive... It'll be gloves and helmet next.:lol:

It's the extra bit of resistance I'm after really as I'm still way too heavy on the brake and getting impatient trying to learn it. Seriously thinking about the GTEye spring again, even with possibly voiding the warranty. It was that good. Amazing feel.

Socks here. Barefoot only in a heatwave. But I’ve a cat. Inside the pedalbox it’s a delicate mess of telephone wiring and relais, so hair and dust are a major problem. All the sets I’ve had, have needed regular cleaning and then repairing at some point. Anyone know a diy way to get the box sealed off?

@Zeitgeist
No pedalbox, no cat, no idea ... isn't there anything cats don't like to place it near your rig ?

@bone_tone
I've only been on Kudosprime and Stats Site once for general info and testing but have no real interest somehow. Thanks for posting that ranking chart though - always nice to see such results.
Your second chart made me think you'd probably try to achieve this v :

I strongly believe in ya, mate ;).

Though being adviced otherwise ( hey @JacksHerer ) I finally couldn't resist to race on Mt. P in the Mustang yesterday - for the challenge it is, putting my braveness to the test :scared:.
I expected the worst but all of the 5 races have been astonishingly well-mannered and clean 👍, with good fun and good results in the end.
Each grid was a complete mix from S to D, so I assume not many have raced here at all.
Out of interest I watched through the replays to see many of the lower rated people with really poor car handling searching for the
racing line ( not looking down on them ) and I again got aware how much everyone of us has achieved. Something we surely can be proud of. :cheers:

3 QM Exiles in the top 25 in race A today - @ROCKET JOE , @Nonno Calvy , and @Mwerte :-

Please ignore my time of 2:36.xxx :O (was still good enough for a 3rd place, followed by a 2nd place though) :)
Thanks for quote bone-tone ! :cheers:
Yesterday morning when I tried I was ninth, I did it with help countersteer, without it was at 33.020. :D
Anyway I was pleased !
The Mustang is a car of our times to drive with gas light and steering ready for corrections, I had fun and I wanted to do some races, but I had to go out and remained an exploit without victories :guilty:

@ROCKET JOE I saw my name mentioned, saw your picture

and thought you were grassing on me for using CSA to temporarily get in the top ten at bathurst :odd:

Doh! :banghead:

:D

I regret not entering the race, I felt bad enough using CSA in qualifying that I couldn't live with myself to race with it on. :gtpflag:
