Light snow all day for about 6" total and -4 (-11 windchill). So I've read anyway. It's 24c in my house and I'm sat in shorts and a T shirt. Almost tropical.

In the room where my race rig is set up it's 25c at the moment (it's 6:20 AM here) and we have an expected top of 32c today. It would probably be considered a heatwave for you guys but for us it's very pleasant and a long way off being hot. I'm glad we don't get the low temps you get .

That would be seriously uncomfortable for us and we'd all be moaning about it. Us pommies love moaning about weather as we see everything it can throw at us.

Luckily, we're normally quite temperate with the jet stream so close but I think it's gone on holiday this year. The funny thing is that if the polar vortex didn't happen, we'd be in the middle of our Atlantic storm season instead. Green and pleasant land my arse!

Thursday night is a 2 mile jaunt to the lads place where 3 PS3's & 3 big TV's rule the roost. Last month for us auld reprobates to get in some quality drink driving done.

The weather is so bad the taxi service knocked me back. Hells Bells!

The one benefit of the bad weather has been more racing time!

Been having some luck at the C races this week - the longer races suit my steady style, and I've picked up lots of places with others going off into the scenery.

At Bathurst and Willow Springs I kept getting matched against A and S DR drivers, and was finishing ahead of some of them. Got my best ever B rating finish of a second place at Bathurst, and my DR has gone up by 5000 points this week alone - I'm hoping that I'm not going to hit A rating anytime soon .

I've not had one win since I moved up to B rating, so definitely won't stand a chance as an A!

The only gripe I've got about that wheel is it doesn't look like a G27. They're much better to look at without all the extra buttons.

I'm doing something really weird to get mine. I'm going into a shop on Monday to get it. I haven't been in one of those since the internet was invented!

For nostalgia's sake, I'm going to use money instead of paying by card. So old fashioned.

The new penalty system has a major impact on your SR. I ran a couple of good races at Alsace yesterday, with some good drivers, then had a mare of a race with some dirty drivers!

I got rammed three times, and my SR went down from S (99 points) to A (69 points) in that one race...

Then had a couple of nice clean races again, and my rating went back up to 73 points - so nearly back to S again. I'll see what today's races bring.

It just looks a bit more toy like to me and cluttered. Thinking about it, I've got a hell of a lot more buttons in my real car but they're not highlighted in lurid colours

It's our Currys-PC-World which is often competitive. I guess it has to be seeing as lots of shops are going under over here. Tough to compete with the internet with all their overheads. They're a couple of miles from home too so if there's any problems, it should be a quick and painless turnaround.

I could get it £20 cheaper online but that would be without the shifter... not that I'll use it that often.

I like the changes. A few aggressive drivers aside, I noticed an overall increase in etiquette.👍

If it curbs some aggression, it should suit us lot in here very nicely. The penalties need toning down a notch though as there's a real fear of them, which isn't so good for close racing.
