do you guys think there should be rain snow and fog etc in gran turismo 4?

Should be? yes, lots of other games seem to manage it. Will be? Nope. They're not big on weather in Japan .;)

no... Ive always hated snow stages in rally games.

I hope we have rain. I always like wet stages.

On a similar note.....

We've seen a few of the stages at multiple times of day. Does anyone know if there will be a way to select night or day? It'd be especially cool if time passed. It bugs me that it's dusk when you start the Seattle Enduro, and over an hour later, at the end of the race, it's still dusk. It'd be amazing if it were night at the end.

Real- time weather effects would be amazing, coupled with setting the clock of the PS2 so that it works with your timing whereever u are, Wet stages should be brought back and compliment 6 cars instead of 4, i didn't like that, it seemed a bit empty.

Wet stages & the choice between night & day would be great :)

I'd really like to race on deep forest on a miserable wet october day, maybe its coz I'm British

As for snowy rally stages, in most games I do better in snow must suit my driving style I guess :)

They should have all the weather effects and times of day, unfortunatley there won't be all of that, wet stages will return and possibl timexs of day on certain courses.

Snow would be great but i hhate the wet stages

rain would be awesome another thign thatw ould be awesome is if there is like lighting near you and everys lights up!! thatd be dope and yes night stages are cool! i my fav night stage was ROME NIGHT.... i miss that course :(

snow might be cool, but its always a game production hog and id rather have them working on other things, but rain would be sweet, especially if there were big puddles to bust through at 200 mph =)

'''i really dig the clock idea.... how SIM can you get??? You can do your own enduro and see the sun rise in the game and outside....

Weather effects would be awesome. Especally if the car gets more visually dirty and the lights light up things in front.

I love raining and wet track. Hopefully PD will make wet tracks available not just for rally competition like in GT3 but available in some or all tracks in GT4. Now imagine wet track of Cote D`Azur (Monaco) :D

Oh, yes that would be chuffin' great. Particularly in some off-the-hook british sports car (stand up TVR). That would be a real challenge, since the track is so bumpy, adding rain into the mixture will cause it to become a track requiring real concentration.

Yes rain and car changes (color ect.) would be lanc cool ... but not snow and that kinda stuff ... just rain I think ... so we can actually SEE how a 4WD car can be better in the wet ...

I would like to see rain on a Rally course. The idea of mud flying through the air and splashing through big puddles sounds great to me.

Some kind of Magic Weather option, as seen in F355 Challenge game would be great: every track in that game has 7 types of lighting, depending of the time of the day and type of clouds.

Basically, the graphic engine is just making dinamic lighting and colorising of the track, sky and surroundings.

Including like 3 or 5 different lighting settings (times of day) for every track (opposite to existing 1 - or 2, if you count thet different lighting in reverse mode is second lighting), that would randomly change during the championships or cups would do a great thing for game-dynamic. Having possibility to manually change time of day for every track in Free Ride mode would also be great.

And including the option that game randomly make dry/wet option for tracks in cups and championships of GT Mode would finally make a great use of wet track settings.

Real-time rain and real-time weather and time-of-the-day change would be great but we'll not get it before the next hardware, I think.:(

A Le Mans 24 hour game for the PS1 had the full 24 hour lighting even if it was a bit crude. The sun kinda jerked at Sunrise.

if naything the main things i want i rain and LIGHTNING and mud for rally courses
