That's what I get for refusing to stop and ask for directions. :ouch:

Anyway, awesome pictures.

This weekends race at Toscana is gonna be legit

The races at Toscana and Chamonix will be closer and harder fought than at the Nurburgring and la Sarthe, as we saw when we had a practice session at Chamonix. Overtaking will be tricky too, as it's hard to see through the dirt/snow from the car in front.

This post also serves as a thread bump. :sly:

Yes, this week is gonna be tight. It will be 30 laps long and run just over an hour. I have to apologize for my absence over this week. I have had a lot of things going on that haven't even allowed me to watch the hour and a half replay yet. I hope everyone is ready for the race tonight. See you guys there.

Oh ****, I messed my time zones up >.<

I was waiting for you online :P

What time will the be in eastern time?

Correct, 8pm est...7pm cst. I'll be on in a few more minutes and will open up for practice shortly thereafter.

Unofficial standings entering week 3:

1.JoeOfTheFire 132pts
2.swervesauce 91pts
3.Fleaver 85pts
4.Mick_C_1080 79pts
5.Boltzz_55pts
6.Rich77 38pts
7.P_O_P_E 35pts
7.Jav122678 35pts
9.Thru_Purple 32pts
10.hypergolem 29pts

Wow...I have a 40 point lead, and am about 100 points ahead of five people. However, I may not be up at the front in the dirt and snow races; my laptimes are not very consistant, and judging from what I saw when we practiced at Chamonix, it will be a hard fought race. (and hard to see through the dirt/snow as well as the Toscana sunset in a few corners)

Room is open

Seems one or two got the time zones mixed up. My lounge is open now and we are starting qualifying in 5 minutes. You can join in right up to start of race.

Hey I just added you.

INTENSE race. Me and swerve had a wicked battle he got me but it was well worth it and the highlight of the race for me.

Hey I just added you.
Ok, I must have not noticed before signing off. I'll accept asap. You're more than welcome to hop in on this series to get aquainted. Seems there has been some drop outs so I'm going to open up registrations.

Intense is a good description. We battled damn near half the race. I think you were quicker getting through turns, but I had the acceleration. The funnest, closest race I've had yet.

To those who showed up this week, thanks for the tough competition and continued support. See you guys next week!

Rally in the GT series has never been a strong point for me. But I figured that this'd be a good way to learn.

I was able to follow behind Rich77 for the first half dozen laps. Once or twice he nearly opened the door. But I think this was due to him being off his better pace. Once he found his groove he pulled away from me. He then battled Swerve up ahead of me.

I ended up driving alone, I was happy enough to use the remainder of the race to work on my Rally driving. But then on lap 14 of 30, I was un-expectedly ( is there any other way ) disconnected.

I tried to re-join in a hurry, thinking perhaps the whole room might have crashed. But that wasn't the case. PS3 kept telling me that t couldn't re-connect. I looked over to my modem and one of my lights, the last of the "always lit" ones was out.

So it was a big problem on my end, I had to shut the PS3 off and re-boot to be able to re-join the race lobby and catch the final results.

Good driving by Fleaver who had a big win.

Good win by Fleaver. If I was able to do fast laps more consistantly, it may have been a closer race, but my laptimes varied from a 1.46 to something like a 1.53 .

Another top 2 finish for me though; my laptimes may not be consistant, but my finishes are.

Chamonix may end up with the results in a similar order, but hopefully with more people turning up.

I consistently lapped 1:47's-1:49's but being that the top two were losing me by 2-3 seconds a lap, there just wasn't enough I could do. I noticed back in my garage that my WRX was at 379hp <--- oops! so that definitely contributed to my slower times. I had been under 1:47's at Toscana almost every practice a while back, but due to my very busy schedule the last two weeks, resulting in no practice and obviously no paying attention, I've let my crew down two weeks straight....in both series :dunce:

I am going to try and recruit some more drivers and call upon some of the no shows, but going into week 4, I can't see that many (if any) joining up midway through. We'll see how it goes. I've got something up my sleve coming to my league in the near future that will make it rewarding to show up everyweek.

As always, great racing guys 👍

I am back from the dead!

League race results and standings now reflecting through 3 weeks (follow link in the sig). Sorry for the delay as I have been a little busy and put the lengthy replays on the back burner. Le Sarthe and Toscana total times and fastest laps have now been recorded.

The top three are still very tight with Fleaver leap-frogging me (swervesauce) into a nice 2nd place with his 70 point dominance at Toscana. Highlights and pictures coming very soon!

You'd fit in well at PD. :sly:
Don't think I let that slip by Drifter....see if you don't start a lap down this week :lol:
