McLaren F1, only 58 are left from 64

The Nissan R390 road car is pretty rare. Only 2 built and one is stashed away in a Nissan warehouse if i recall correctly.

One thing I've never been sure about: Was that one of each spec (1997 and 1998), or are they both 1998 cars now? I know there was a 1997 car at one point, but I've never heard anything regarding if it is still in its original form.

I know that there are only 3 Ferrari 330 P4s in the world.

I saw vettel racing the x1 on tv f1 racing....

Proof of this actually happening in real life would be good... Never knew models actually functioned...

The blue '98 model was sold to an anonymous person in 2002. It was never registered, so no one really
knows where it is now.

I have seen pictures of a red '97 model without the giant wing, but have yet to find any info on it.

Edit: The blue car is in the Zama warehouse.

I took down what I put about a white one. The info was false.

Some corrections if I may...

There is a white 1997 LM model with the giant Le Mans wing, fog lights, etc. in Nissan's Zama warehouse.

(Talking about the race versions here)
'98. In '97 the R390s were black and red.
In fact, 2 (of 4) of the 1998s are in there, and 2 (of 3) of the 97s are to.

The blue '98 model was sold to an anonymous person in 2002. It was never registered, so no one really
knows where it is now.

As far as I know, both road going versions were blue. '98 is the one in the Zama warehouse. '97s whereabouts are unknown.

I have seen pictures of a red '97 model without the giant wing, but have yet to find any info on it.

Can you find these pictures again?

The Jaguar XJ220 is definitely a rare one. Around 280 were made I think.

You're right about the blue car being the Zama warehouse one.

I found some faulty info about what I thought to be a white one, it turns out it's just a slot car some guy made up a story about. :dunce: on my part.

I live in southern Indiana in the states so if I see any car that is in GT5 other than Nascar's and the dodge Ram I consider it to be pretty rare! :D

And there it is! Thanks. I wonder who owns it and why I couldn't find it. :p I can see it has the short tail, so that would mean... Toronado the '97 was not updated to '98 spec. :)

I had edited my previous post with the above, just wanted to make sure you saw it. :)

As for who owns the red one? My guess would be one of those sultans or princes in the Arab countries.

Here's the blue one at one of the old auto expos:

The RUFs probably all classify as rare since they only have the time and facilities to modify a limited number of Porches.
I believe they only made 30???:odd: or thereabouts Yellowbirds, of which who knows how many are still around.

As far as I know, there's only one Tommy Kaira ZZII prototype.

Also, there was only one Nismo R33 GT-R LM Road Car built. I believe it's at Zama too.

There are only two Mazda 787s and three 787Bs in existence. The third 787B doesn't have headlights.

There are also only six Ford Mark IVs built. One of them was totaled when Mario Andretti crashed during the 1967 24 hours of LeMans. So there's only five left now...

The Ferrari F40 is pretty rare isn't it?

There were 1311 F40s built.

The Enzo is much rarer with only 399 built.

To Desperado, that said "about 30" yellowbirds, you were close, it's 29.

1311 is still a pretty low number in my opinion, but as you said with only 399 built the Enzo is much more rare.

EDIT: Not trying to argue with you 88FoxBodyFan I'm just stating my opinion.

Saleen S7 also seems pretty rare, haven't found an exact number but I'm seeing websites saying less than 200? Anyone know the exact number?

I though the Enzo was only made in a run of 301 car, with number 1 of 301 given to the pope for auction... Leaving 300 for everyone else.. Or was it 401... I swear it was X01 though...

They were supposed to make 399, but made a 400th one that they auctioned off with the proceeds going to the pope.

Theres plenty of Mclaren F1s and Enzo Ferraris out there compared to the number of Zondas built:
5-6 Zonda C12
15 Zonda C12 S
~18 Zonda C12 S 7.3
15 planned Zonda R

There are plenty more than that isn't there?

There are loads and loads of 'run out, limited edition' models of the Zonda, unless you have already included these.

In which case i take my comment back :P

Edit: I missed symustafa's post at first, but that explains the F40.

@s10train

No, I agree, 1311 cars is a rare amount.

@Nismo34

I've seen multiple sources that 399 was the number built. I'll find sources later when I'm back on my personal computer. They may have special built a couple more after that, for people such as the pope.

This was done with the Toyota Gt-One Road Car. Only one was originally built. But then they special built three more for some of the sultans and princes in the Arabic countries, at least that's what I've been led to believe.

There was the F50, of which only 349 were built, because Ferrari believed that was one more than would be wanted.

Edit: In the F50 part, I meant less, not more.

Those are the estimated production numbers for the 4 Zonda models in GT5.

I have not included numbers for the one-off Zondas as they are not in GT5. In total, 120-130 Zondas have been built: but this number includes ~50 Zonda Fs, ~12 Zonda S Roadsters, 10 Zonda Cinque and various other one-offs, all of which are not in GT5.

No mention of the Shelby Cobra 427? Isn't it under 100 units produced?

Ferrari actually believed that they should build one LESS than the market demands, same for the Enzo, hence 399. But they just decided to build a 400th one later.

Yeah, I meant less, thanks for clarifying.

That's what heavy drinking in Myrtle Beach, SC'll get ya.

As for Cobra 427s, I can't remember the exact number due to the above statement, but its around 300 altogether, with (I think) 31 S/Cs built.

Edit: There were 260 regular (if that word can be used for a Cobra) 427 street models built, and 31 S/Cs.

The total amount of original (1961-1967) Cobras altogether (including 260s, 289s, 427s, coupes, roasters, etc.) was 998.

Good call, if I'm correct it was 2 with the 427 OHC which I believe is supposed to be the one on the game (not just the regular push rod 427) I know there was only 1 Daytona Coupe with that motor?

My thought is that there are so many variations of Zondas that nobody can simply count them all  as I've seen 3 of them in the car park of the building where I live :odd:

I don't know if the models in-game are rare in real-life, but if I were to guess, I would say 'No'.

Rare to me, I've never seen a real one in my life! :( :( :( :( :(
