had a 1.5 hour session at Rons combo and got 1'04.878 out of it

i have had a t2 .1 faster but i did the last corner like a madman, haha, i only see .1 left with the ds2, not sure about the dfp though, i may give it ago with that tomorrow

Well I am shocked at such a great time so easily :scared: I will look at it later and see how the hell I managed to leave .2 on the track :dunce: what auto speed setting did you use ? I found 290 was the best for me .... obviously I was wrong :dopey:

Ok just watched your lap Holl01 and I have to say you drove totally different to me and to the best of my knowledge the lap is not valid for the BC :nervous:

I understood that my car had to be on track at all times and within the white lines in the tunnels! so i drove that way all the time .... your lap cuts tight close to the walls behind the white lines in both tunnels .... I would have drove like that if it was allowed 👍 I already dumped a 1.04.9 with a tiny millimetre of tyre behind the white line on tunnel 1 only.

here's your lap against mine on sectors

20.402 / 39.734 - 1.04.878
20.324 / 39.685 - 1.05.035

Thanks for the comparison but I need a valid lap to compare against :) unless I get told by Todd or someone else that the whole track is in play then I will for sure get a time in the same region 👍
 
You've got it correct ron. Stay within the white lines as you've been doing.👍

I'd guess if you can get a 1'04 while staying within the lines you'd have a good shot at a top 3 or better.
 
sorry about that ron, i probably should have checked the rules b4 hand, i will see if i can do a sub 1'04.xxx time without cheating, lol

I look forward to viewing the PAL replays in the results and see how many sub 1.05's are within the white lines :sly: hopefully an NTSC member will view the others ;)

I think my final time will be the 1.05.015 I have saved as I just spent 3 hours flat and only beat it with a lap that had an incident going behind the white lines on tunnel 2 :crazy: my thumb is really sore after that session and I'm pretty confident that I will get top 4 or 5 with the time I have .... but like I say I will examine all the replays faster than mine and even a sniff of a 3rd wheel off and i'll call it out!!! 👍
I have went out of my way to make sure i'm within the rules 100% and can only see another .1 at the most still by staying within the rules!

I have ran a few 1.04.9's but they have been binned .... hopefully the opponents will have the same ideas 👍

I'll get one more session in before I submit my final time and replay to Todd tomorrow night :)

Ok I decided I'm done with my race as it would be flogging a dead horse for me!
in total i'm about 12 hours in total time into this combo and the 1.04 within the rules just aint happening :indiff:

Yes, while I agree with Rypien that should probably be run that way within the letter of the rules, I think that for simplicity's sake we will consider ALL portions of Cathedral Rocks to be allowable, since it is a rally track.

That way you can cut the corner before T2 on the road section.
 
After 4 hours playing i think i may submit this time

i had a few chances to get 1'36.6xx but not to be

Ron, maybe u can give this test a go and see if my time is good

the combo is with subura impreza rally car 03' at cathederal rocks 1 (use 320 top speed)

I'm going to need some info on what's going on with Toffe and vexd real soon here...
 
Toffe and VEXD are busy throwing empty lager cans and tomatoes at any French car that passes them. (no offense flat out, or any other french drivers, or people for that matter)
They can also be found destroying trees with orange leaves on them, and running around looting any jewellers stores they find, or boxing clubs, or indeed any other venue that involves autumn or a ring.

The Chaps at BMW have started parking all their MINI's in secure storage for fear of a massive profit loss over the next couple of weex while the pair on the rampage calm down.

They have also reported times of both 1'18.7 for Toffe and 1'18.0 for VEXD as totals for the race in question, though VEXD is convinced that Toffe made an error and got his higher digits the wrong way round.

Either way, both parties are well aware that the deadline is soon, and are working hard towards their goal.

Now, I think I've reach my limit here. Been stuck with 1'00.967 forever and I don't see any significant improvements within the next 3 days. The replay attached is final as far as I'm concerned. (NTSC)

How do you get past that wall anyway? The time is there. Been done already, but not on the same lap. Do I havta light candles and do hail mary's?

The problem I have with not achieving time as I'm sure you do Small F is that I think that if I don't get it, someone else will. And in BC probably more than 1 somebody. :ouch:

My two best race laps would give me .375 better. I'm not going to go through the torture of adding up best splits for 2 laps. The fifth of JD in the cupboard would be boots up if I did that.

So if anyone knows of any Voodoo or magic spells or whatever, I'm game. RIGHT NOW!

Best way is to not pay attention to your T times, otherwise you get nervous.

And only think about the next few corners, and nailing them 100%.

Basically you just have to keep your cool and concentration and not get nervouse when your up on your best ghost.
 
I've always found that once I get all tensed up it's better just to go watch TV for 20-30 minutes and completely forget about it for a while. Even better to go shag the wife or something then try again. Relaxation helps:tup:
 
Thanks guys. Of course you are both right! Sorry for the rant last night. I was just so close to crackin' it. I really hope you get yours figured out Dion. I can't believe the low times you are turning to be truthful. Tough car to drive at that track!
I'll keep givin' it a go till time runs out.......or I have the big one, or Mrs. Shunt gives me the heave to. :sly: :dopey:

Ive just figured out what i did wrong, i didnt take Todd's late advice about shaggin me missus, kinda difficult, seeing as i dont have one, but still, i probably could have rustled something up to find those last 6 tenths!

1'01.900!!! yay i got 1'01 but on downside i lost about .458 in T3 :(

god damit if i could only have stuck the last sector could of had a 1'01.5

BUT at least im improving, my Start - T2 was absolutely insane!!. Now im only .5xx or so off my 'ultimate' lap!.

Still got a few days yet, that 1'01.5 will be mine!! 👍

Seen a few 20.0xx T1's, But hard to replicate T1 - T2. Im so close to getting a 1'01.5 or 1'01.6. Sooner or later it has to come together!

Glad to see you got 1'01 Small Fryz. Nice job!

I ran for about an hour last night, and although I still couldn't put it all together, I'm closer than I've ever been, so am confident I will do it eventually. 👍

I took Todd's excellent advice(shag the missus), but fell asleep so didn't get back to racing. :lol:

Are you sure this is the type of training regimen you want to recommend Todd? :D
 
ok guys im in a predicament

i think ive figured out the winning time, will be 15'50.xxx

so far my best opening lap is 1'40.373, with a best lap of 1'31.7xx

my problem is... on lap 8, i have to lap the field again... and i keep ****en ramming their slow ASSES
