I'm essentially forced to see a little bit of it on every Delta flight, although I do not listen (my headphones are typically elsewhere). I actually watched 15 minutes of it with sound just out of curiosity, but I still don't understand why people enjoy watching 30-somethings dance around pretending to be half their age.

I don't get Glee, I've seen like all of 15 mins and I couldn't stand it. From what I gather its just a bunch of people playing characters half their age singing average karaoke covers of songs. I guess its not my generation

I watch it more for the storylines, which used to be good, but got a bit stupid during season 2.

With nearly 60,000 views on YouTube, and as some of the comments started to get nasty, the song’s producers gave Rebecca the opportunity to take the video down, but she's stayed strong - or maybe she just can't decide which seat to take in the whole argument. Front seat or back?

My friends band was headlining a gig last weekend where the opening band did their own angsty indie rock/alt country take on "Friday". It was pretty well done and got the crowd going.

People enjoyed it because they recognised as an internet sensation, it was funny (but not at the band's expense).

On another note, I'm just going to put my thoughts out there: if "Friday" was originally recorded by [insert popular artist here], I'd be willing to bet there wouldn't be anywhere near as much of a negative response towards the poor lyrics. And to be honest, I don't think the lyrics are much worse than most songs currently played on commercial radio stations. I'm not the only one who thinks this way, am I?
