Hi fellas, just checked for an update for our Geezer race at 7:15pm Eastern or 1915 hrs military and saw that I was mentioned on this thread. Thanks guys for the kind words, I certainly appreciate them,, I really do. Last Sunday for nordschleife51 (Eric) races I was a bit under the weather and did not join in,but typically I'm there for the fun. Never very competative but there nonetheless for the good natured banter we Geezers toss back and forth in the chat - on the chat,, it's a crying shame there's only room for 8 in the chat lobby's and opening a second chat is sort of OK but still hampers the total fun if everyone could be in on the conversations Discourse is "sort of" a way around that but not optimum. Anyway, it is what it is,, we'll have to see if one day PSN and GTS can get together to help us out. No,, I'm not forgetting we're not paying alot ($50 US per year) to use the servers so we need to be happy we've got what they give us and HOPE it gets better. Re the bumping in the races,,, I know there's many times someone gets smacked in the rear because the guy in front may brake just a tad early - ME 'cause I've tried and tried but simply cannot drive as deep into the corner as many can and still get around a corner, so I check my mirror's and try to avoid someone tapping me and sending me off course as best I can. Sometimes, if a fellow racer is VERY close I'll try to get the hell out of their way,, but that doesn't always work out either. In my mind I would think the faster/quicker drivers know they can outrun me so why not wait for the straight then pass,, I know the quicker driver has moved close so I'm going to yield the position just as quick as it's feasible I move out of the way. Bumping - I don't like it,, period but I understand how it happens AND I believe driving in bumper cam view (which most of you use),, it is hard to see another driver who may be beside you,, so collisions happen. I use the chase cam so can see just about everything around me. I don't want to hit another driver and would rather fall to the back of the pack and just try to hang close for a good finish. Sometimes I get lucky and that's good enough for me. Looking forward to seeing those of you who can join the Geezer events,, we DO have fun!!

Good to hear from you again, pal.

It must be in the hundreds for the races we've had and I've enjoyed every single one of them. Hopefully, we'll share a track again soon.👍

If I drink light beer, nothing happens. In fact, I sober up!

My issue will be not knowing the new tracks like I do the old ones. That's the trick to proper tailgating.

I've almost decided it's time to move on from GT6. It's going to be the same "new" events until they shut it down, and they became boring pretty quickly. I've been playing Uncharted for the last two days, and I'm already 80% done. I might get the Star Wars Battlefront bundle version because it's the same price, and play that until this Drivehub thing shows up after I order it. Then, time to drive! :mischievous:

Never thought of it like that but now that you mention it, he did help me out a few times with nudges on the straights if I was slow. He could have passed me any time he liked, but no, let's persecute Digtater for a bit longer.

(I just remember him saying he was doing a lot of hours when he got the new job.)

Finding it quite ironic that on the last day of February we get new Scapes dedicated to...Bloody SNOW!!!:lol::lol:

Took this pic 10 minutes ago from my kitchen window, put the DS4 in so you know it's not an image I googled...

Bollock_Cold.jpg

Don't remember it being like this since the 70's. How are the rest of the Brits here fairing? All the shops are shut, no public transport & certainly no planes from Glasgow airport zooming over my house. Quite peaceful actually for a week night. If my boiler wasn't on the blink & I had got a loaf of bread today I'd be a happy chappy. 👍

Hey that looks great ... enjoy it as long as it lasts. Never thought of snow in Glasgow, hm  !

But ... while you've been taking a picture of "SNOW", I've been taking one of "JOE" :

And now everybody ...

Snowed nearly all day in Cambridge, but not really settled much. -6 degrees now though :nervous:

@Rizla I saw your neck of the woods getting a met office red warning (only the 2nd time ever) for the weather and it looks like you're in for a rough few days. Keep warm dude. Maybe a few drams for some central heating?:p

Currently -6 (-12 with windchill...) in the midlands and about 4" of snow so far. The doc's have got me on house arrest so there's going to be a window between me and the outside world till it warms up again. It's nasty out there.

I hate the cold but I love how my garden looks as good as everyone else's when it snows.:D

The kids hate it as it's dry (powder) snow that doesn't stick together for snowmen and snowballs. Had to laugh when I heard that on the weather. The wrong type of snow...:boggled:

Nice job on the time.👍

The red warning stuff is new on me. Don't really know what it means. Said on the news tonight it was the first time ever but I take that all with a pinch of salt, was a lot colder when I was a young skelper. If yer in the Midlands then not a kick in the arse fae me & same script. Stay warm my friend. 👍

Tiring. 13 days in a row!

Ouch! That's brutal.

I know everyone has to earn a living but the idea is to not kill yourself doing it.

Look after yourself mate.

The red warning is danger to life and it looks like you're in for a lot of disruption in the next couple of days. You're right about it being the first time too it's been issued as I've just seen the news. Dumb tabloids said it was the 2nd time but Glasgow is getting its arse kicked judging by the pictures. They even showed a clip from Perthshire where deer were moving into the towns and cities. Mental. They're not taking it lightly, that's for sure.

...and I'm warm.👍 The combi boiler is working overtime and I fully intend sitting on it till this is over. I keep looking longingly at my new car through the window though. So near yet so far!
