I think no one here has said Lauren isn't a car guy. I'ts just that his collection isn't as intresting as Leno's. Lauren's has a taste for over-restored top-dollar classics with high design cues and top rarity, and keeps them as clean as dinning tables. Leno's got a taste for the odd, the unique and the strong, and ALSO for the beautiful and rare.
In Lauren's garage you see a Bugatti Atlatic sitting alongside an alloy 300 SL, both awesome and inspiting and beautiful, but expected really in such a high profile collection. You walk around it like in a museum, white walls, perfect illumination, not a dirty spot.
In Leno's garage you see an unrestored Duesenberg the guy pulled out of a barn himself yesterday sitting alongside a perfect-condition Ford Shogun pocket rocket with an Indian motorcicle between them. You start walking and step on Leno's feet because you didin't notice he himself was working under his rear-engine Tatra fin car.
They are just different car guys. Leno's collection is WAY more interesting. And a lot bigger too.
